"This hotel in Hsinchu is a bit older, but its location is excellent. It's just a 10-minute walk to the train station or the Chenghuang Temple commercial area. The windowless rooms on lower floors are a great value for money option for business travelers or backpackers. The rooms generally offer a good level of cleanliness and practicality. The service is also quite good, making it a suitable choice for out-of-towners or foreigners who are unfamiliar with Hsinchu."

"I was originally supposed to stay at XinYue in Toufen for four days, but on the second day, when I went back to rest at noon, they charged me, and the room wasn't even cleaned. So I checked out on the second day (and was charged an additional 409 NTD), and moved to Xinyuan in Hsinchu. It was surprisingly satisfying, honestly many times better than the one in Toufen. I highly recommend it here."

"Highlights: ✨ This hotel is incredibly photogenic, especially the Crystal Chapel on the 5th floor. Its pristine glass structure, long white walkway, and the mirror-like pool perfectly reflecting the building's silhouette create a serene atmosphere. It's an absolute must-visit photo spot! ✨ The location is excellent. It's about a 5-minute walk to Big City shopping mall and a 15-minute walk to Chenghuang Temple Night Market. The parking lot is spacious with plenty of spots, making it easy to park. 🛋️ Accommodation Experience: • Mysterious Odor: The most unpleasant part was the inexplicable odor that occasionally emanated from the room or hallway, which was a real drawback. • Bed Comfort: The room's hardware was decent, but the bed and pillows were quite soft and lacked sufficient support. 🍳 Breakfast Performance: • Overall, the breakfast selection was quite rich, featuring ice cream, drinks, and desserts. I particularly recommend the freshly fried sunny-side-up eggs and omelets – they were excellent! Other hot dishes were pretty standard. The room design felt a bit dated, and the power outlets were in rather odd places. Details like chipped wood or tiles at the corners of door sills were noticeable, but this is also reflected in the room rate."

"I always stay here when I visit Hsinchu. The rooms are spacious, and the location is super convenient. It's definitely my top choice! I especially love the blueberry vinegar among the free drinks; besides coffee, they now even have two types of Thai milk tea, which is a great addition! 👍 The breakfast selection isn't huge, but they change it up a bit every day, which is nice and keeps things from getting boring. Right next to the hotel is a very popular vegetarian restaurant. Their soups are packed with ingredients, and the chestnuts in them are incredibly fragrant. Just make sure to check their opening days as they have quite a few days off. But they get a lot of dine-in and takeout orders, and every bowl is cooked fresh, so the owners (I think?) are super busy! 🤣"

"Exceptional Stay at Hotel Royal Hsinchu: A Standout Choice for Business & Leisure My recent visit to Hotel Royal Hsinchu (Hsinchu, Taiwan) exceeded all expectations, with flawless performance across every critical metric for a luxury hotel stay. Here’s a detailed, verified review organized by your requested criteria: Cleanliness (9.4/10) The hotel sets an immaculate standard. Guest rooms—including spacious beds, sleek干湿分离 (wet-dry) bathrooms with smart toilets, and city-view windows—are wiped down thoroughly daily, free of dust, odors, or stains. Public zones (lobby, restaurant, pool, and gym) are continuously maintained; even high-touch surfaces like elevator buttons and doorknobs are sanitized regularly. The entire property is smoke-free, ensuring fresh air throughout, with no musty smells common in older luxury hotels. Location (9.3/10) Perfectly positioned at No.227, Section 1, Guangfu Road, right on the doorstep of Hsinchu Science Park (ideal for business travelers). It’s a short drive to freeway interchanges, Hsinchu High-Speed Rail Station, and downtown shopping/dining districts. The free shuttle service connects guests to the science park, HSR station, and key local spots, eliminating transit hassle.桃园国际机场 (Taoyuan International Airport) is about a 40-minute drive away, while nearby convenience stores, cafes, and local eateries are within walking distance. Service (9.5/10) Attentive, professional, and warm—this team goes above and beyond. The doormen greet you by name after check-in, front desk staff handle requests (room upgrades, late check-out, local tips) quickly and politely, and multilingual support ensures global guests feel at ease. Bellhops assist with luggage promptly, breakfast attendants refill stations proactively, and housekeeping is discrete yet thorough. The staff’s willingness to personalize your stay (e.g., arranging birthday amenities) truly elevates the experience. Amenities (9.0/10) The hotel offers a comprehensive suite of luxury facilities. Guest rooms come with free high-speed Wi-Fi, premium linens, mini-bars, welcome drinks, and in-room safes. The heated outdoor pool and sauna are perfect for unwinding after a long day; the fully equipped fitness center caters to health-focused travelers, and the Royal Beauty Salon provides relaxing massages and treatments. The on-site restaurants serve an impressive breakfast buffet (featuring both international cuisine and authentic ********* specialties) plus refined Chinese, Japanese, and Western dining options. Additional perks include free parking, business center services, family-friendly rooms, and adapter/board game rentals. Final Verdict Hotel Royal Hsinchu is a five-star gem that balances luxury, practicality, and genuine hospitality. Whether you’re visiting Hsinchu for work (especially at the science park) or exploring the city’s culture and food, this hotel delivers an outstanding stay with zero compromises. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely return on my next trip to Hsinchu."

