"It might have been due to the May Day holiday rush, but the hotel's cleanliness wasn't up to par. There were leftover food stains on the table right inside the entrance. However, after contacting the front desk, they promptly arranged for cleaning and even offered two complimentary breakfasts, which was a very timely solution. The location is excellent, very close to Pang Dong Lai Angel City store. The parking lot is connected, which is a great convenience. When we left Pang Dong Lai, the hotel helped us input our license plate number so we didn't have to pay any additional parking fees."

"The hotel boasts a prime location, conveniently situated next to Qiyi Road with easy access. Parking is right inside the compound, and it's just a few minutes' walk from Pangdonglai Times Square and the ancient capital of Cao Wei.
Especially the member price of 151 yuan for a deluxe king-size room (30 square meters) is an absolute steal!
The room was clean and tidy, with a separate shower and toilet, a smart toilet, and disposable toilet seat covers. The washbasin was separate from the bathroom, and disposable towels, makeup remover, hand cream, and hand soap were all provided.
A sofa, a desk, a huge TV screen, and complimentary late-night snacks were also included. Excellent! It made up for the disappointment of leaving Pangdonglai Angel City empty-handed and added a lot to my trip to Xuchang."

"Perhaps because we booked a cheaper room, I didn't find it to be particularly great. It's basically a standard hotel room with an added balcony, and they list all the usual free amenities and rental items. The service attitude was alright, but personally, I think it's still a step below the older Rebecca hotel. Also, it's quite far from the city center, which isn't very convenient. However, one thing worth mentioning about hotels in Xuchang is that unlike other cities where they stingily give you only two or four bottles of mineral water, I've never encountered that in any hotel in Xuchang. They seem to worry you won't have enough to drink, which makes guests feel more comfortable."

The front desk service was also great; check-in was quick, and the staff were enthusiastic and polite. They even proactively informed us about important check-in details, which felt very thorough. Check-out was smooth as well, no delays. The room itself was better than expected; it was very clean, and the amenities were quite complete. "We were visiting Wanfo Mountain in Kaifeng and decided to stop by Xuchang on our way home to check out Pang Dong Lai. We picked this hotel last minute and checked in around 1 AM. The front desk staff member was very handsome and provided excellent service. My kids love mahjong, so we chose the mahjong room. The room was incredibly clean, and the mahjong area was separate from the sleeping area, which made the space feel huge. It's honestly the most spacious room I've ever seen! They even provided 8 bottles of mineral water. As soon as I entered, I checked the sheets and duvet covers – they felt luxurious, and we had a great night's sleep. The next morning, we headed to Pang Dong Lai, and the staff even told us about a shortcut that's only a 10-minute walk away. Early in the morning, the security guard had already washed the dust off our car. Honestly, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Considering the price, room facilities, and overall service, this is by far the best value for money we've ever experienced as a family traveling. If we get the chance to visit again, we'll definitely stay here. Highly recommend!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 8 days, and the location is excellent and very convenient, with many shops just a short walk away.
The staff service was wonderful, especially the room service staff, “鸽姐”Her ever-smiling face made us feel truly at home. Every day when we returned to our room, we would find two hot drinks on the table along with a small handwritten note. Sometimes, she would even leave a message to let me know that she had helped wash my socks after noticing them on the floor. These thoughtful gestures really touched me and made me feel warm and cared for.
Another staff member, Mr. Wang Shuaiju (王帅举), welcomed us when we first arrived and also saw us off when we left. He was friendly and attentive, even reminding us to grab a hot drink before heading back to our room.
Overall, I felt very pleased and grateful for the excellent service throughout our stay."

Also, for that type and size of hotel, it would be great that they have something for relaxation and training - either gym, or SPA, or pool, etc. Everything else was great and I could see that they were giving their best to make my stay pleasant."

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I am currently visiting and do not speak a word of Chinese, which can usually make things stressful—but the team here made everything seamless.
We had to communicate entirely through a translator app, and the staff couldn't have been more patient or kind. I ran into a bit of a crisis where I needed same-day dry cleaning, and the reception team jumped into action immediately. They handled the situation with such grace and efficiency, ensuring my clothes were ready right when I needed them.
Why this hotel stands out:
• The Reception Team: All the girls at the front desk are absolute gems. They are professional, lovely, and never made me feel like my language barrier was a burden.
• True Hospitality: I felt welcomed from the second I arrived. Even the security guard at the entrance was incredibly friendly and helpful!

The bedding was soft, made of raw cotton, and the mattress was perfectly firm. It came with two different types of pillows, making it incredibly comfortable to fall asleep immediately after a long night's travel. The hot water in the bathroom was consistent, the smart toilet was very convenient, and the soundproofing throughout the house was superb – I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway at all, even as a light sleeper like myself, I slept soundly. The most delightful feature was the window design; opening the curtains in the morning revealed a beautiful street view, and the bright, natural light was perfect for taking photos.

The hotel is fairly close to the popular Pang Donglai restaurant, about a 15-minute walk.
The rooms are very spacious, and the receptionist even upgraded us to a room with a bathtub for free – fantastic! Staying in the top-floor view room offered a panoramic vista of the surrounding mountains.

From the welcome at the front desk to the parking lot, everything is in place, very friendly, and the hardware configuration is also very comprehensive. Breakfast was not included when booking, but the front desk took the initiative to give it to me and said that breakfast was 29 yuan per person. I didn't expect much at first, but unexpectedly the breakfast was very rich! I really stayed at a treasure hotel. I couldn’t help but ask the lady at the front desk if the hotel had anything to do with Fat Donglai. The experience of staying here is very satisfactory! The room is more spacious and bright than expected, the decoration style is simple and modern, it looks very new and clean. The floor-to-ceiling windows have a great view overlooking the city street. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and a good night's sleep. The bathroom is well separated from wet and dry, and the hot water is fast and stable.
The details are also very intimate: a variety of charging ports are provided, a small refrigerator is full of drinks, and free tea bags and coffee. The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, and the check-in and check-out procedures were fast. In general very nice hotel. Friendly staff besides no one could speak in English fluently (but they were very proactive and experts using translation apps and AI). Anyway, not so many foreigners in Xuchang. Cleaning is very good, they give you water and tea everyday. Breakfast is a lot of food, mostly Chinese but also eggs, omelette, bread and sausage. My negative feedback is that coffee there was not good, I think the machine and the grains are not ideal. In general very worthy the price but I believe the gym could be improved with one or two benches and maybe some essential machinery. The rest let me very satisfied and I even prolonged my stay. Staff is very happy what gives you a nice vibe!

Paranoid1108Heweigui Hotel is absolutely fantastic! The room was clean, spacious, and completely odor-free, making for a really comfortable stay. They have an underground parking lot, and it was free upon check-out, which was a huge plus. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful. Overall, a perfect experience!
