It is located in Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, about 2,200 meters above sea level, right behind the Tourist Service Center, close to shopping streets, restaurants, train stations, bus stations and tourist service centers, and transportation is very convenient., and can book sunrise tours to Yushan National Park. The hotel uses electric blankets all year round, and heating equipment is provided in winter (computer-controlled below 7 degrees C).
"The location is great, just a few hundred meters from the Alishan Tourist Train Station, which is super convenient for watching the sunrise and exploring Alishan in depth. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom wasn't very comfortable; overall, the facilities felt a bit basic. However, the front desk staff were very enthusiastic and helped make up for the less-than-ideal hardware."

"We drove here. The proprietress was very friendly and gave us advice on which route to take to Alishan that would be easier, as we hadn't really done our homework 😂. The B&B also includes breakfast and has many adorable cats! 😍
We stayed in a double room. Since it's a wooden cabin, you can somewhat hear sounds from the next room, but everyone seemed to go to bed around 10:30-11:30 PM (I assume, because it suddenly became quiet). That's probably because everyone was planning to watch the sunrise the next day. Oh, and if you want to watch the sunrise, the proprietress will tell you where the good spots are, and they're not far at all."

"Our stay in the family room at Fenqihu Hotel truly exceeded expectations! The room was much more spacious than I imagined; we could spread out our luggage with plenty of room to spare, which is a huge plus for families traveling together. The beds were incredibly comfortable – I fell asleep instantly, getting that much-needed relaxation during a trip 😌.
What I loved most was how clean the entire place was. There was no dampness or stuffy smell, which is quite rare and impressive for a mountain area. It was also very quiet at night, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Waking up to a full mountain view outside the window, with super fresh air, felt like an instant recharge 🌄.
The staff were also very friendly and approachable, patiently helping us with any questions we had. Plus, the location is incredibly convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to the old street, making it super easy to enjoy local food and take photos.
Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for travelers looking to relax and conveniently explore Fenqihu. It's absolutely perfect for families, and I would definitely love to stay here again!"

"The room facilities were complete and very clean, and there was always hot water for showering. The B&B's location is quite close to two train stations, and there's also a walking trail nearby where you can watch the sunrise and sunset. The owner was incredibly friendly and gave us lots of great suggestions for our itinerary. We enjoyed their prepared breakfast on the balcony, and their tea was especially fragrant."

"The service was exceptional! On the day my girlfriend and I were checking out, we wanted to spend a bit more time exploring Alishan National Scenic Area before catching our train down the mountain. Before we even had a chance to ask, the staff at the front desk proactively offered to deliver our luggage directly to the train station, saving us the trip back to the hotel. This level of service was incredibly thoughtful! The hotel's shuttle arrived at the station at 11:30 AM, just as we were returning from exploring Zhaoping Park. We were able to board our 11:50 AM train down the mountain effortlessly. We're truly grateful for the hotel staff's incredible help!"

EEmma LeeSGIt is a beautiful stay. Aside from the wrong choice of transport, all are great. From comfort of accomodation, hospitality of the owner and workers to the delicious food and drinks. Advice: take a car to and from the accom or be like us, we took bus and pushed our luggages up the very steep slope on a high altitude, almost killing ourselves! Haa.

GGuest UserThe B&B is located on the way up Alishan Highway. The owner was very helpful, providing detailed instructions on how to get to the B&B and Alishan by bus. The place smells wonderfully of tea, and the room was simple and clean. Following the owner's advice, I walked 5 minutes to a small tea plantation on a hillside near the B&B. It fulfilled my wish to stargaze at night and watch the sunrise in the morning. The tea plantation scenery was beautiful, and I even got a discount when buying some tea leaves. However, it might be flower season, so be aware that the uphill buses might be full!

