"To experience the local religious culture, I made a special trip to Shadian, Gejiu, and stayed at the Shadian Hotel (Gejiu High-Speed Rail Station branch). The owner was incredibly welcoming. The room itself was modern and well-equipped, with a lovely mini-bar, comfortable bedding, and was spotlessly clean, spacious, and bright. I especially want to commend the shower head setup; in addition to the fixed bracket above, they also installed one lower down, which is incredibly convenient for washing. This kind of thoughtful detail is very rare and shows how much care the management puts in. The hotel is very close to the mosque, and Shadian Snack Street is also easily accessible, making for a pleasant stroll. The owner recommended Shadian Shicui restaurant, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced, especially the braised beef – it was absolutely delicious and highly recommended!"

"It's pretty good. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and the restaurants downstairs are always crowded. It's a renovated old hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but everything is very clean, the bedding smells nice, and the hot water comes out quickly. There's a long flight of stairs to the entrance, which is a bit inconvenient with luggage. The soundproofing isn't great."

The room was clean and refreshing, the bedding was soft, and I slept peacefully. The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, and there were questions and answers, which made people feel warm. The breakfast was also very good and clean. The overall price is very high, I will choose here next time I come to the old one!"

"As a solo traveller and foreigner, staying at Limu turned out to be the best decision. The place has an incredibly beautiful and modern aesthetic and rooms are on par with some high-end luxury hotels. But that's not why you should stay here, it's the hosts. I was immediately welcomed by the whole family with a warmth and openness that made me feel like I was part of a family. Kindness always finds a way beyond language barriers. They offered me invaluable tips of what to do and see, offered me tea, fruits and snacks and prepared an incredibly delicious traditional Xiào Guó Mi Xian 小锅米线 noodle soup for breakfast. These kind people of Shadian will forever stay in my memory."

"It is nice hotel for a very reasonable price. The check in took a while because the owner is not used to foreign guests but it all worked out. The room was spacious and comfortable and very clean. I missed some hand soap in the bathroom. The only real complaint is that it was pretty loud at night, there are bars under the hotel and I could hear the music and people talking throughout the night. If you're there during the weekday it should be ok."

We can change and dry all the clothes we have worn, and we can set off cleanly the next day. Honghe is also fun, with good natural environments.

This stay was very clean and was in between the station i came from and the mosque. ******* rides around this stay helped me easily access everything. There's one sweet old couple at the reception, they were very kind to me. Felt like home!
