On the morning of the second day after check-in, I went to a restaurant more than 100 meters away to eat mutton soup. I left my backpack in the store. I drove to Zhangye and found it. I called the boss lady and said that the bag was received, but it would not be sent by express. In a hurry, I contacted the front desk of Jiuquan Hotel where I stayed last night. Miss Wang Xiao who answered the phone was anxious and did not refuse. She went to pick it up for me as soon as she got off work at 12 noon, and contacted SF Express to send it to my home. "It's rare for a hotel stay to make me want to write a review, but this one did! This was my first time visiting Jiayuguan, and I immediately booked the 'Meihao Lizhi' Hotel. As soon as I walked in, the scent in the lobby was so pleasant, not too strong, just the right amount. My room got upgraded, which was a nice surprise! The bed was genuinely huge, and the firmness was just right – my back didn't complain. The pillows weren't flat either. Even though there's a main road outside the window, it wasn't noisy at all with the window closed; the soundproofing is impressive. The air conditioning was also great; it heated up the room comfortably in no time, and didn't blow randomly causing a headache. The front desk staff was very attentive and provided excellent service. She proactively helped with our luggage and upgraded our room. My parents were so happy to see such a spacious room. This has been the best hotel we've stayed at recently. The young lady also reminded me that there's a convenience store downstairs for late-night hunger – a small detail, but it made me feel cared for, and was quite comforting. I'll definitely consider this hotel again next time I'm in Jiayuguan!"

"I've stayed at this Atour Hotel in Jiuquan multiple times. As an Atour member, I've always appreciated the brand's service standards. At other Atour locations I've stayed at, the front desk staff would proactively offer member-exclusive amenities like lumbar pillows and steam eye masks, which made for a great experience. This time, when I asked the front desk if I could have a steam eye mask, the staff member's attitude was very abrupt and cold, telling me that eye masks required payment. Even if there's a charge, I would totally understand and accept it if they explained the policy properly. But her tone was impatient throughout, and there was absolutely no patience in her service, which created a huge discrepancy from my past experiences. As a long-time returning member, I had high expectations for the brand, but the front desk's attitude completely ruined my mood for the entire stay. In the end, I just gave up on getting the eye mask."

"The five stars are for the security guard at the entrance, probably Mr. 42. He smiled and greeted us as soon as he saw our car, and even helped with our luggage. Mr. 41 and Mr. 57 polished our car until it shined – a huge thank you to them! In stark contrast to the security guards, the front desk staff were completely expressionless. It was like ice and fire! Don't five-star hotels offer smile service at the front desk anymore? I booked a deluxe lake view room, which offers a distant glimpse of a corner of the lake in a street-side park. It was a hundred more expensive than a standard room, but I don't really see the difference. The breakfast was quite ordinary, truly not what I'd expect from a five-star hotel."

"After we went to Danxia, we went to see the largest prayer wheel. As a result, we rushed to the hotel too late. The navigation took us to a road G213 that went through the snowy mountains. It snowed heavily on the way. There was nothing on the newly built road. It was snowy, foggy and cold. It was too dangerous. We decisively turned around and went back. It was past 10 o'clock in the middle of the night when we arrived at the hotel. After checking in, the room was good and quiet. The shampoo was very fragrant and I liked it very much."

Out of our 9-day trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Loop, this homestay was our family's absolute favorite. It's a place with real heart and soul, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Even our five-year-old said he'd give this hotel 30 stars! The homestay has a great design aesthetic, and the rooms are spotless, perfectly matching the tastes and ideas of younger travelers. We always bring our own disposable toiletries when we travel, but here, everything was already provided in the room. I also really loved the landlady – she's just one of those people you instantly like, and it was so comfortable interacting with her. From the moment we checked into the homestay in Dunhuang, we had such a positive impression of the city. Even though our stay was brief, it's full of beautiful memories. When we were leaving, she found out my child liked apricots and even gave him some from her own yard, which was incredibly touching. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and it was all very enjoyable. I truly recommend this homestay if you're coming to Dunhuang. I hope everyone gets to experience the genuine warmth and hospitality during their travels here. Their raisins are also highly recommended!

