"Taishan isn't a very large city, and the hotel is conveniently located in the southern part of the downtown area, making it easy to get in and out by car. There's plenty of parking available.
The hotel is situated within a Country Garden development, and the exterior still bears traces of the Country Garden Phoenix logo. I assume it was originally an amenity of the Country Garden complex, later outsourced or leased to the current owners.
At first glance, the hotel facilities don't seem old, but after using them, I felt the maintenance wasn't quite up to par. For example, the electric curtains in the room couldn't be controlled, and the water pressure in the bathroom and toilet was relatively low. During my stay, there was also a noticeable odor emanating from the first-floor lobby restroom, indicating it needed repairs. Housekeeping also forgot to replenish toiletries and left a cleaning towel in the room – quite a few minor issues overall.
Of course, the price during the off-season was very reasonable, about half of the original cost, offering good value for money."

The Jingnian Hotel is one of the newest hotels in Taishan, having been renovated in 2023. The hotel is only 8km from Taishan Railway Station and 65km from Zhuhai Jinwan Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Taishan Historical and Cultural District, Nichang Park and Niushan Park all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling on business.
"The hotel is easy to find, and there are many underground parking lots, which are quite convenient. Although the room is close to the road, you can hardly hear the sound of cars on the 5th floor. The environment of the room is good, clean and tidy. But what is incomprehensible is why I booked a parent-child room, but the room is actually smoking and equipped with an ashtray. Fortunately, there is no smell of smoke in the room. The details page also marked that there are play facilities (children's tents, children's toys) and children's products (children's bath towels, children's face towels, children's slippers, children's toiletries), but after I checked in, I could only see two sets of adult things. I called the front desk to ask if there were children's toiletries, etc., and the front desk replied that they were not available. Finally, when I checked out, I asked the front desk and they said that there were only two parent-child theme rooms. If you need them, please make a note. The one I booked only has a bunk bed. The laundry room has a pulsator washing machine and a drum washing machine, as well as a dryer, which can be used at any time, and laundry detergent and softener are also provided. There is a supermarket on the first floor of the hotel and a restaurant on the third floor, which is very convenient for buying and eating. There is also a Qiaoxing breakfast shop nearby, and the food is not bad. The hotel is generally good, and the price of more than 400 is not expensive during the 5.1 period."

However, the rooms are indeed somewhat outdated, as is typical of an older hotel that opened in 2009; the facilities are of average quality, and the occasional noise from the karaoke bar downstairs at night is a bit bothersome. The lake-view rooms, however, were a pleasant surprise, offering a panoramic view of the lake right from the window, which somewhat compensated for the aging facilities. The cleanliness was adequate, and basic services were provided. If you have a limited budget and value location and views, this hotel is worth considering; however, if you're looking for newer facilities and a tranquil environment, you might want to reconsider."

"My room was on the 16th floor. The window faced the cooling towers of the surrounding buildings, and the noise and vibration at night were incredibly loud! With the window closed, it was still over 40 decibels, and with it open, it was another 10+ decibels. It was really hard to sleep at night!!!
The hotel and several malls share only 3 elevators. This was very inconvenient, especially during peak hours.
They provided plenty of bottled water for drinking.
When checking in to the hotel, it was around 2:35 PM, which was a busy time. The wait was quite long; it took at least 20 minutes to get the room card.
The room space was very small; I don't think it was as large as described.
Parking was only on Basement 1, and the parking lot was huge. It shared spaces with the mall, and combined with it being a weekend and offering 4 hours of free parking, there were a lot of cars. I also saw some minor fender benders when cars were exiting.
What I was quite satisfied with was the mattress; it was very comfortable.
The public areas were quite comfortable.
The breakfast and afternoon tea area had a pleasant environment, a wide variety of options, and good quality food. There was a fully automatic freshly ground coffee machine.
The main advantage is its proximity to the mall, making shopping and dining convenient.
You can add the hotel on WeChat for communication, and the service was generally satisfactory.
We booked a total of 1 twin room and 4 king rooms."

"I stayed here before the Mid-Autumn Festival, and now I’m sending you my review. I’ll comment immediately after the experience: The room is quite big, there is no peculiar smell, and the hygiene is very clean. The shower gel smells very fragrant, and it’s the scent of Bvlgari white tea. There is conditioner, so you don’t have to worry about your hair getting tangled after washing your hair in the hotel. The attitude of the front desk is also very good, and they are very patient in giving directions to places to visit. I recommend everyone to stay here!

