"Yalakhom is situated at a remote yet accessible village in Himachal Pradesh called - Kalgha. Kalgha comes in the way to Kheerganga Trek, so those who are planning to go for the trek may consider staying at Yalakhom, as it is a great place to rewind and relax. I stayed at Yalakhom in the first week of June, the weather was pleasant and the rains made my stay even more pleasurable. When you will be at Yalakhom there won’t be any view you could take your eyes off. The people managing the homestay are also great. They take their time in cooking food, but they will serve you the freshest food possible with wide variety to choose from, that too at such a remote place. The wonderful folks at Yalakhom also offer accompanied guidance for treks, however I wasn’t aware of this until my final day at Yalakhom, so I couldn’t make use of the same. Pemba bhai, Agrimji, Resham bhai and Yangzee didi must be specifically mentioned. They will accomodate you as you are their friend, while respecting your privacy at the same time. I highly recommend Yalakhom notwithstanding your purpose of vacation, be it trekking or taking a peaceful break at the Himalayas."

While the bell services were commendable, the overall experience was marred by the inconvenience of having to repeatedly request basic room supplies, especially considering that rooms were decently priced and paid for upfront. It's disappointing to have to call for toiletries each time they're needed. While some individuals were helpful, these shortcomings detracted from what could have been a more enjoyable experience."

Staff was friendly and helped us plan sightseeing to solang valley and hidimba temple. Location is peaceful yet close to mall road. There was the limited breakfast variety.
