Outstanding
EEmma LeeSGIt is a beautiful stay. Aside from the wrong choice of transport, all are great. From comfort of accomodation, hospitality of the owner and workers to the delicious food and drinks. Advice: take a car to and from the accom or be like us, we took bus and pushed our luggages up the very steep slope on a high altitude, almost killing ourselves! Haa.
AAlice Y. LUIt is the best place we have stayed in our Taiwan trip.My husband and I have enjoyed so much the time while we stay there. It is clean, and well decorated to make it as cozy and warm as possible.we were so relaxed and happy there.
Besides,we were really treated as honorable guests.Miss Wen and her brother are so kind and thoughtful, their breakfast & service is excellent. I strongly recommend it to all
CCyndiscWe had a mixed but memorable stay here. The vibes and decor are lovely, and the restaurant view is truly breathtaking—it’s easily the highlight of the property. Having breakfast and dinner overlooking the mountains was a beautiful experience.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind:
• The Room: Our room was very small and the layout had some design choices that felt like a falling hazard (tripping risks).
• Location: The property is very remote. For foreign tourists, it is quite inconvenient to navigate because the hotel does not offer any shuttle or tour services to help guests explore the area.
• Duration: The food is decent, but because of the size of the rooms and the remote nature, we felt one night was more than enough to enjoy the view and moving on.
FFamily WuThe Indigo hotel is located in the Ryu Tou area of Gongtian Village, Wanglishan, halfway up the mountain road to Alishan National Scenic Area. The hotel's design is very stylish, incorporating elements of Alishan (raw wood, cherry blossoms, green grass) and the Tsou indigenous culture (Formosan blue magpies, wild boars). The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, from the lobby reception to the front desk and restaurant staff. A special shout-out to the young man with glasses by the coffee machine during breakfast on February 15th – his attitude was enthusiastic, polite, and his service was impeccable. Overall, while the design, location, and scenery are all impressive, the service truly left the deepest impression!
DDominiqueNThis was really the best home stay experience we ever had! The owners are super kind. Upon arrival, they warmly welcomed us in and gave us delicious tea, apple, snacks, and their good company. The room itself had amazing views over the mountains, tea plants, and sakura. The room was really big, equipped with a good shower and comfortable beds. We even got a free room upgrade and tasty breakfast with fresh fruits. Next morning we were taken on a tour over the Tea Plantation and the owner told us not only about the process but could give us information on all the other plants like coffee plants, flowers, etc. We really hope we can stay here in the future again.
DDaniel FindlingExcellent hotel, large rooms above expectations, the room was clean(not perfect) and well-equipped, underwent basic cleaning, received water and clean towels every day. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful in everything (including ordering food and recommendations for attractions). Located a few minutes walk from 7 eleven. There is a washing machine in 3 floor and a free parking
VVincentThe hotel is located about an hour's drive up the mountain. On clear days, it's incredibly convenient to watch the sunrise directly from your room. While it may not be the iconic sunrise near Yushan Main Peak (often referred to as the Alishan sunrise), the viewing experience here is still wonderful. The other hotel facilities were standard.
GGuest UserThe name is very grand. From the appearance, you can see how the original owner put a lot of effort into building it. It is beautiful and some of the saunas in the facilities are great! The temperature is sufficient and the water is clean. It's a pity that the steam room is not open, but overall I am very satisfied. There is an outdoor swimming pool for swimming, an indoor gym, a children's playroom, several game consoles, etc. for use. Great!
Have breakfast at Galileo Western Restaurant, the beef soup is super recommended! Others are ordinary but reasonably varied. Afternoon tea is great! It is recommended that everyone try their afternoon tea if you have the opportunity! If you want to take a vacation, you can come here~ It takes about 5 minutes to walk to Renyitan near the hotel. The lake and mountains are beautiful, especially the sunset, which is very beautiful!
GGuest UserThis place is overpriced for what it is. It was the most expensive accommodation we have stayed in Taiwan, and by far the worst. Of course you are paying for stunning location in the national park, and apparently all Alishan accommodation is similarly overpriced/run down, however there is no need to charge so much (other than to boost their profits of course). The hotel is dated and run down. Room was dark and dinghy. The bed was so uncomfortable - rock solid mattress and awful pillow. The bathroom was not clean, but hot water was great. WiFi was mostly good. The breakfast looked and smelt so bad they we couldn’t even try it. But we had an amazing time in Alishan and the hotel was perfectly located to base ourselves and get some rest, so don’t expect luxury, but appreciate the convenience.
SStrongzhongThe hotel is in a tourist community next to the visitor center, just a few minutes down the steps. It's also close to the amusement park shuttle bus terminal, the shopping street, and the small train station – the location is absolutely fantastic. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom had a Japanese-style tub. The decor and facilities felt quite old-fashioned. What was unacceptable was that the WiFi on the fifth floor didn't work at all. I could only pick up a signal from the second or third floor, but even then, I couldn't get online. I informed the front desk, but the person who came couldn't fix it either.
