Dublin Hotels with Kitchens

"I traveled to Dublin alone and initially wasn't planning on booking such a large place, but for safety and the overall experience, I ended up booking this apartment. It's located in an affluent area of Dublin, where people are genuinely friendly and even cars will yield to you, unlike in the UK where they'd just honk. Here, they'll even smile and wave you through. Public transport, however, is a bit tricky. Buses are hard to come by and you absolutely have to wave them down to stop. So, getting around can be a bit inconvenient. If you have to catch a flight or a ferry, you definitely need to factor in extra time – at least an additional half-hour for waiting for the bus on top of your usual travel time. For instance, I allowed an extra hour for the bus and managed to catch my ferry back to the UK, saving myself €28 on a taxi. Another bonus is that you save money on laundry since the room has washing and drying facilities. Plus, you can cook your own meals, which also saves a considerable amount. There's a supermarket nearby where you can pick up pre-prepared meals to pop in the oven. The staff's attitude was generally good. Being in Ireland, if you just complain about the British, everyone treats you wonderfully. However, the facilities were a disaster. When I checked in, there was no one at the front desk. I had to contact Trip.com to get someone to come out. Then, the main door lock was broken and couldn't be secured at all. I had to contact Trip.com again and go down to find someone. They told me they'd fix it that afternoon, but I explained that with all my belongings in the room, I wouldn't feel comfortable with them fixing it while I wasn't present, and I'd have to stay there. So I told them to just fix it after I checked out. I ended up staying in that room with the faulty lock for three nights. And since I was alone, they didn't even charge a security deposit, just made a copy of my passport for their records, which was actually quite thoughtful."

"I booked a king bed and 1 sofa bed room. The room seemed quite spacious at first, with a cooking hob and a large bed. However, after we went to sleep, we realized it was actually two beds joined together, with a little gap in the middle. The mattress also felt softer on one side and firmer on the other, which made it uncomfortable. The sofa bed is not very clean as I found a hair under the pillow. Most facilities are available, but there is not enough space to keep personal items. There is only a small round table and two chairs. Next to the bed there is a very small table, and the bathroom has no proper counter or storage for toiletries or cosmetics—only a few hooks for hanging clothes—so it’s inconvenient during shower time. Overall, the staff were **helpful**, and check-in and check-out were **quick**. However, being located in the city centre, I still feel the **price is slightly high** for the issues we experienced."

"This hotel offers excellent value for money, is very clean, and I really liked it. While breakfast was a bit disappointing, the room was well-equipped with cooking utensils and dishes, which made my stay very satisfying. The location is also great. The only downside is the lack of parking, as I had to pay an additional 70,000 KRW for a day of parking at a nearby paid lot."

"The hotel was paid in advance for two guests, on arrival the receptionist told me it was only booked for one guest.   I only had the booking id number. It took two hours to sort the booking.  I don’t know if the confusion was from the hotel or trip?"

"Our room was upgraded. It wasn't huge, but perfectly adequate, comfortable, and came with a small kitchenette and a Nespresso machine, which was great for us. There's a highly recommended bakery just around the corner to the right, and a supermarket two minutes to the left where you can buy daily necessities. Most attractions are within a 2-3 kilometer walking distance; Trinity College is only about 500 meters away, which is incredibly convenient. The front desk service was also very warm and welcoming."
