"Pros:
1. The navigation was spot on, leading us right to the doorstep. Parking was available right in front of the guesthouse on the roadside.
2. The entire guesthouse was incredibly well-designed with a unique and personalized color scheme. We stayed in room 105, and the vibrant green rosemary in front of the white wall and blue door created a stunning visual impact.
3. The guesthouse is designed and run by a designer couple. The husband even participated in a government renovation project for old residences in Xianrendong Village. The wife thoughtfully gave us a key card, suggesting we leave the air conditioning on so the room would be comfortable when we returned – a really nice touch.
4. We were leaving early the next morning and didn't plan on having breakfast, but the wife quickly cooked some eggs and heated up some small steamed buns, packing them for us to eat on the road. So incredibly thoughtful.
5. Our room faced the lake. The weather was a bit overcast during our two-day stay, but it made the view resemble a beautiful ink wash painting. I also loved the flowers and succulents in the courtyard.
6. The guesthouse is very close to Qinglongshan Pier. Gaode navigation pointed us down a very unusual path – a small ditch and field ridge road – but it was incredibly close. I personally walked it and had no problems at all, as we used this path to get to both Qinglongshan and Qinglongshan Pier.
Suggestions:
1. There's no power outlet on the room's desk for heating water; we had to use the one on the bedside table, which was inconvenient. I suggest adding a power strip.
2. The guesthouse's entrance isn't very prominent, so it lacks that initial eye-catching appeal when you arrive.
Overall:
I highly recommend this place to friends! Chatting with the husband and hearing stories about the guesthouse, and meeting the warm-hearted wife, made for a truly special experience."

Choosing Shuiyue Mountain in Puzhehei completely exceeded my expectations.
The 270° lake view is breathtakingly beautiful, right on the shore of Fairy Lake – a true scenic wonder! The rooms have huge floor-to-ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of green mountains, clear waters, and karst peaks – like living inside a landscape painting. The infinity pool seamlessly blends with the lake, creating a stunning ”sky mirror” effect with dreamlike reflections. Watching the sunset paint the mountains and water with vibrant colors makes every shot a masterpiece.
The owner upgraded my room upon arrival. The room was comfortable, with meticulous attention to detail, a simple yet elegant decor, and impeccable cleanliness. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept soundly until the sounds of birdsong filled the air.
A coffee bar and bar are located in the lobby. The toiletries are from top brands, exuding quality. The soundproofing is excellent, making it exceptionally quiet at night. Every corner offers a great spot for photos – the lobby, the terrace, the arched windows – creating a truly immersive atmosphere.
The service was attentive, making me feel right at home. The butler was incredibly welcoming, contacting us in advance, helping with our luggage, and escorting us to our room. They were always there for us, providing thoughtful service like a friend.
The location is super convenient, situated in a small village within the Puzhehei Scenic Area, close to Qinglong Mountain and the filming location of ”Eternal Love.” It's easy to go sightseeing and take boat trips. Parking is plentiful right outside. Renting electric scooters, taking horse-drawn carriages, or exploring the entire village on foot are all fun options.
If you're looking for lake views, beautiful photos, and tranquility in Puzhehei, choose Shuiyue Mountain! The views, environment, service, and comfort are all top-notch—highly recommended!"

"A fantastic stay! The hotel's location is superb, just a 10-minute walk to Lover's Bridge, and right next to the pier, making boating easy. Situated on the shore of Puzhehei Village's lake, the hotel offers views of the lakeside boardwalk right from the windows. The hotel has three floors; the first floor has a restaurant, and the third floor has a viewing platform. The overall design is very stylish, with a light strip in the courtyard, giving it a modern, high-tech feel. I originally booked a standard double room, but the owner upgraded me to a lake-view double room since there were fewer guests. The room was enormous, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony with a view. In the summer, two lounge chairs would be perfect for enjoying the lotus flowers. There was a large bathtub, an automatic toilet, two vanities, disposable towels, and comfortable central air conditioning – everything you could need. Most importantly, the owner was very friendly and easygoing; we had a great time chatting and joking around. I highly recommend this hotel."

"The guesthouse has a fantastic location, within walking distance of Lover's Bridge. The rooms are clean, tidy, and fully equipped, making for a comfortable and worry-free stay. A free washing machine is provided in the courtyard, which is incredibly thoughtful for travelers. The owner is warm, friendly, and responsive to any needs. Overall, the stay was excellent, and the environment was very pleasant, making it a great accommodation choice for visiting Puzhehei. (My phone photos are a bit blurry, but the room is exactly as pictured.) The food on the first floor of the guesthouse is also delicious. The owner was very helpful with luggage, which was especially kind of them."