"The hotel is quite new, and the room layout was good. A sofa would have made it even better. I appreciated the thoughtful touch of 4 complimentary bottles of water in the twin room, plus drip coffee and some small, surprisingly tasty biscuits. The downstairs parking lot was also very convenient."

GGuest UserClean and tidy, very style in the Republic of China. The hotel retains the original functional foundation of the school. It uses a small part of the classroom to be converted into a house, so there are many places to take pictures. The facilities in the room and bathroom are not very advanced but enough. The family rooms are made into small attic.

The location is super convenient, right next to the landmark lakes and garden, plenty of yummy local food, bakery and convenience stores outside the hotel. Easy to book a DiDi and within 10-15 minutes you will arrives at a few main shopping centres, coffee shops and more restaurants. The room is big and spacious. The cleaning staff takes good care in cleaning the rooms and the staff at reception are super friendly. The hotel also provides free of charge washing machine and dryer. We had extended our stay 4 times in this hotel during our trip. Highly recommended.

My sister stayed here many years ago in 2018 & recommended this place for myself & my cousins so that we can visit our family village which was 29 minutes away. We had an entire room for our shower & love the private bathroom! The front desk went out of our way to assist. The breakfast was plentiful & amazing!
Unfortunately I was sick in bed for 2 days, & the house maid quietly came in & emptied our 2 garbage cans & left us fresh towels while I was laying in bed. She may have cleaned our toilet also.
I already have recommended this place to my friends .

GGuest UserEverything about your hotel was excellent, but my check-out experience yesterday left me utterly displeased! I had explicitly arranged for a late check-out until 3:00 PM as one of my entitled benefits. Yet, around 1 PM, a front desk attendant called to inquire if I wished to extend my stay. I informed her that I wouldn't be extending and would be checking out. I proceeded to check out at 2:03 PM and departed. What truly shocked me was that while I was waiting for the elevator, I distinctly overheard your front desk attendant, seemingly unaware I was still within earshot, mocking me in a local dialect with a colleague. Her exact words were, 'Looks like she's got boiling water under her feet, doesn't she?' This incident makes me seriously question whether your staff management truly instills professional etiquette. Do your employees show basic respect to ordinary guests? Is there a fundamental lack of moral education? If the answer to all these questions is negative, then perhaps it's time for a serious re-evaluation of your staff's positions and a thorough adjustment of their roles.

GGuest UserChoosing this hotel for my trip to Taishan was definitely the right decision! The location is super convenient, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were complete. The bedding was so comfortable. The front desk lady was super-efficient with the check-in and her service was warm and thoughtful. It's really great value for money. Plus, there's a large shopping mall right next door and free parking – just show your parking ticket at the front desk when you leave. My stay here was incredibly pleasant!

GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at the Manley Hotel during my visit to Taishan. The service was excellent—staff were attentive, helpful, and made the experience feel welcoming from check-in to check-out.
The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options just steps away. Even if you need to head into downtown Taishan, taxis are easy to find and very affordable, making it simple to get around the city.
The breakfast offered at the hotel was great, though it’s worth noting that it’s entirely Chinese cuisine—something I personally enjoyed, especially for an authentic local experience.
The downside was the laundry dryer— There was only one dryer for 3 washing machines, it didn’t work very efficiently and took about six hours to dry a single load, which was a bit frustrating.
The Wi-Fi was also very unreliable, it would connect and then drop constantly. Even when it would work, the speeds would fluctuate.
Overall, I’d recommend the Manley Hotel for its excellent service, local charm, and convenient location.

AAnonymous UserFacilities: Very complete. Just bring your own food, seasonings, disposable bowls and chopsticks. Staying in the villa allows you to make delicious meals like at home. It also has its own yard for barbecue.
Hygiene: Generally OK. But the bedding is a bit old
Environment: Quiet surroundings. Convenient parking. We had 5 cars parked at the door of the villa without any problems. It was convenient to pack up. The children loved the swimming pool and slide the most. They had a lot of fun.
Service: Butler Ajun was enthusiastic and responsive.

TTiChattonThe location was very convenient, right off the highway and by a big shopping mall with a cinema and restaurants. There's also an EE bus to and from Hong Kong for added convenience that departs from this mall. The room is clean, the bathtub is for photo only - non-functional. Despite the construction noise sign, I got a room on floor 6 and barely heard the construction. I enjoyed my stay here, the room was cleaned everyday and amenities topped up. Washing detergent is provided and the washing machine is great! Could provide clothing clips in addition to the hangers to dry smaller garments like socks and underwear. Very nice and large projector TV screen.
