Guest UserOut of our 9-day trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Loop, this homestay was our family's absolute favorite. It's a place with real heart and soul, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Even our five-year-old said he'd give this hotel 30 stars!
The homestay has a great design aesthetic, and the rooms are spotless, perfectly matching the tastes and ideas of younger travelers. We always bring our own disposable toiletries when we travel, but here, everything was already provided in the room.
I also really loved the landlady â she's just one of those people you instantly like, and it was so comfortable interacting with her. From the moment we checked into the homestay in Dunhuang, we had such a positive impression of the city. Even though our stay was brief, it's full of beautiful memories.
When we were leaving, she found out my child liked apricots and even gave him some from her own yard, which was incredibly touching.
The breakfast offered a wide variety, and it was all very enjoyable.
I truly recommend this homestay if you're coming to Dunhuang. I hope everyone gets to experience the genuine warmth and hospitality during their travels here.
Their raisins are also highly recommended!

This guesthouse is truly unique! Each room is named after one of the twelve zodiac signs, with designs that blend local flair and astrological elements. In the evenings, you can go stargazing, with options for an indoor lecture and actual observation from the rooftop. The instructor mentioned that summer is the best season for stargazing, and if you want to spot your own zodiac constellation, it's best to visit around two months before or after its designated month. They even gave us wishing bottles for our own zodiac signs, which we filled with sand from Mingsha Mountain the next day to take home!
The host is incredibly warm and helpful; you can ask her about local tourism, car rentals, and more â she's very considerate. Breakfast is different every day, with a thoughtful and nutritious selection. There's also an adorable cat who loves to 'accompany' you during meals, often sitting on a chair. She gets so happy if you share half an egg yolk with her every morning! She also recently had three tiny, adorable kittens!
The guesthouse features a classroom and a spacious, bright lobby, making it feel especially suitable for study tour groups. We initially planned to stay two nights but loved it so much we extended for another night. The village atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, and it's about a 15-minute taxi ride to Shazhou Night Market and around 20 minutes to the train station, so transportation is very convenient.
Highly recommend for family trips and educational tours!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! My partner kept praising my choice, and I totally agree. Highly, highly recommend! đ
**Location:** Right by the East Gate of Dunhuang Night Market, super convenient.
**Facilities:** It has a classic, antique-style exterior and furnishings, but the rooms are equipped with modern smart technology. I snapped a few photos of the interior â that little chair is my favorite, so incredibly comfortable.
**Cleanliness:** Spotless, couldn't find a single fault. Plus, they have self-service laundry machines, which was great for refreshing our gear halfway through our Qinghai-Gansu trip. The breakfast is on the ninth floor, and when the weather isn't too hot, you can even dine outdoors, which is a lovely touch.

Lux.EThis was my first stop in China and Iâm so happy that I stayed in Dunhuang at Baibaili Hotel. I was looked after so well, the hospitality of the staff extended many times for several necessities and Iâm touched by their hospitality. This will for a very long time, be my remarkable first impression of China, its people and their culture.
The location is perfect if you want to stay a bit further out from town and enjoy the silence of being closer to the desert and the stunning design of the place.
Beautiful and comfortable room, all the final touches refined every day and after 24 hrs of travelling; a generous fruit and snack plate that grounded me sweetly into Dunhuang upon arrival and farewelled me just after mid-autumn with a beautiful moon cake.
Their communication was frequent and always made sure I had what I needed.
Thank you so much Baibaili

Wow, I didn't realize when I booked, but this is actually a pet-friendly hotel! There's a cat petting room in the lobby, and the lobby manager is a friendly tortoiseshell cat named Zhouzhou. There's also another cat named Laifu, who's the 'money cat' at the front desk and also very gentle and friendly. The hotel facilities are quite new, well-designed, and the service is excellent. The location is super close to Dunhuang Bookstore and the Danghe River Scenic Belt, only about 100 meters away. On the first day of my stay, they gave me yogurt. Breakfast was plentiful, and there's also free congee for a late-night snack. The room has a foot-soaking tub, and the toilet comes with disposable seat covers, which is very hygienic.

We are impressed with the hotel. Whatever we write, it will still be not enough, because it is a real jewel in every aspect. The room was luxuriously furnished and extremely cozy. Inside there is everything you need for a perfect and comfortable stay and rest. Even the smallest details, both functional and aesthetic, have been considered. There were snacks and water in the room as a compliment from the hotel. On the 5th floor there is a self-service laundry room and dryer available to guests. The cleanliness is perfect. The breakfast is rich and has both European and Asian offerings. The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants nearby, and the beautiful central part is also within walking distance. We are grateful to the entire staff for the excellent service and kind attitude. Every single person of the team does his job perfectly well. The only thing we regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy this wonderful place. We wish the entire team health and good luck. Always be so kind and keep this high level service.

XiaojiaoyaWe upgraded to a tent room, and it was incredibly clean and hygienic. All the toiletries, bath towels, and hand towels were single-use, which was very reassuring. What's truly worth mentioning is the water pressure â the shower was surprisingly powerful, making showering an absolute delight! The water pressure in the city hotels we stayed in the following days couldn't compare to this glamping site. The environment is simply fantastic, offering the quiet solitude of the entire desert. The ATV desert buggy ride takes you to a high peak, which is perfect for amazing photos. Sandboarding was a blast for the kids, and the travel photography captured the beauty of the whole beach without the crowds. Plus, the butler service was excellent â they responded promptly to all our questions and were always available, which was wonderful. Just a heads-up: it can get windy at night, and the tent makes some noise. I was a bit scared at first, but I eventually got used to it. For first-timers, you can sleep soundly; don't worry like I did! đ

FaliangwangzhegirlThis stay was absolutely delightful! I was initially worried about the location being a bit out of the way, so I only booked one night. To my surprise, getting a taxi on the first night was super easy, so we extended our stay. While there aren't other guesthouses right around ours, we noticed a whole street full of guesthouses nearby, which seemed crowded and noisy. At night, lying in bed, you can hear the wind brushing against the walls, but it's not loud; it actually feels like being in harmony with nature. My husband and I also went gold panning â if you find gold coins, you can exchange them for prizes. We went enthusiastically, expecting a small sandbox like in a park, but it was a massive area!
**Mingsha Mountain View Afternoon Tea:** The chilled apricot peel tea was delicious.
**Fengmingsha Desert Restaurant - 30% off coupon for set meals:** After we landed, the butler collected our luggage and told us hotpot was ready, just waiting for us to freshen up and eat. The lamb wasn't ***** at all, and the dipping sauce was really tasty.

The boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning. The boss was afraid that it would be inconvenient to go back after the Crescent Lake Music Festival, so he also came to pick us up, making our travel very convenient. The accommodation environment is also very good, and the steamed bun for breakfast is particularly large.
