Our stay in the apartment was wonderful! It is a large apartment with three bedrooms, a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen. In the apartment of 3 bathrooms (showers) it is very convenient! In the bathrooms there is shampoo, air conditioning and shower gel; more than enough towels for all living. Beautiful interior, which makes staying particularly pleasant. Big TV with different channels in all languages - this is estimated by our child 😊 On the first floor there is a playground, we played with the kid. Nice neighbors 😊 Imran, the owner of these bright apartments, made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Imran was in touch before settlement, helped us with taxi advice, called us a taxi to the airport. When we were inhabited, we had prepared clean bottled water and even cooled water. Thank you! There are many different dishes in the apartment. There are tea, coffee, dry cream. The apartment had a leaflet with contacts where you can order a delivery of food. When booking on the site there was useful information about where to go to dinner. Imran told us where to buy fruit. We took the advice and tried various new fruits for us. The apartments are near the beach. We enjoyed a walk and met the sunset. The views are amazing! The ocean is beautiful! The water color is magical! Near the place of residence is Central Park. Goed to go - liked! We really liked the city! We found a lot of beautiful for ourselves! We stayed just one night before departure. But I'd like to stay in this beautiful city for a few days and better know it. Dear Imran, thank you for your care and hospitality! We are very pleased to meet you! All you have the best! P.S. ✨ Amazing Experience at The Somerset Hotel in Malé, Maldives! ✨ Just got back from Malé and I have to rave about my experience! From landing at the airport to the hotel, and even dining and getting around, everything was so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. 🥰 🚗 Transportation & Getting Around The hotel's location is absolutely perfect! Whether you're heading to the pier for a speedboat to another island, or exploring Malé city, it's incredibly convenient. During this trip, whether it was the expansive roads on the sea bridge or the narrow streets of the city, taking a taxi was always smooth. The drivers were really friendly too, so I didn't have to worry about transportation at all. It's super friendly for first-time visitors to Malé! 🏨 The Somerset Hotel Service & Details I felt so welcomed as soon as I arrived! The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and prepared welcome gifts for us. Even the envelope had my name printed on it – talk about attention to detail! The room was clean and tidy, with full amenities. The lounge area was tastefully decorated, and the corner with dried flower arrangements had a wonderful ambiance. Coming back to the hotel at night to unwind after a long day was truly therapeutic. 🍴 Dining Experience The hotel's restaurant was another fantastic surprise! - The seafood platter was incredibly generous! Crab, squid, mussels, clams... all fresh and plump. Paired with refreshing lemon and herbs, every bite was bursting with the taste of the sea. The portion was huge, easily enough for two people! - And then there was the local-style fried rice. The grains of rice were perfectly separated, complemented by tender chicken and a soulful spicy sauce. It was so fragrant, I polished off the entire plate! The side dishes like fries and grilled vegetables were also very flavorful, even the dipping sauce was so good I wanted to take it home. 😂 💖 Overall Impression Whether it was the convenience of transportation, the hotel service, or the dining experience, I couldn't find a single fault! Every day here was so relaxing and comfortable. It's an excellent choice for a transit or stopover in Malé. Next time I come to the Maldives, I'm definitely staying here again!

I booked Star Shell for very first time as a resident who working and living in Maldives via trip.com. Price is reasonable. The check in was quick and simple. Staff were very helpful. The room is lovely. However, if you are sensitive to the noise then I am not recommended, because you can hear the car noise from road. My room got lonely view far from sea and shade from tree. Very basic amenities provided as dental kit, bath amenities attached in bathroom. I wish to extend my stay directly with property as my bf able to fly to see me after his work, but as per property rules if you don’t have marriage certificate then it won’t be allowed to proceed. I understand, but nothing was mentioned so I won’t recommend to any expats in the Maldives. Overall just okay for transit night before fly out or to go other island.

The location was great, right next to the beach. However, we experienced several issues during our stay. First, there was sand on the floor tiles while we had just entered the room barefoot. Also, there was no hot water in the shower. Then, at 9:15 in the morning, the staff knocked on our door twice to wake us up, claiming there was noise coming from our AC outdoor unit and asking us to turn the AC off. After half an hour, no one gave us any update, so we had to call reception ourselves. They had no clue about the situation and told us they would look into it. Around another 15 minutes later, we received a call saying the AC issue had been resolved and that we could turn the AC back on. Later, while we were using the washroom, we discovered there was no water supply. We had to call reception again and were informed that the water would return in another 5 minutes. We ended up waiting inside the washroom until the water came back. Until we checked out, we did not receive any apology, nor was any alternative support offered while we were experiencing the issue.

There is a night market opposite the hotel. There is a business area nearby. Opposite is the factory apartment, surrounded by snacks. The price is also very good. The nearby scenic spots are also very close. I'll come next time I get a chance. Breakfast was good, too. Have many tricks

I had a really pleasant stay at Zan Lodge, and it honestly lived up to what I was hoping for. From the start, things felt easy and well-organized. One thing I really appreciated was the free airport pick-up and drop-off. It made arriving and leaving so much less stressful, especially after a long trip. The room itself was just what I needed—clean, comfortable, and relaxing. It wasn’t overly fancy, but everything was well-kept and thoughtfully arranged, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. The bed was comfortable, and I was able to rest well each night. Breakfast was another nice part of the experience. The food was good, and I liked that they included local dishes on the menu. It gave me a chance to try something different and added a more authentic touch to my stay. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, which made mornings something to look forward to. What stood out the most, though, was the staff. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They made the atmosphere feel warm and genuine, not forced. Whether I had a question or needed assistance, they were quick to respond and happy to help. Overall, Zan Lodge is a great place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and kind hospitality. I left feeling happy with my choice and would definitely recommend it to others.

The room size was decent, and it even had a small balcony, as we were placed on the second-highest floor. However, the room's interior still had a guesthouse-like feel, and the sea view was practically nonexistent. The doors closed very loudly, which could lead to noise issues affecting sleep. The breakfast area, on the other hand, offered a much better sea view and had a more modern and appealing decor. Complimentary round-trip airport transfer service: Yes, it's available, but I'd strongly advise paying extra for a private car service for pickup or taking a taxi on your own. This hotel is extremely popular with Chinese tourists; one Coaster bus couldn't even fit everyone. I ended up waiting a full forty minutes before the vehicle departed for the hotel. My mistake for not planning better.

No sea view, except from the top small swimming pool. Service was great, with good English skills. Located in a busy street, but walk distance to most things. Very small rooms for a really high price! Bed was really hard, and not suitable without waking up many times a night with backpains. Also wonder why the housekeeping cart always was outside our room for almost 2 days.. Very annoying! Next time I would consider other options.

Nice little hotel near to the beach. It comes with breakfast though and free transport to airport

Stayed here for a night with my friend before we headed to the resorts. The exterior of the hotel looked nice and modern, and the receptionists helped us with our luggage. Checked in was 2/3pm and we arrived early, had to come back in a while since the room wasnt ready but not a big issue. Located next to the beach, we could easily walk over to the beach and shops. One thing would be how there was no hot water and we had to shower with cold water. And had also encountered a small cockroach... But overall the room was spacious, could easily have our luggage lying openly and still had space to walk around, and had an outdoor balcony (but shared with your neighbor, so will be awkward if you happen to see your neighbor outside when you open your curtains).
