Part “tent,” part “cabin,” this incredible one bedroom hybrid structure will provide you with all the luxuries you’ll need, allowing you to still feel justified telling your friends you went “camping" in WV. It’s cool—we won’t tell.Camp Potomac Peak was recently (Nov 2024) named the best place to stay in the Eastern Panhandle by WV Living Magazine.About the space:An open floor plan houses the kitchen, dining area, and living room—and a ladder takes you up to a cozy loft sleeping area (queen bed). Rest assured that while the side walls and roof of the Cedar are canvas, they actually contain a layer of all-weather insulation! That, in combination with a minisplit heat/air system (and front and back solid walls), creates a comfortable, all-season living space.The Cedar's primary, full indoor bathroom is located down the front steps and about 20 yards away inside our tiny store/library—the Trading Post. This bathroom is private, and only available for Cedar guests. A changing area attached to the bathroom allows for any extra storage needs (suitcases, etc.). There is an additional outdoor bathroom (seasonal) located on the back deck, complete with outdoor hot shower and composting toilet (use this as a middle-of-the-night emergency type toilet).From early December through early March the Cedar is essentially a dry cabin (no running water). The nightly rate is reduced to reflect this. As mentioned above the full private indoor bathroom located in the back of the Trading Post is fully usable 24/7 for Cedar guests. We also provide fresh spring water (direct from the famous Berkeley Springs) via pump into the sink which can be used for drinking, rinsing dishes, etc. All dishes are sanitized in a dishwasher between guests during this season. The outdoor composting toilet remains available for use, it just may be a bit chilly!The decks easily offer one of the best views on the property, while also providing the perfect spot to grill, do some yoga, and roast a marshmallow over a campfire. Enjoy your coffee and breakfast on front deck's bar table and chairs. On the back deck, spark up a fire in the vintage stove (we provide you with fire starters and dry firewood!), throw some dinner on the propane grill, and enjoy that killer sunset in the lounge chairs.We provide everything you need, including all linens, bath towels/hand towels/washcloths, paper towels, tp, sugar/olive oil/salt+pepper, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hand soap, dish soap (we will email a full list upon booking). While the kitchen is limited in size, we do provide a small electric cook stove, pans, grilling essentials, dishes, etc. to do basic cooking. Situated on 8 acres, the property offers plenty of room for stretching your legs and walking around the grounds.The property has reliable, fast wifi, smart TVs (we provide Amazon Prime and Netflix to make it easy for you!), and good cell phone coverage.Important stuff to note before booking:- There are approximately 20 stairs to access the cedar from the parking space- Once inside, access to the loft sleeping area is a ladder with handrails. Jeff is incredibly handy and can fix/solve most anything (but don't tell him I admitted that). We are both personally involved in ALL of the day-to-day operations at CPP, and we are available 24/7 (we provide our personal cell phone #'s upon arrival). We have an absolutely AWESOME team member, Mandi, who does most all of our cleaning and detailing to make your stay perfect. Escape to this relaxing 4 bedroom, 3 bath, pet friendly cabin that's nestled in the beautiful Coolfont Mountainside Community that features a spacious deck, private hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, WiFi/Netflix, and a screened-in porch. It's centrally located between Downtown Berkeley Springs and the Cacapon State Park, which are both 10 minutes away, and offers quick access to hiking, fishing, golfing, shopping, and restaurants.The cabin features 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms plus an additional private den with a futon that can be utilized as a bed. My home was completely renovated in February 2022. The main level offers a bedroom with a queen bed and an attached bathroom, private den with a futon foldout bed, fully equipped kitchen with newly updated stainless steel appliances, living room with Roku to stream your favorite shows, board games, dining area with kitchen table, outdoor deck with a propane grill, and a screened-in porch.The lower level offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, and a large patio. The master bedroom offers a queen sized bed with a private bathroom. Bedroom #2 has two sets of bunk beds. Bedroom #3 has a queen sized bed.*The fireplace is currently not operational until next winter**Pets allowed, dogs only, 2 max. We considered calling this house “The View With Some Rooms,” but settled on The Lodge. One of a few units on the property, this private 3-bedroom house includes a rooftop dome (which serves as the third bedroom). From almost every spot, enjoy the jaw-dropping scenery of endless mountains, three states, and the Potomac River.Camp Potomac Peak was recently (Nov 2024) named the best place to stay in the Eastern Panhandle by WV Living Magazine.We have two other rentals on the property if you're looking to add more guests--the Cedar + the Cabin! Reach out for a full camp rental (sleeps up to 14).The spaceThe Lodge is a two bedroom, two full-bathroom unit with a fully stocked kitchen, cozy enclosed sunroom, adjoining game room, and two private outdoor patio areas. Our third bedroom is... on the ROOF! Sleep under the stars and take in the sunsets in our super cool rooftop dome--the Moonlight. As explained below, because of the cold temperatures, the dome is NOT available as a usable bedroom in January and February. The nightly rate has been reduced to reflect that.We provide almost everything you need including high-quality linens, luxury bath towels/hand towels/washcloths, extra hot tub towels, paper towels, toilet paper, basic spices/sugar/olive oil, fully stocked kitchen, all-natural shampoo/conditioner/body wash, natural hand soap, dish soap/detergent, etc. (we will email a full list upon booking).We have two twin air mattresses available with all linens/pillows/blankets.The Moonlight Dome (king bed) is located just outside the Lodge, and up a flight of stairs. Kick back and relax on the private rooftop deck, and use the telescope to stargaze. The dome shares the second full bathroom inside the Lodge. The dome is air conditioned (with blackout curtains!) during the warmer months. For the colder days, the dome has heat, and a heated mattress pad. Please note that the dome is not usable as a bedroom during the coldest months (Jan/Feb) due to the chill (insulation is limited inside the dome). As such, the nightly rate in January and February has been reduced to reflect 2 bedrooms and 2 baths available.Upon arrival, you'll find a bag of fresh coffee beans and a s'mores kit waiting for you.
