Shimoda Hotels with Wifi

"This hotel offers incredible value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Shimoda! The room was clean and tidy, with unbeatable sea views, and the size is quite spacious for Japan. The bathroom was also relatively large and bright. Breakfast was also great value, with a decent variety and local specialties. The hot springs have both indoor and outdoor pools; for a non-specialized onsen hotel, the environment was fantastic. I imagine the outdoor onsen offers sea views during the day. But the most remarkable aspect was the hotel's service. They were patient and meticulous throughout. I had requested a high floor and not a corner room in advance, and the hotel accommodated both requests, leading to a room with an excellent view. One evening, I spontaneously decided to go out for dinner, only to find the nearest restaurant was a 1km walk uphill. The front desk helped me call a taxi and even reserved a table. The young man with glasses at the front desk patiently assisted with all the arrangements, for which I'm very grateful! Overall, the experience was fantastic, offering exceptional value, and I will certainly be back!"

"Quite affordable considering its proximity to the beach. The place gives a homey vibe. It’s clean and quiet. It’s run by Aoki-san and Keiko-san, a really nice couple. Those traveling by public transport shouldn’t be worried about access as long as you check the bus schedule of the day. We got lucky going back to Shimoda station since Aoki-san was also headed there and gave us a ride. Definitely going back! ありがとうございました Aoki-san. 🥰"

"You definitely need a car to get to this accommodation, but the rooms are top-notch. I chose a room with a private open-air bath, and the view of the ocean was spectacular. I also took a walk around the small island just as the sun was setting, and it was absolutely beautiful! The dinner was also very generous and featured local flavors, definitely worth trying!"

Although the beach is beautiful, it is a little far from the hotel. There is also a road between them. It feels that it is not privately owned by the hotel, so there are no safety protection facilities. There are no shower and changing facilities. The outdoor swimming pool is only for viewing and cannot be used. I wonder if it will be the same after June."

I saw the reviews saying that the food was good, and I wanted to try it, so I booked it in advance. When we arrived at the hotel, someone came to greet us and helped us with our luggage. We checked in and arranged for dinner. At first, I thought we would eat in the room, but I didn’t expect to eat in the restaurant, but it didn’t matter. The restaurant is a private room. When we arrived, the appetizers were already placed, and then someone came to serve us. I ate one dish after another until I was full. It’s too much! Who said that Japanese people eat less! And it’s really cost-effective, and the taste is also very good. It’s been 2 hours since we finished eating. The breakfast is also very rich, and the grilled fish is also delicious. It’s still very good to experience Japanese breakfast! We booked a tatami room. I thought I had to make the bed myself, but they helped me make it after dinner. The service was really thoughtful. However, I have to complain that the hot water in the bathroom was not hot enough. I just took a shower and went upstairs to take a hot spring bath (the public bathing water in the hot spring is better, and everyone can go upstairs to take a shower). I personally recommend everyone to take an open-air hot spring bath. It is really easy to lack oxygen in the indoor one. It is so comfortable to stare at the sea view in the morning! I will stay in this hotel again if I have the chance! ! ! Finally, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off service. The timetable for going to the hotel is in the afternoon, and the time for going to Shimoda Station is in the morning. It seems that you need to make an appointment in advance, but it is still very convenient."

"The room is large and fully equipped! The bathroom, washroom and toilet are all separate. It's close to the seaside and about eight or nine minutes' walk from the station. It's also relatively easy to go shopping nearby, with plenty of food and drinks. Very good value for money. It is best to put a dehumidifier in the room, as the humidity is higher at the beach, especially in this season."

"An old hot spring hotel on a very small and quiet beach. Dinner is a buffet for 1 hour and 30 minutes, including delicious draft beer. A variety of alcoholic beverages are included in the accommodation fee. The food is poor, but it is good to check in before 4:30 to add a special dish. There is a large bath and breakfast is good. I wonder if there is a more cost-effective accommodation in Japan."

"Далековато ! Но оно того стоит Прекрасный пляж . На рецепции все объяснили ) забронировали приватный Онсен. Купались ночью в бассейне ☺️ это лучшее , что может быть . Бар работающий с 20 до 22 часов и бармен Хироку , который готовил нам коктейли отличный джин-тоник за 300 йен -это просто подарок !!! Хироку тебе привет от девчонок из России и спасибо за отдых !! Комнаты чистые и уютные ! Вещи можно было оставить после выезда и сходить на пляж ЗАВТРАКИ ! Таких завтраков я ни в одной гостинице в Японии не ела )) омлет , овощи , фрукты , панкейки и безлимитный кофе 🙏🥰 Вид с обрыва шикарен 🥹 отель Сирахама очень милый и уютный ! Рекомендую 🥲🙏 Трансфера к сожалению не оказалось ((( Но я бы вернулась сюда ещё 😍✨🫠🙏"