배배민도서비스리뷰안씀Going to Alishan -> Where's the Alishan Hotel? -> Why is the hotel so cheap today? Following this stream of consciousness, I planned my trip around that one strangely cheap day for a hotel, which ended up being a trip to Taichung.
There were many reviews, but the location is great, and the view is absolutely fantastic. They even posted the sunrise train schedule for Chaoping Station and the sunrise time in the hotel lobby. There's also a round-trip shuttle to the Alishan Information Center. The hotel room was clean, and they informed me that hot water would be available until midnight, but it was still working fine in the morning.
The air conditioner is a combined heating and cooling unit. If you switch the mode correctly, you'll see a 'heat' indicator. It was a bit chilly that day, but I slept warmly. The hotel room is quite spacious, and the bedding is excellent.
When booking through Trip.com, it states that you need to call to confirm your reservation two days before your stay. I recommend trying to send an email first. It was a difficult time for both the staff member and me... ㅠㅠ Sending an email resolved it very simply. And for some reason, Trip.com also called me separately regarding the reservation. I'm still not sure if they confirmed the reservation on Trip.com's end and notified me, or if they did it because my initial attempt to use Trip.com's internet call failed.
The check-in process was assisted by a male staff member who was very friendly. Thank you!
The hotel has a restaurant, but it's entirely reservation-based. I ate dinner outside, so I reserved for breakfast. It was served neatly and simply. In the morning, the door to the stairs is blocked, so you have to use the elevator.

DDominiqueNThis was really the best home stay experience we ever had! The owners are super kind. Upon arrival, they warmly welcomed us in and gave us delicious tea, apple, snacks, and their good company. The room itself had amazing views over the mountains, tea plants, and sakura. The room was really big, equipped with a good shower and comfortable beds. We even got a free room upgrade and tasty breakfast with fresh fruits. Next morning we were taken on a tour over the Tea Plantation and the owner told us not only about the process but could give us information on all the other plants like coffee plants, flowers, etc. We really hope we can stay here in the future again.

VVincentThe hotel is located about an hour's drive up the mountain. On clear days, it's incredibly convenient to watch the sunrise directly from your room. While it may not be the iconic sunrise near Yushan Main Peak (often referred to as the Alishan sunrise), the viewing experience here is still wonderful. The other hotel facilities were standard.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, as it was very clean. The room I stayed in was spacious, had a bathtub, and the water temperature and pressure were excellent. Breakfast is included, but it's served at an off-site partner restaurant near Alishan Station, shared by several hotels. The quality of the food is decent. With a check-out time of 11 AM, you can leave your luggage in the room, take a stroll around Shuiping, and still make it back in time for the 11:50 AM mini train to Chiayi.

GGuest UserThe name is very grand. From the appearance, you can see how the original owner put a lot of effort into building it. It is beautiful and some of the saunas in the facilities are great! The temperature is sufficient and the water is clean. It's a pity that the steam room is not open, but overall I am very satisfied. There is an outdoor swimming pool for swimming, an indoor gym, a children's playroom, several game consoles, etc. for use. Great!
Have breakfast at Galileo Western Restaurant, the beef soup is super recommended! Others are ordinary but reasonably varied. Afternoon tea is great! It is recommended that everyone try their afternoon tea if you have the opportunity! If you want to take a vacation, you can come here~ It takes about 5 minutes to walk to Renyitan near the hotel. The lake and mountains are beautiful, especially the sunset, which is very beautiful!

GGuest UserThis place is overpriced for what it is. It was the most expensive accommodation we have stayed in Taiwan, and by far the worst. Of course you are paying for stunning location in the national park, and apparently all Alishan accommodation is similarly overpriced/run down, however there is no need to charge so much (other than to boost their profits of course). The hotel is dated and run down. Room was dark and dinghy. The bed was so uncomfortable - rock solid mattress and awful pillow. The bathroom was not clean, but hot water was great. WiFi was mostly good. The breakfast looked and smelt so bad they we couldn’t even try it. But we had an amazing time in Alishan and the hotel was perfectly located to base ourselves and get some rest, so don’t expect luxury, but appreciate the convenience.

SStrongzhongThe hotel is in a tourist community next to the visitor center, just a few minutes down the steps. It's also close to the amusement park shuttle bus terminal, the shopping street, and the small train station – the location is absolutely fantastic. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom had a Japanese-style tub. The decor and facilities felt quite old-fashioned. What was unacceptable was that the WiFi on the fifth floor didn't work at all. I could only pick up a signal from the second or third floor, but even then, I couldn't get online. I informed the front desk, but the person who came couldn't fix it either.
