"This has been the most satisfying hotel of my trip to Switzerland so far. Check-in, check-out, and breakfast were all handled at the Royal Plaza Hotel across the street. We arrived early, and the front desk immediately processed our check-in, saving us from waiting until 3 PM. We were given two rooms with excellent locations and orientations, practically the best rooms available, both with air conditioning, and one even had a balcony. I'd like to thank Trip.com for communicating with the hotel on our behalf. Based on our request, the hotel arranged air-conditioned rooms for us, which was a lifesaver as it's been scorching hot in Switzerland these past few days. The hotel itself is quite historic, having once hosted Mr. Charlie Chaplin. Despite its age, it doesn't feel old-fashioned at all. The rooms are clean, tidy, comfortable, and spacious. The Royal Plaza Hotel is a star-rated establishment situated by the lake, offering beautiful scenery. The hotel's pool and gym are available for free use. The only minor drawback was the limited breakfast selection. It was a simple Western breakfast, lacking items like vegetable salad, eggs, and pasta. However, the dried sliced bread and capsule coffee were quite good and stood out. The hotel entrance is right next to a bus stop, making it very convenient to get to the train station in just a few minutes, or about a fifteen-minute walk. To visit Chillon Castle, you also take the bus towards the train station; just hop on bus 201 from the hotel entrance, and it's only a few stops past the train station. Very convenient! I've included photos with bus stop and schedule information for reference. If I ever have the chance to visit Montreux again later in life, I will definitely stay at this hotel."

"Location: Great lakeside location with beautiful lake views from the higher floor rooms. Facilities: Well-equipped facilities. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was poor; there were even spiderwebs on the balcony. Service: The female staff I encountered were generally very good, enthusiastic, and attentive. However, two middle-aged male staff members (I forgot to ask their names) were overly 'sharp' in their service. They kept aggressively pushing the hotel's paid parking and refused to provide details about the public parking lot next door. It only took a young female staff member a couple of sentences to explain it clearly."

It made things especially convenient for first-time visitors, as it saved the hassle of purchasing tickets and made it easier to explore the surrounding area. In addition, the city tax is 25 Swiss francs, which does not need to be paid at check-in; it can simply be settled upon check-out. Overall, these details reflect the hotel’s attentive and considerate service."

"The hotel is super close to Lake Geneva, just a three-minute stroll away – absolutely perfect! **Facilities:** The room was very spacious, featuring a double bed and a bunk bed. Although the window faced directly onto the street, it was surprisingly quiet at night. **Cleanliness:** Spotless. **Service:** The male staff member at the front desk was humorous and engaging. We arrived in the morning, well before check-in time, and the female staff member kindly helped us store our luggage."

"Very recommended, the whole mood is happy as soon as you enter the hotel. Classical style, facing the scenery of Leiman Lake, the left hand is the Xiyong Castle! "I arrived quite early, so I asked if I could leave my luggage there, but they allowed me to check in. There was no one at the reception desk, but they responded by pressing a button and even helped me operate the check-in machine. She was very kind, humorous, and fun, and she also helped me a lot when I checked out. I'm very grateful. The view was amazing, and I could sit on the balcony and enjoy my coffee while looking at the lake. The room was spacious, and the shower was fine. I wish the curtains were a little wider, but as long as I was careful, water didn't splash all the way into the toilet. The hair dryer had great airflow. It's less than 10 minutes from the station, and there's an elevator along the way, so you don't have to worry about slopes or stairs. There are also restaurants and shops nearby. Chillon Castle is a 30-40 minute walk along the flat road around the lake, so I recommend walking there while enjoying the scenery."
