The front desk staff was very polite, and luggage storage was convenient. There are two Sotetsu hotels at Ofuna Station, and this one is quieter. Ofuna Station is really a great hub for transfers! I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Kamakura in the future!"

"The entrance was hard to find. There were three bunk bed blocks (six beds in total) surrounded by boards in a room at the back of the store that looked like it had been built by an amateur and was made of exposed concrete (probably not permitted under fire and building regulations?). (The lower floor was not high enough to sit on, making it difficult to do so.) The mattresses on the beds seemed to be made of thin urethane. It was difficult to sleep on. The curtains were unsightly, with strings hanging down. The batteries in the portable light inside the bed enclosure were dead, and although they were replaced, they would stop working soon after. The shared space was small for a six-person room, and the only thing it contained was a single-person sofa in the corner. It was the worst guesthouse I have ever stayed in."

"I had a nice night staying at this hostel. The room is not big but its comfy enough to sleep. Masa sensei was very helpful and kind. He recommended places, informed us about fireworks and i couldnt be more grateful. Shower works well, water fast, room is not stuffy which is a huge thing for me, the sharing space is comfortable. The bus stop is very close that directs us to kamakura station and lawson is 1 km walk so its good!! All good!"

Everything was truly perfect and Toshi took incredible care of every little detail of our stay. Villa Kamakura was the most beautiful place we stayed during our entire trip to Japan, it had everything we could wish for and more, I couldn't have asked for anything better. The only thing I regret is that we only stayed one night, we wish we could have stayed longer! If we return to Japan, we will definitely would stay here again! Thank you so much Toshi-san!"