"Pros: Breakfast is perfect, very good combination of western and *********. Location is perfect if you are visiting Jiao Tong University and Tsinghua University. Only a couple of bus stops. Very authentic local restaurants around. Employees are willing to help. Free soda in the fridge, decent gym. Good balcony view in certain rooms. Cons: My room was clean but shower head was loose, although I was able to fix it myself, it made the bathroom a chaos. Shampoo and bodywash are not good considering it's a 4-star. Electronic bidet that cleans you but doesn't dry you out... public baths could be a good place to relax, but it only open 4-10pm, which is not friendly to travellers who only stay for the night."

FFreelaxStayed one night. As it’s a pretty new hotel, the hotel room amenities are very new. We checked in late. Although it’s self check in, the staff is very helpful and very obliging. The room has got shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Personally, I quite fussy but I like their products. They also provide toothbrushes and toothpastes etc. They give 2 bottles of drinking water. They gave humidifier in each room. There is bath tub and standing shower. The hotel is located in the industry area but they are quite near to Hsinchu HSR. If I would travel to Hsinchu, I will stay again.

GGuest UserThe rooms offer a variety of themes, especially the character-themed rooms designed for children, which are very appealing. The reception staff explained everything clearly, and the 안내 (information/guidance) was also very helpful. The environment is incredibly clean and tidy. The coin laundry is a convenient addition. There's a large kids' play area on the first basement floor that the children absolutely loved. The breakfast had a wide selection, was colorful, and delicious. The kids kept saying they wanted to stay again!

Ggrace palenikFor the price I pay, I thought it was excellent. Location: walking for 4 minutes to train station, a near by park and historical government buildings to walk around with very nice scenery by day. The night market by night. I also bought the bkft which was surprisingly great. It is an old building at a historical neighborhood, but the hotel itself was clean, interior was functional, the room was a good size and the bathroom was big with a deep bathtub. Service: nice and friendly Washing machine was a bonus.

師哥坊It's about 50 meters from the train station, with a convenience store downstairs. I parked my car in a designated parking lot across the street, which gives me one free entry and exit per day. The room was small, and the hair dryer seemed broken, producing less wind than my mouth. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, with only half a glass shower area, leaving the floor completely wet after showering. Even with the air conditioner turned down to minimum, it still blew directly onto people in the distance, making it very uncomfortable. For two people on a weekend, the price was 3400, a very poor value. The breakfast was average.

GGuest UserThe place offers good value for money. It's not luxurious, but it's very clean and comfortable. It's a 10 minute walk from NTHU and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. They offer free bottles of water, which was really convenient The place looks just like the pictures. The only problem was the breakfast included advertisement. They only give you a voucher worth 65 NTD, but you need to spend at least 100 NTD in the store (that's what the restaurant told me), and they only accept cash. The restaurant staff were not very friendly to foreigners. It would be better if they advertised it as no breakfast included since you still have to pay to use the voucher

GGuest UserStaying at the Hua Tai Hotel (Hua Tai Classic Business Hotel) in Hsinchu is a bit like stepping back into the 1980s. It’s nostalgic, straightforward, and arguably the best ”bang for your buck” if you want to be right in the heart of the city. Here is a balanced review based on the current 2026 guest experience: The HighlightsPrime Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot for transit. It is a 3-minute walk from the Hsinchu Railway Station and within an 8-minute stroll to the City God Temple Night Market. If you enjoy being where the action is, this is it. Value for Money: For a budget-friendly price (often around $25–$30 USD), you get a surprisingly spacious room. Unlike many modern ”shoebox” hotels, these rooms have plenty of floor space. Breakfast Buffet: Many guests are pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. It’s a local spread—think braised pork rice (Lu Rou Fan), porridge, and stir-fried vegetables—alongside basic toast and coffee. Unexpected Perks: Even the budget rooms often come with a bathtub, which is a rare find at this price point. The hotel also offers free use of a washing machine on the first floor. The ”Old School” RealityVintage Vibes: The hotel is definitely showing its age. You’ll find wooden doors with traditional locks, dated carpets, and some ”dusty” corners. It’s clean where it counts (the sheets and towels), but it doesn’t feel ”modern.”No Central Heating: Like many older buildings in Taiwan, there is usually no heater in the rooms. If you visit during a cold snap in January or February, it can feel a bit chilly inside. Eco-Friendly Policy: As of 2025, they no longer provide disposable amenities (toothbrushes, combs, etc.) due to government regulations, so remember to pack your own! Windowless Rooms: If you book the ”Comfort” or ”Economy” tiers, be aware that many of these rooms do not have windows. The Verdict 7.5/10 — The Practical Traveler’s Choice If you are looking for a ”main character” aesthetic for your TikTok or a luxury spa experience, this isn't the place. However, if you need a safe, quiet, and incredibly convenient base for a night or two while exploring Hsinchu, Hua Tai Hotel is a reliable classic that won't break the bank.
