"The cleanliness of the room is okay. The location is a bit far from the bus stop that can go to Mahgong Main Bus Station. You have to walk to YangMing station around 8-10mins. For those who carry heavy and big luggage, be prepared as the airport shuttle bus will only stop at International Plaza (Fupeng Sheraton Hotel) and you have to carry those luggages to walk around 1km to reach here. This homestay adopts self check in policy. You have to contact the owner to retrieve the info of your room. The phone number display on Trip.com cannot be reached and you have to search on Google to get their phone number. It’s better for you to contact them via Line as they don’t have reception counter. They will never respond on Trip.com so don’t waste your time to contact them via Trip.com."

"The hotel staff are very polite. You can choose breakfast first and the portion is large.
It's just that the sound insulation is a little bit not so good, but in winter there are not many people and it doesn't affect it much. I really like the three-in-one shower, shampoo and face wash provided by the hotel. It feels very smooth after washing!
The uncle on the shuttle bus also provided great service"

It was a very enjoyable stay at the hotel."

"There is no one at the front desk, self-service check-in. Disposable utensils need to be bought downstairs, of course, you can go out to the nearby Quanlian Supermarket to buy durable, the price difference is not too much.
The room is good and cheap, not far from the pier, and there are many foods nearby. Suitable for one person.
The room was close to the elevator. I was worried that there would be sound insulation problems. As a result, no one used the elevator at night and there was no noise."

"My stay at this hotel was good. The staff was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again in the future but future guest must be mindful that the sound insulation in the room is not great so outside noise does come in but it's not very disturbing. Also, it would be nice if the hotel can clean the A/C unit as that in particular had a scent coming from it or use some scented bags to give the room some sweet smelling essence. Overall, I enjoyed the few days I spent here."

"The location is in the city center. It is very convenient for shopping and close to the port. The overall room facilities are very good and clean. It is very convenient to live in a backpacker room with bathroom facilities. This is my favorite point. The service staff is okay. Due to lack of manpower, their faces are a bit smelly and they talk very fast, but the service is good and it's hard work. I will choose this place next time I go to Penghu!"

"I stayed on a Sunday night, and the price was very reasonable. The room was spotlessly clean and featured a comfortable seating area with an armchair. The hotel's location is excellent, being very close to Magong city center. The staff were incredibly informative, and the lobby on the first floor provides welcome snacks and travel guidebooks. A great bonus was being able to store our luggage on check-out day. Overall, this place offers fantastic value for money."

"Our four-day, three-night trip to Penghu included a stay at 89 Inn. The rooms were clean and bright, and the location was very convenient with a laundry, 7-Eleven, and PX Mart downstairs. The landlady was very friendly and helped prepare delicious breakfasts from Magong every day – Zhongji sesame seed cakes, Erxin double-color rice balls, and croissant pork tenderloin were all incredibly tasty! They were also very helpful in handling any requests we made. I will definitely choose 89 Inn again if I have the chance to travel to Penghu in the future. Thank you so much for the thoughtful service these past few days! ❤️"

But it was nice to be close to the beach.
The hostel was very clean and the facilities were very well maintained.
The breakfast menu was delicious, I could choose the day before.
The boss and wife of the hotel did their best for our trip.
He called me a taxi, recommended a restaurant, and he found out the fireworks.
My family wants to travel here for the next peacetime.

GGuest UserReally nice hotel with fabulous amenities. We went in the winter so unfortunately couldn’t use the swimming pool. The kids enjoyed the game room. The gym is in the mall attached to the hotel but you can access it with the room key from the hotel without going to the mall.
I love the eco friendly policy and having reusable bottles instead of plastic bottled water. There are machines to fill up the bottle on each floor.
The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed it very much. We also had a good dinner at the restaurant on the second floor.
The room is spacious and the design of the bathroom is functional and comfortable.
In terms of ovation, it’s not horribly far away from the old street and lots of local food. We walked 20-30 minutes to get to sightseeing places a bit further but there are busses as well if you don’t want to walk.
It’s a perfect place for family with young children. I’d highly recommend it!

CClymene LimThoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sun Palm B&B. Have written this review in English, but we communicated with them in Chinese. We stayed at this B&B during the tourism off-peak season (March).
Service - Amazing. They were very responsive on Line, and quick to reply. They were also helpful with our requests/questions (e.g. fetching service to and fro airport, car rental service, traffic road conditions in Penghu) and were polite. They also gave some advice on what can or cannot be done (e.g. we wanted to cycle around Penghu, but they advised us saying Penghu was too big to travel on a bicycle). The driver was always punctual when picking us up, and when sending us to the airport. In fact, he was already there, with the car ready, minutes before we were supposed to leave for the airport - we didn't even need to remind them. The lady boss was very friendly - when we first arrived, she asked if we were new to Penghu (it was our first time), and she introduced where to explore in Penghu, and what to eat. She also told us that if we wanted to do water activities, we can approach them, and they can make a check with the centres to see if they are open since it was off-peak season for tourist activities. We also had some extra request regarding the check out timing, and she helped us with it too. Before we arrived, they also tested the car we wanted to rent, and upon finding out that it wasn't working as well, they provided us with another car instead - this is certainly good service. They also cleaned up the room upon request, and re-stocked the fridge with drinks.
Food - The breakfast was amazing and fresh (see photos). On the first day we had bread + doughstick + egg with spring onion all in one package. It was delicious. On the second day, we had vermicelli and seafood (e.g. squid, prawns). The seafood was really fresh, and the broth was simple and tasty. Each dish was accompanied by fresh fruits / pastry + drink, which was refreshing.
Room - We got the Starry Honeymoon Room. It was very spacious, the room was clean, the amenities were in good condition, and the overall design was aesthetically pleasing. The heart pillow on the bed was a cute addition, and the round bed was big enough for 2 of us. Above the bed there was a window covered with a retractable screen - you can actually look into the sky while lying on the bed, really interesting.
Location - While this B&B is further away from the main city, we didn't feel that affected as they provided airport transfer services. Also, we felt that it being away from the hustle and bustle from the city was actually advantageous, as the B&B's location had a more relaxed, quiet, holiday vibes, which was what we were looking for. There is a 7-11 around 10 minutes from the B&B, so if you need food etc in the middle of the night, you can get it from there. We rented a car, so travelling to other areas wasn't much of an issue.
Overall, I will recommend this B&B to anyone looking to tour Penghu! Am glad to have chosen this B&B for our first ever trip to Penghu :)

Personal lockers were well-prepared, and best of all, it was very convenient to have showers and bathrooms in every room rather than shared ones.
The staff were friendly and gave great tips on travel and recommended restaurants.
For breakfast, there is a famous Shaobing restaurant (鍾記燒餅) within a 10-minute walk.
Since they don't offer currency exchange, I exchanged my money at the nearby Four Points Hotel using my credit card, paying a 10% fee. Make sure to exchange your money well in advance.
