Saitama City Hotels with Wifi

"Couldn't book a hotel in Saitama-Shintoshin, so this one, just one station away, was a great alternative. It has everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment. The room was spacious, and I really enjoyed the sofa by the window; it was very comfortable."

"This hotel was a fantastic find! The large public bath on the second floor was super convenient, making it unnecessary to shower in the room and keeping the room dry. A 14.8 sqm room was perfectly adequate for one person. All rooms face south, so the futons get sun exposure daily, and you can open the windows for ventilation, which is a big plus. The mini-fridge has an on/off switch, so you can turn it off to reduce noise and energy consumption if you don't need it. The room was brand new and odor-free. If you don't leave your room before 10 AM, they won't clean it that day, but you can leave your trash bin outside your door for staff to empty. No water is provided in the room, but there's a Lawson and 7-Eleven within 10 meters downstairs. On the first floor, you can self-service toiletries, tea bags, and ice cream bars. Electric bicycles are available for rent at the entrance. Getting to Tokyo and Shinjuku is easy, but make sure to take the rapid or limited express trains on the subway, as the local trains that stop at every station can be a bit of a drag. For 390, the room rate includes breakfast and two hot spring baths a day. It's less than a 10-minute walk from Omiya Station. The east exit has Takashimaya, while the west exit has Sogo and 0101 (with a large Montbell on the first floor where you can get tax refunds). There are also plenty of dining options nearby. Windsor Racket is about 10 meters to the left in front of the hotel, though they don't have many new arrivals. Inside the station, you'll find Lumine and Lumine 2, which includes Beams. Isomaru Suisan is just 50 meters outside the west exit of the station. Omiya is also a Shinkansen station, making it very convenient to go north to Karuizawa. It only took about an hour from the hotel to the Karuizawa Outlet. The station itself is huge and often sells delicious and reasonably priced local strawberries, tomatoes, and apples. There's also a branch of the famous Sembikiya strawberry cream sandwich shop inside the station. The hotel's breakfast was incredibly rich and satisfying, mainly Japanese-style with plenty of soups and dishes. The value for money is exceptional. They also offer unlimited free takeaway coffee every day. I feel like this is the most cost-effective hotel I've stayed at in Japan. Staying for a full week costs about the same as one night in the city. It's an absolute steal!"

"The most important thing to remember about the Mark Grand is that Google Maps will show two Mark Grand hotels and one of them is wrong. Make sure that you find the correct address. The Mark Grand is a renamed and arguably improved upscale hotel in Saitama. It's a few train stops from Ueno and there's more than one way to get there depending if you're coming from say Shinjuku or Ueno. The rooms are immaculate with drip coffee, a humidifier, and you are given the option to have your room cleaned on specific days (not every day). JP customer service, as always, is excellent and although the breakfast buffet doesn't change, the options are more than enough to keep your palate satisfied for a week's stay. There's a Lawson at the second floor and an excellent gym, pool, and spa (not really an onsen). Unfortunately, the sports center isn't free and you have to pay a small fee (1200 yen) to use it but it's more than worth it. It's extremely popular with the older locals and make sure you visit in less busy times. There is a Cocoon mall nearby which is not busy and since the hotel is located in the CBD, you only come across salarymen rather than the annoying Western tourists. I also highly recommend the Railway Museum in Saitama, which is a short 2 stops away. If you're familiar with JP trains and don't mind the short commute, I highly recommend the hotel."

"I stayed here while on a business trip. The location is great, close to the station and has restaurants and convenience stores. The front desk staff explained everything to me carefully, so I was able to stay there with peace of mind. Please note that the amenities are located next to the front desk and not in the rooms. The single room felt small, but was sufficient for a night's stay without meals."

"The location is great, especially for accessing Shinsadong. Considering Shinsadong is generally a bit off the beaten path, this location is actually quite good. The welcome drink, however, was disappointing and its availability seemed inconsistent. As for the complimentary amenities offered at the entrance, I felt some staff members gave me judgmental looks, making me feel watched – as if I was taking too many. This was strange because I only took one per day, or sometimes none at all, yet I still had this odd feeling of being monitored. On a more positive note, housekeeping was incredibly quiet, which was perfect for relaxing even if I slept in late. I enjoyed the train view from my room (though I understand not all rooms have this). Overall, most of the staff were friendly. The bathtub was small, but the water quality was excellent."

"Compared to Omiya Ward: It's like Tainan, with its convenient transportation; Taipei's cleaner and quieter East District; Nangang, more suitable for living; or Taoyuan, a pedestrian paradise. Avoiding tourist hotspots and minimizing friction with other tourists, while still offering amenities, convenient transportation, shopping options, and a quiet night, Omiya Ward in Saitama New City is a perfect solo travel destination. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of everything, and the friendly service is a huge plus, making it a very comfortable semi-residential suburb centered around the hotel. If you, like me, have a budget and don't want to go to crowded and noisy places like Tokyo or Akihabara, please consider this hotel in Omiya, Saitama."

"The location is great just a few steps from the train station, and nearby a big mall ”AEON”. The self check-in and check-out, laundry machine, amenities, free coffee/tea and breakfast, and the room itself is perfect. This will be my choice again next time if I come back to this area."

"Watching the ice show at Saitama Super Arena opposite. After the show, you can see it by walking across the overpass. The front desk directly checked in with the passport and got the room card. The single room is quite spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The TV displays the buffet breakfast information, WIFI password and other check-in information. The buffet breakfast on the second day has Saitama's special colorful rice. I am greedy for rice, so I finished two bowls in the morning 😂 It was a good stay experience. I will stay again next time I come to see the show."

"This was our first time in Japan and we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's a bit far from central Tokyo, but it's right next to a JR station. The room was clean and offered daily housekeeping, but we didn't need it. The water bottles in the room were replenished regularly. However, there was no cooler with clean water for us to fill up ourselves. The staff was friendly and spoke some English. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of local and European dishes. Juices, coffee, fruit, and other items were available. This hotel set a high bar for us and our future hotels."