This guesthouse is a hidden gem! 1. The location is super convenient, right at the west gate of Mingsha Mountain, just a 1-minute walk away. It was perfect for playing in the sand and attending the concert. 2. The desert-themed decor and furnishings are incredibly photogenic, and the hotel facilities are brand new, including smart toilets. They even have cute little kittens around! ☺ 3. It has a starry sky theme, and the owner gives amazing stargazing classes. The rooftop terrace is perfect for stargazing, and the owner even has a professional telescope. It's fantastic! 4. The breakfast is homemade by the owner. While simple, it's clean, hygienic, and tastes great. 5. The best part is the owner's service. The whole family is incredibly nice and hospitable. They helped us with our luggage, answered all of my child's astronomy questions, provided airport transfers, and even recommended local itineraries. It's just wonderful!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! My partner kept praising my choice, and I totally agree. Highly, highly recommend! 😄 **Location:** Right by the East Gate of Dunhuang Night Market, super convenient. **Facilities:** It has a classic, antique-style exterior and furnishings, but the rooms are equipped with modern smart technology. I snapped a few photos of the interior – that little chair is my favorite, so incredibly comfortable. **Cleanliness:** Spotless, couldn't find a single fault. Plus, they have self-service laundry machines, which was great for refreshing our gear halfway through our Qinghai-Gansu trip. The breakfast is on the ninth floor, and when the weather isn't too hot, you can even dine outdoors, which is a lovely touch.

This is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at in this price range, bar none. First, I booked two king rooms, and the hotel upgraded our room type. Second, after parking, a young man proactively greeted us, helped with our luggage, and brought it to our room. What's even more impressive is that when we drove again in the evening, we noticed our car's windshield had been covered with a sunshade – and so had all the other cars in the parking lot. When we returned from Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake after a late-night supper, it was already past midnight, and the hotel parking lot was full. The young lady on duty helped move an electric scooter and kept apologizing. Third, after checking out the next day, I went to Mogao Grottoes. The front desk called me to inform me that I had left my headphones behind and reminded me to pick them up. Later, after returning to Lanzhou, I realized I had forgotten a face mask I bought online that had been delivered to the front desk. After contacting the front desk, they proactively added me on WeChat, shared their contact information, and then sent it to my home via JD Express.

On a self-driving tour, I decided to stay here last minute and was pleasantly surprised! As soon as I turned into the parking lot, a staff member came over to guide me. They helped with my luggage every step of the way, and everyone I encountered greeted me proactively. The front desk gave me a sand protection neck gaiter and a voucher for congee in the evening. In the room, there were welcome snacks, yogurt, and plenty of water. They also provided free chargers and a humidifier. There's even a foot bath at the self-service laundry room, with disposable bath bags for hygiene. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, definitely 4-star+! So many varieties, better than many 4.7+ hotels in the city. They also offer shuttle service. I'll definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and the experience was truly excellent in every way. The property is well-maintained, clean, and welcoming, with bright spaces and designer furnishings. The room was spacious, quiet, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay (complimentary Perrier and still water, L’Occitane toiletries, fresh and dried fruits, bathtub). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to respond with a smile and offer helpful advice to make your stay even better. Breakfast was rich, varied, and made with excellent quality products. A note about the free airport/station pick-up service. 10 out of 10!

We upgraded to a tent room, and it was incredibly clean and hygienic. All the toiletries, bath towels, and hand towels were single-use, which was very reassuring. What's truly worth mentioning is the water pressure – the shower was surprisingly powerful, making showering an absolute delight! The water pressure in the city hotels we stayed in the following days couldn't compare to this glamping site. The environment is simply fantastic, offering the quiet solitude of the entire desert. The ATV desert buggy ride takes you to a high peak, which is perfect for amazing photos. Sandboarding was a blast for the kids, and the travel photography captured the beauty of the whole beach without the crowds. Plus, the butler service was excellent – they responded promptly to all our questions and were always available, which was wonderful. Just a heads-up: it can get windy at night, and the tent makes some noise. I was a bit scared at first, but I eventually got used to it. For first-timers, you can sleep soundly; don't worry like I did! 😄

This stay was absolutely delightful! I was initially worried about the location being a bit out of the way, so I only booked one night. To my surprise, getting a taxi on the first night was super easy, so we extended our stay. While there aren't other guesthouses right around ours, we noticed a whole street full of guesthouses nearby, which seemed crowded and noisy. At night, lying in bed, you can hear the wind brushing against the walls, but it's not loud; it actually feels like being in harmony with nature. My husband and I also went gold panning – if you find gold coins, you can exchange them for prizes. We went enthusiastically, expecting a small sandbox like in a park, but it was a massive area! **Mingsha Mountain View Afternoon Tea:** The chilled apricot peel tea was delicious. **Fengmingsha Desert Restaurant - 30% off coupon for set meals:** After we landed, the butler collected our luggage and told us hotpot was ready, just waiting for us to freshen up and eat. The lamb wasn't ***** at all, and the dipping sauce was really tasty.

I loved the Courtyard B&B. The rural but very chic style. My room was generous, furnishing in the same traditional style. Clean throughout The reception area very attractive and provides nice secluded spaces for relaxing- working in my case) under Bamboo trees and mandala decorated glasses of the ceiling. Very peaceful. I very much appreciated the presence of a kittens with mum and a little doggie which I perceived like mascotte of the place. They were very well maintained and cared of. The stuff is very nice and helpful and we were able to understand each others in some way. I highly recommend this accomodation both for holiday and work.

The boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning.
