"Location: very convenient. There’s a bus stop less than 2 mins to and from train station. 2 buses to and from the apt. Bus goes to nearest Migros too. Convenience: Easy to self check in. Read review and procrastinated on booking this apt but was surprisingly easy and we just have to submit our passport copy for their processing. If you did not probably will have issue checking in. If we followed the instructions given no issues. Apartment: very clean, spacious and we slept like it’s our home. Kitchenette is very useful for us and also we love the washing machine and dryer facilities. Free of charge. You have to prep your washing powder. Will definitely stay here if I revisit. Highly recommended"

"The hotel is right by the lake, ten minutes walk from the train station. Directly opposite Famous Street LV. Quiet and comfortable. The customer service is polite and enthusiastic. Check in was quick. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast is rich in variety. You can take a walk along the lakeside as soon as you go out. recommend."

The View Lugano
"We spent three nights at The View Lugano at the end of our two-week Europe trip, and it was truly one of the most spectacular hotels I’ve ever stayed in—if not the most spectacular. The hotel is perfectly named: it sits high on a hill overlooking the stunning Lake Lugano, and the moment we stepped onto our balcony at sunset, the view literally brought my wife to tears. The town itself is charming, intimate, and beautifully quaint—much smaller and more peaceful than Lake Como, which we had also considered for this part of our trip. Choosing Lugano was absolutely the right call. Everything at The View Lugano was exceptional. Breakfast was outstanding, the on-site restaurant was fantastic, and the hotel offers a Michelin-starred tasting-menu experience that was unforgettable. Another amazing touch: guests can use complimentary electric cars and smart cars to explore the town. We used them multiple times for dinners and shopping trips, and it made getting around both fun and convenient. The entire property has an incredibly romantic atmosphere, making it the perfect way to end our travels across several countries. We left feeling relaxed, connected, and already dreaming of coming back. I cannot recommend The View Lugano highly enough."

"On the day of the trip, my 4-year-old son had a fever of 39 degrees Celsius and was diagnosed by the pediatrician with scarlet fever, a contagious disease, meaning he cannot have contact with other people for at least 48 hours. Since the morning, I requested a cancellation without charge as an exception due to the situation, but the hotel didn't even respond to my messages. I called twice, and the first time the attendant said she couldn't help me and asked me to call back to speak to the manager. When I called, the attendant informed me that the manager did not accept my cancellation. I said I could send the pediatrician's certificate, but there was no flexibility. Not only do I have a sick child, but I also canceled a much-anticipated trip and still had to pay CHF 220. I found this lack of sensitivity and flexibility absurd (I offered to reschedule for another weekend). It shows me a lot about how the property is managed."

"Very difficult to find as sat nav kept sending us down dead end roads, however once we did ,we arrived at the rear entrance which was shared by the local garage and bike hire s it was not immediately clear if we were in the right place. First impressions were of a very dated old fashioned hotel, with dusty old stair carpet and a cluttered reception area. We were promised a free travel card , but this was not forthcoming. Reception was rarely occupied (perhaps we were the only residents ??) so had little chance to chase this up. Room was spotlessly clean , but very small and hot. The air con did not seem to work. Shower was on a tap mixer which was bit like playing chicken with the varying temperature. However good location if you don't mind the short walk up the hill, staff were very helpful (when you saw one) Parking was available at a cost. For 2 nights it was OK, but doubt a family or longer stay is sustainable. Lugano itself felt very safe, but very expensive. Boat rips were good and the general location was spectacular with views over the lake and mountains."
