"I had a wonderful stay at Loccal Collection Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The check-in process was smooth, and the hospitality throughout my stay made me feel right at home. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the room amenities and housekeeping. The hotel’s location is also a great advantage, making it convenient to explore nearby attractions while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall ambience was stylish and relaxing. What stood out the most was the excellent service from the entire team. "The hotel's private beach is definitely the biggest highlight! The views are truly beautiful. The front desk staff and the bellboy were all very polite, enthusiastic, and proactive in offering help. I arrived early, and they assigned me a room with a great sea view, which I really appreciated. However, the restaurant was a major letdown. The breakfast wasn't good, and the service staff were unfriendly and completely lacked any service awareness; they even seemed to be just going through the motions with sour expressions. Dining there made me realize that service really needs to be learned, and that hospitality management is indeed a necessary profession. As for cleanliness, the facilities are a bit old but relatively clean. The towels were definitely worn. Overall, it's a place that will attract visitors primarily because of its beach."

"The beach right by the sea is a huge plus! The sand is so fine and soft underfoot, and the clear water near the shore lets you spot little fish. The open views around are amazing, making sunset especially beautiful. You could easily spend a whole day here and never get bored."

"First off, I want to say that the hotel staff and front desk were all incredibly friendly and helpful. A big shout-out to their breakfast take-away service, which is a lifesaver for anyone planning a day trip out to sea! If you know you won't have time for breakfast, you can arrange the take-away service with the front desk in advance. The hotel's breakfast runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, but most day tours to sea leave around 6 AM. I've attached the take-away menu for reference. The hotel itself is very new and super close to the airport, about a 10-minute walk. They also offer airport shuttle service, but remember to email them in advance to book your pick-up. Just a heads-up, avoid emailing on weekends – I did, and the hotel missed my email, so I ended up dragging my heavy suitcase to the hotel, which was a real drag. Also, the rooms don't have openable windows; they have sealed glass floor-to-ceiling windows. This means no smoking in the room, and ventilation isn't the best. Since it's a new hotel, there's still a slight 'new hotel smell,' so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to that. However, since I was usually out at sea all day and only in the room at night, I wasn't really 'holed up' in the hotel, so it was perfectly acceptable. I was just happy that everything was new and clean, haha!"

"So happy I stumbled upon this hotel because my usual go-to in LB was fully booked! Great value for money, I especially love how quiet the area is. Yes, there's currently construction, but they were honest enough to post a notification about it, so I came prepared - they don't start very early (probably 8-9, when you have ti get up for breakfast anyway), loudest was early afternoon, and late afternoon/evening was just a few hammer bangs. Hillview rooms are much more affected than seaview. Bed is comfortable, room clean, staff amazingly welcoming and helpful. Airport shuttle pickup went smoothly and matched the flight even though it was sadly delayed. There's a Mandiri ATM just outside the gate, and it's very easy to get to town by scooter or even walking. Breakfast has lots of local food options, some fruit, egg station, and toast/pastries, and packed breakfast to-go can be requested from very early morning. Already looking forward to my next stay!"

"This hotel is probably the best value-for-money and has the best views in downtown Coron. The rooms are quite ordinary, but they have everything you need, and the bed is comfortable. However, once you get to the outdoor pool deck on the fifth floor, you'll instantly feel like the value is incredible. Then, having breakfast at the 360-degree panoramic view restaurant on the rooftop, wow, you can't help but exclaim what an amazing hotel this is! For just over 300 pesos a night, you wouldn't even dare to dream of such a deal back home! Enough talk, just look at my photos! The pool bar is a highlight, where you can enjoy various exquisite drinks and cocktails directly in the pool, facing the beautiful night view of Coron's harbor. The view restaurant not only offers unbeatable views but also a very rich breakfast. In short, I've found a hidden gem. I originally only planned to stay one night to rest, but I unexpectedly fell in love with this place. The only minor dissatisfaction was the front desk staff's somewhat stiff attitude. They explained things clearly, but were a bit rigid, and they charged a 200k fee for a child even without an extra bed, but that's a minor issue."

"Aside from the hot water not being very convenient, everything else was great (it took about 20 minutes for two people to shower). The air conditioning, beds, and environment were all decent, and it only cost a little over 300 yuan per person (we were a group of four). It was also very quiet. Highly recommended!!! There weren't many reviews on Airbnb and Ctrip, so I was quite worried before going, but I was pleasantly surprised, hahaha."

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, just about a ten-minute drive from the airport, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The room design allows you to enjoy the ocean view right from your bed, and the water is incredibly clear – you can even spot fish swimming from the 10th-floor balcony. We had two bookings, totaling five days and four nights here, and every moment, from the first light of dawn to bright sunshine, from dusk to a sky full of stars, we were mesmerized by the stunning beauty. 🥰🥰🥰 The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. They'd greet me in the hallways, and the staff at the entrance and in the restaurant would chat with me daily, asking if I'd rested well and what my plans for the day were, which I found particularly heartwarming. As a solo female traveler, safety is paramount, and I truly felt like they genuinely cared about me, always ready to welcome me back, which made me feel very secure when I went out. The two restaurants on the hotel's 2nd and 8th floors offered almost all common dishes, and they were both healthy and delicious. I didn't eat out at all during my five days there. I especially want to mention the 'Six Views in One Day' tour. I really dislike joining tours with fellow countrymen, as I believe traveling is about meeting interesting people and experiencing interesting things from all over the world. So, I didn't book through the popular apps we usually use. Instead, I emailed the hotel in advance and booked their 'Black Swan Adventure'. There were 11 of us in total: a Norwegian couple, an Australian couple, a French family of three, three sisters from Asia, and then me, the lone 11th person! 😄😄😄 I had a wonderful chat with the guide, and I'm especially grateful to him for taking so many fantastic photos for me. ❤️❤️❤️ And the staff member who guided me with a swim ring – with my limited swimming skills, I would definitely have been swept away by the waves if I'd tried to paddle alone. He even used my phone to dive to the bottom and take photos of a sea turtle. At the end of the trip, someone mentioned wanting to Airdrop, but there were many videos (which might have been pressed out by water pressure through the waterproof bag), and the one I opened, thinking it was it, turned out to be nothing. So I'll just include it in this review, in case they see it. Overall, it was a very nice and unforgettable trip! If I ever get the chance to visit Komodo again, I will definitely choose Katamaran! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻"

"The location is fantastic, right next to the pier, making it super convenient for island hopping. The rooms are clean and tidy, and all the staff are young, friendly, and very attentive. I highly recommend the sea view rooms – the large balcony offers breathtaking ocean sunsets. The rooftop restaurant serves delicious food with stunning panoramic views of the pier and surrounding mountains. Dining there at sunset creates an amazing atmosphere! I accidentally left cash behind when checking out, and the hotel proactively helped me wire it back. Their integrity and service are both top-notch. This is my top choice for a trip to Komodo!"
