"We had a wonderful stay at Kussharo Prince Hotel in Hokkaido. The room was spacious, comfortable, and provided plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. The buffet dinner was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious dishes and something to suit every taste. It was one of the highlights of our stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the onsen, which was clean, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. It was the perfect way to unwind while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Overall, Kussharo Prince Hotel offers comfortable accommodations, great dining, and a wonderful onsen experience. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake Kussharo area."

"The house design is beautiful, but the location is a bit far unless you have a car. The guesthouse serves food, and you can mingle with other guests. You can also play with the cats, though be careful with the three-legged one. The room is clean and comfortable."

"My 2-day stay at Kawayu Kanko hotel was very pleasant. While the rooms may look tired, they are spacious and functional (I could do my taiqi exercise in my room!). 3 things I like most about the stay: the staff I interacted with, the onsen and the dinner. Ms Yuka at the front desk spoke perfect English and she gave me the most useful ideas about where to eat and where to go. Thanks to her, I got to learn about the Teshikaga Eco-Passport and got to visit Lake Kussharo (Sunayu area), Lake Mashu and Mt Io by bus, all in one day. Her boss, Mr Nakajima was a very friendly gentleman. Language did not deter him as he patiently gave me a lesson (using his phone translator) about the geographics and the creation of the Kawayu Onsen area. Secondly, the onsen was great. The temperature was just right for me and the mineral refreshed my body instantly. I was told the hot spring water in the hotel came directly from a source that is only a few kilometers away. Lastly, the kaiseki dinner was great. The spread was generous. On a freezing winter day, the 2 personal hotpots greatly filled up and warmed my body. I will definitely return to the hotel."

"The traditional homestay seems to be a few years old. It is very close to the station and has a lot of guests. It looks like three or four kilometers away from Sulphur Mountain. "It has a location we needed to enjoy the nearby national parks. Inside is actually not clean, even when you want to get some coffee there is spider web and etc. Beds are super hard, so if you are not into it, better choose a different option. I had a great sleep here. Onsen is not working anymore and only shower available, itself a pity. But seems like an owner is just lazy about it. It doesn’t matter, but it was sad that not even one towel is provided, only to rent it. The owner is very polite and positive, he was nice and we had no problem with check in or checkout, a lot of parking space."

There is a faint sulfur smell, no pungent, and the full body will be relaxed and comfortable. The laundry fee is very Buddhist. The proprietress is very considerate of the passengers. The price charged is really cheap. The clothes are still drying to the hot level. I am still very touched in retrospect. The house is really historical, it is quite loud when walking, but the sound of the corridor is basically not heard in the room, so the impact is not big, you can experience the Showa style, before moving in, I was still a little worried about the cleanliness, but after I checked in, I found that the whole house was cleaned. "Treasure B&B! highly recommended! First of all, the homestay itself is not simple, but very clean and warm. The homestay is run by a Japanese couple in their 60s who live on the first floor and the guests live on the second floor. The homestay provides free breakfast and dinner. After dinner, there is a tea party. Everyone gathers to chat and drink tea and snacks. I am very happy! The homestay is a 5-minute walk from Chuantang JR Station. If you have luggage, contact the owner in advance, and the owner will drive to pick you up. Note that the check-in time of the homestay is 4-6 in the afternoon, and the check-out time in the morning is 6-9! ! Every night, wild foxes come to the door of the homestay to find food! There is no toilet in the room, the toilet is on the first floor. Note that please don't speak loudly. I will definitely go again, and my wife is really happy to live there."