"Great service from beginning to end. Our host ensured we found the hotel by coming to the main square to get us, upgraded our room, responded quickly to any requests we made, and made sure our stay was as comfortable as it could be during such cold weather. Being right on the water made being lazy a real treat, whether bathing, lounging or sharing tea.
The Xianrendong village is lovely with many different restaurant options, though hot pot was the only choice for such cold nights. Trails are all over the region, but plenty to explore within the village and a 5-10min walk out. Ask the owner about renting an e-scooter to explore further!"

"The room layout was decent, with wooden furniture and a rustic style. The shower and toilet were in separate wet and dry areas, and the hygiene was good. However, the parking lot could use some improvement. For breakfast, each person received a bowl of rice noodles, an egg, and half an ear of corn, which was just enough to avoid waste. It would have been even better with some vegetables. The front desk staff, a young woman, had a great attitude. From the room, you could see the lotus flowers in the lake and Qinglong Mountain in the distance. It's also very conveniently located close to various restaurants on the street."

"Several years ago, I heard that Puzhehei had no chance to come. Fortunately, my friends were also nearby to see them. This time I came to choose a self-driving tour. It was quite good. You can park your car directly at the entrance of the hotel. If you choose to be a train, it is convenient for friends. The high-speed rail station is not far from the hotel. You can choose to take the bus or take a taxi. The weather is not too hot these days, and the lotus is also open. The main price is quite close to the people. When you arrive at the front desk of the hotel, you will arrange a play guide and delicious restaurants nearby, super worry-free. The room was clean and comfortable, and the lobby was quiet and suitable for a daze. In the evening, the room on the roof was uncovered and the photo was super filmed. Suitable for skewers of beer. Right near the lovers bridge, about 30 mins from qinglongshan and 45 from romantic square etc. near lots of restaurants and marts. I really liked the location because I was able to roam about and see a lot. Didi from the train station took about half an hour pretty standard given it is a scenic area away from the main town. The buses there are a bit random so be careful if you are travelling to specific times (or just get a didi)

Well presented. Bed stiff like most beds I have encountered in china, but at least you can spread out. All the amenities you could need TV, air con, hangers, kettle, combs, toothbrushes, and loads of plug sockets aha. WiFi didn't work great for me, but I spent most the day out so that was fine. there was a little bit of noise given the proximity to the town but i think you would experience that at any of the hotels in the surrounding area, so not a problem

At first when we arrived at the hotel, there was no one. We realise the hotel on renovated. We tried to call the hotel owner, it turned out the hotel was really being renovated. we were moved to another hotel. surpricingly, we got more beautiful room, facing the lake, and spacious room. we really liked the quiet, calm and peaceful of puzhehei. the owner was very kind and friendly. even though we couldn't speak mandarin. but the owner still helped us. thank you very much. we really enjoyed our stay

I saw this B&B on Ctrip and it opened in 2019. The rooms are still in great condition. While the smart devices are a bit lacking, you can tell they've put thought into the details, from the bedding to the bathroom. The shower is comfortable with good water pressure, and the wet and dry areas are well-separated with no leaks. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but the backyard faces the lake, making it incredibly quiet. There's even a small patch of canola flowers blooming now. It's perfect for those who appreciate peace and quiet.

I stayed two nights in Puzhehei, choosing a quiet guesthouse amidst the bustling city. The owner was very welcoming, and the guesthouse offered light meals and coffee. The barbecue he recommended was also delicious. The guesthouse room was spacious and comfortable. Opening the curtains revealed Qinglong Mountain right across the street. It's about a six- or seven-minute walk from the pond in front of the guesthouse to the foot of Qinglong Mountain. Electric scooters can also be rented nearby to take you to the guesthouse, which is very convenient. Highly recommended!!

I understand that I booked a homestay online, and I also went to Puzhehei for the first time. The homestay is in the center of Xianrendong Village. It is very lively. It is just to eat, drink and play when you go out. It has everything you need. The clean room and the quiet small courtyard are both quiet and close to the center. It is very convenient. Although the sparrow in the room is small and complete, air conditioning, bathroom, toiletries, and small mosquito-proof tablets are intimately prepared. The proprietress is a tall lady, very enthusiastic and thoughtful, taking us to the streets and alleys, free. Introduced a lot of secrets to avoid stepping on the pit. In short, I was fortunate to find a good homestay and a good boss. The journey was very pleasant!

