"Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful stay at Interlaken Youth Hostel. Everything exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely perfect — just a short walking distance from the train station, which made traveling around Interlaken and nearby attractions extremely convenient. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any questions. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. The hostel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Facilities were great, and everything felt very organized and welcoming. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Interlaken. I would happily stay here again!"

"The room was clean and tidy, with a well-thought-out layout, and a small balcony offering nice mountain views, including paragliders. Facilities: Although the bathroom was not large, it was very convenient to use, showing great attention to detail in its design. The breakfast was quite rich and the food was healthy. There's also a communal dining area with self-heating facilities, so you can buy food and heat it up yourself. The owner was very hospitable, proactively asking about our stay, which made us feel right at home."

"Hotel Interlaken is a gem! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and local tips to make your stay unforgettable. But the real stars of the show (besides the staff, of course!) are the breathtaking views of the mountains surrounding Interlaken - truly stunning! And after a day of exploring, the rain shower in the room was the perfect way to relax and unwind. If you're looking for a hotel with a warm welcome, stunning scenery, and a fantastic shower, look no further than Hotel Interlaken. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is located in Interlaken West, just a few minutes' walk from the train station! Along the way and nearby, there are numerous shops and restaurants, including a COOP supermarket. 😂 Although I shared a bathroom, it was just a few steps from my room and clean! I received a confirmation email from the hotel before check-in, allowing me to check in online, streamlining the check-in process. 👍🏻 Although I missed the front desk's opening hours, I received an email notification and received my room key, transportation card, and Wi-Fi password. Although I didn't interact with the staff formally, every time I saw them, they were always smiling and nodding. I had been concerned that my room, located above the restaurant, would be noisy or subject to cooking smells, but upon arrival, I didn't notice any of that!"

"Great location. Thankful for an issuance of a bigger room/ double bed. A single bed comforter was issued though. My room was at the extension wing portion, with auto sensor lighting along the rooms corridor and a slight delayed lighting. Would have a preferred a bright corridor. The heater/ AC system can be on the noisier side too."

"This is an old-fashioned hotel with over a hundred years of history in the area. It's a combination of two classical hotel buildings, a modern central lobby and restaurant built more recently, and a two-story modern apartment-style accommodation at the back. The two classical hotel buildings are Carlton and Europe. Their interiors have been largely optimized for modern needs. The current hotel owners, while renovating, had to adhere to government regulations for preserving the antique structure. However, the rest of the amenities have been modernized as much as possible, with original wood flooring used for repairs and replacements. Overall, it's a very good hotel! Breakfast is buffet-style, but the selection is essentially a Swiss-European breakfast: yogurt, bread and jam, juice, hot tea and coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pan-fried shredded potatoes, fruit, and various cheeses and cold cuts. For tourists not accustomed to Western-style meals, it might be a bit challenging. The restaurant also offers additional egg dishes or other options for an extra charge – but you have to pay more! The location is very convenient. Right outside is Interlaken Ost station, the starting point for various attractions in the Alps. You can even take a boat from here to the small town of Brienz, or to Iseltwald, famous for the Korean drama 'Crash Landing on You.' Both the pier and the small castle are stunning scenic spots. Upon check-in, the front desk provides a free bus pass, allowing you to take buses to explore various towns. This is different from the mountain trains and cable cars, which require extra payment to go up the mountains quickly. Generally, most attractions stop going up the mountain after 5 PM, so it's best to start early in the morning to make good use of your time! However, this hotel still has its drawbacks. For example, while the water supply is comprehensive, the hot and cold water stability is very poor. Turning on the hot water can be scalding, and sometimes it suddenly turns cold mid-shower, then becomes super hot again. The showering experience is quite subpar! Each guest room uses a classical keyhole lock for opening and closing the door. There's no modern double-bolt lock; you have to lock the door from the inside with the door key. The upside is that once locked from the inside, the keyhole is filled by the key, preventing anyone from picking the lock from the outside. When you go out and lock up, the heavy key can be left in the mail slot at the front desk, or entrusted to the front desk for safekeeping, in a classic manner! Most importantly, this hotel does not allow children! According to the owner's vision, he wants this hotel to be adult-focused, allowing busy people to enjoy their own time while traveling and recharging, rather than having to take care of children during their vacation. This way, adults can truly live for themselves. Therefore, this hotel does not allow guests under 16 years old. If you plan to book with children, please look for accommodation elsewhere – it's better for both parties! Overall, this is a good place for mature individuals to stay, perfect for those focused on enjoying mountain excursions. Who wouldn't want to return to their hotel immediately after coming down the mountain to rest?"

"Stayed at twin deluxe room which is newly renovated and on the higher floors. Chose this specific twin room because of its size. Pros: 1. Hotel staff were friendly both at reception and breakfast 2. Rooms were fairly large and modern, views were incredibly (ask for mountain facing room) 3. They will give you an Interlaken guest card. 4. Location is about 7-10 mins walk from Interlaken West Station and surrounded by high-end shops. 5. There's free self-service coffee and tea making area at one of the floors and its helpful if you have a jug/bottle to fill cold/hot water Cons: 1. Same breakfast everyday and it lacked variety 2. No kettle nor cups to make hot drinks (notice this is the case with hotels in Switzerland 3. TV channels were mostly in German language"

"Everything is good except few technical problems in my room. I think the room has just been newly renovated and not yet running smoothly, there were problems the kitchen door, wifi signal, TV signal. But staffs were very helpful to try fixing the problems."

"Interlaken has beautiful scenery. This hotel has been open for a long time and its facilities are relatively old, but it unexpectedly has a sense of home. The hotel staff are polite and enthusiastic, willing to talk about the history of the town and introduce the surrounding beautiful scenery. I recommend staying here. In addition, the way to use the hotel key is very interesting, attached to the picture."

"I booked this hotel for its beautiful views, but I was worried the room I'd get wouldn't have a good view, so I only booked one night. Turns out, we got incredibly lucky! The lady at the front desk was super nice, polite, and enthusiastic. She gave us a room with an absolutely stunning view. As soon as we entered, my family all agreed we should book another night. Unfortunately, shortly after we booked, I got a call from the same front desk lady. She apologized and said we couldn't extend our stay in that specific room and would have to switch to another. She offered us a chance to see the new room beforehand to make sure we liked it. The new room was on a lower floor in the front building, with slightly less impressive views, but still acceptable. So, we ended up extending our stay for another night. If you're traveling by car, I highly recommend this hotel."