#Location & Transportation: Located within Puzhehei Village, not far from the village entrance, with plenty of restaurants and guesthouses nearby. #Room Facilities & Decoration: The room has a unique style, but the downsides are limited electrical outlets and poor soundproofing. There's almost no blackout, so the room gets very bright around 7 pm. The room door has a brass lock and key, which is quite retro. #Room View: There are many seats in the corridor outside, perfect for drinking tea, chatting, and enjoying the scenery. The downside is that if people are chatting outside at night, you can hear them in the room, affecting your sleep. Also, because it's close to the outdoors, there are quite a few small insects. #Parking: There are private parking spaces available. Those driving can park and explore at their own pace. The roads within the scenic area are too narrow for driving around. #Service: The owner is very warm and hospitable, offering sightseeing advice. Buying a package ticket for the scenic area from the owner also gets you a discount.

It takes ten minutes to walk from the rice field to Qinglong Mountain (don't drive there, not only can't enter the scenic area, but also spend 15 yuan to park in a very far place, which is particularly pitfall). I listened to the boss's advice and got up at 5:30 to walk to Qinglong Mountain Pier to climb the mountain and see the beautiful sunrise. After watching the sunrise and going down the mountain, I passed by a very beautiful scenery and went back to the hotel to eat hot rice noodles and take a nap. Take a boat trip in the afternoon, and go to Leshui Cave recommended by the boss to watch the sunset in the evening. The Meijia Restaurant he recommended not far from the door is also very good. It is a popular non-net celebrity restaurant, but it is much better than the net celebrity restaurant! Puzhehei Wuyi is a cold scenic spot with few people. Although there are no lotus flowers, there are also beautiful scenery. I climbed Qinglong Mountain twice. It has its own beauty during the day and night. I look forward to coming again when the lotus flowers bloom!

Environment: Excellent. Opening the French windows reveals a lake view, and the hotel interior is also very distinctive. It's not far from attractions; the weather wasn't great when we visited, but renting an electric scooter would be a good option on a sunny day! Dining on the street is also convenient, though many places were undergoing maintenance due to the off-season.
Service: The parking lot is a short walk from the hotel, about 5 minutes. The hotel also arranged for a lovely lady to pick us up, and they were very responsive to our needs. Although breakfast was simple, it was clearly prepared with care!

When traveling with kids, I only have one requirement: to feel ”at home.” This guesthouse made us feel right at home. From booking to check-out, everything was comfortable and relaxing! The kind and gentle landlady gave me detailed directions to the guesthouse in advance (a super detailed and thoughtful version). Even before we entered the scenic area, hotel staff were already waiting for us at our drop-off point, repeatedly making trips to ferry us to the guesthouse. When we arrived at the courtyard, it was a beautiful sight—the first impression was one of relaxation and comfort. Because we had added family members to our group at the last minute, the landlady upgraded us to a family room for free upon arrival [roses][roses][roses], completely solving our problem of needing an extra room. Such a kind landlady! We also got the benefit of early check-in and late check-out (the guesthouse even thoughtfully considered the children's nap time) [hearts][hearts]. The kids loved the fishpond in the courtyard and didn't want to go outside; they just wanted to play in the courtyard. If it weren't for the fact that I'd have to work like a dog, I'd want to bring my whole family and stay here permanently! We even received a souvenir from the landlady, which was incredibly thoughtful. I'm really satisfied with this guesthouse and have to recommend it!! I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Guest UserThough it says 540 meters from the center, it's actually on the edge of the town which is not big anyway. It's a family run business friendly but will benefit from an improved organisation. The owner seems to be in a role overseeing a couple of local services and uses it to his advantage. Be aware of the promises and delivery.
The ticket to the river cruise and water fight is not transparent. While it costs 218 CNY at the ticket office, the owner can get it as low as 190CNY. On the next day he said the price was only possible without a paper ticket. We got in all the entrances but were stopped and questioned till he intervened. It didn't feel great to be involved in this unexplicit and shady handling.
Puzhehei is rich in resources. Nevertheless with such a mentality of those in charge and untranspatent practices, it's a mixed bag of experiences.
It's paramount to improve transparency and accountability should it continue wanting to attract more tourists. Most people are very friendly except some for working in the scenic areas, they looked so bothered when asked by tourists for help.
