"The homestay is located on the pedestrian street right outside Luoyi Old City. It is easier to access through the parking lot at the back, though most taxi driver will refuse to reach there as the street is pretty narrow. Although the homestay follows old Chinese theme for all rooms and furniture, everything is new and clean. We even had water filter machine. There’s a separate laundry room that you can use for free. We were lucky that our room was at the very back, far from the noisy pedestrian street full of shops and restaurants. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who prefer staying close the to old city to take photoshoot in Chinese costumes."

"I was drawn in by a viral video and booked two nights at the Huayang Plaza Hotel. The service was indeed good, and snacks were provided every four hours. However, a hotel is primarily for *staying*, and the 20-year-old outdated facilities really wore me out after one day – two days was just too much… I decisively switched to Marriott. A big brand is a big brand, so comfortable! Breakfast was the best meal I had on this trip. If I hadn't been pressed for time, I would have loved to leisurely enjoy another cup of coffee. The quality of all the food items was excellent, showcasing Marriott's longstanding commitment to quality. I felt like the two days I spent at Huayang were a complete waste… I had a deep sleep thanks to the comfortable pillow. Before checking out, I asked Amanda, the lobby manager, about it. I added her on WeChat, and to my surprise, she helped me find a new pillow! It turns out I could purchase it, and she immediately sent it via SF Express to my friend. The five-star service is truly impeccable! Late at night, after returning from Longmen Grottoes, I wanted to ask about good food options. A super handsome young man named Oreo recommended some local grilled skewers. Honestly, when he mentioned grilled fish, his pride for Luoyang and his genuine enthusiasm were so heartwarming."

"I randomly booked this guesthouse for my trip to Luoyang and hit the jackpot! It's right inside Luoyi Ancient City, super convenient for going out, shopping, and taking pictures. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area. The courtyard greenery is beautifully maintained, and there's even a peacock in the lobby – I was so lucky to see it display its feathers! The room has a traditional Chinese decor, making for a comfortable and cozy stay. Upon check-in, I received a complimentary afternoon tea, and there were five intangible cultural heritage handicrafts to choose from. I made perfumed beads; following the teacher's instructions, the beads had a lovely fragrance, and I could take them home as a little gift. The experience was fantastic. The staff here are all very friendly and patiently helped with any questions I had. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the ancient city and intangible cultural heritage."

"The first time I stayed at Xi Que Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. First, I accompanied my children to participate in the Luoyang Marathon New Year's Day Run, and the distance between the hotel and the sports center was perfect. Second, the room was very clean, the layout was very warm, there was heating, and the indoor temperature was very pleasant. Third, I found that I had forgotten to bring a charging cable when I arrived in the room. After searching for it, the hotel thoughtfully prepared a three-purpose charging cable, which saved me from the water and fire. Fourth, the hotel provided a lot of free rental supplies, which was very warm. If I have the opportunity to go to Luoyang again, I will choose Xi Que again."

"The room layout was sensible, but the view wasn't great. It might have been better on the sunny side, but our room faced residential buildings. It was clean and hygienic, and the staff were warm and attentive, with prompt room service that met all our requests. A highlight was the breakfast, which had a wide variety of items and tasted good. The location is in a new district, not far from Longmen Grottoes and the Luoyang Museum, and also convenient for the high-speed train station. Downstairs, the Yantianxia restaurant offers local specialties like Luoyang Water Banquet. Overall, it's a good comprehensive score. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is built with lots of instgrammable spots. Looks very classical. The room is clean and most importantly, quiet. However, I just feel that the toilet design, which seems to be the case for most Chinese hotels, is weird. The door is almost translucent. While the design is all good and nice, it is extremely weird if my wife can actually see me take a poop... The service is also extremely good. The room was treated with anti smoke procedure and the butler was great in explaining a lot of things that we do not really understand because of our poor Chinese grasp, but yet appreciated. The food is not buffet style instead it is per order basis. To us, the food provided suited our palate very well. It seems that they offer Chinese or Western cuisine. We chose Chinese. Overall, this is an awesome hotel!"

"Extremely satisfied! The guesthouse is right at the entrance of a snack street, making it very convenient for eating. It's also very close to Guanjishui Banquet and easy to get to various scenic spots. The owner, an auntie and a grandpa, are incredibly warm and their service attitude is excellent. The auntie even helped us dry our clothes! Plus, the guesthouse is super clean with smart furniture, and disposable toilet seat covers are all provided. Highly recommended! We slept very well and will definitely stay here again next time!"

"This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a positive review, and I really need to give an objective, to-the-point assessment of the two-bedroom duplex suite I stayed in at the Hilton Luoyang. I originally booked a king room, but when I checked in, I found out they had a new room type. The front desk staff told me it was a newly opened two-bedroom duplex suite. Since I was traveling with my child, I figured comfort was important, so I paid at the front desk to upgrade and try it out. This was my first time staying in this kind of room, so I didn't have high expectations. However, once we got into the room, my wife and son absolutely loved it! Seeing their happy faces, I felt it was totally worth the money. The room even had a spiral slide, which my son adored and didn't want to leave. The front desk staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM, which I really appreciated. A big thank you to Alin, who checked me in and recommended a room type that perfectly met my needs. My son even said he wants to stay in this room again next time we visit Luoyang. Our whole family had such a wonderful time on this trip to Luoyang, which is why I'm gladly writing this positive review for the Hilton Luoyang. See you next time, Luoyang!"
Luoyang Huamao Chunsong Hotel
"When I came to Luoyang this time, after comparing several options, I chose this highly-rated Sui and Tang Culture Designer Hotel. Before check-in, the hotel's 'culture butler' proactively added me on WeChat. Not only did they send detailed transportation directions and real-time weather, but like an old friend, they also asked for my estimated arrival time, which I later found out was so they could adjust the room's air conditioning to the most comfortable temperature in advance. Upon arriving at Longmen High-speed Rail Station, the hotel's complimentary shuttle service was seamless. This feeling of being valued instantly made me feel at ease in a foreign place. What truly amazed me was the hotel's perfect blend of unique Sui and Tang ancient charm with modern facilities. The room had a capsule coffee machine, and the breakfast was incredibly rich, surprisingly featuring sashimi from four types of fish – a first for me! All the other dishes were very nice too. After a hearty meal, I was ready to head to the Longmen Grottoes. I recommend visiting the Longmen Grottoes in the morning, and the White Horse Temple in the afternoon. At White Horse Temple, you can buy a one-way electric cart ticket. After exploring, take a bus from the exit directly to Luoyi Ancient City, Lijing Gate, and Yingtians Gate for the night view, and then enjoy some Water Banquet cuisine."

Fengxiang hot spring Hotel
"I originally booked a room with a private hot spring for 700 yuan, thinking I'd be tired from walking and could relax in the hot springs. However, for a 700 yuan room, it was incredibly dirty, old, and run-down. The carpet was very, very dirty – the old-fashioned, wall-to-wall kind, full of stains. The windows were also grimy, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and the wallpaper was peeling. The whole room looked desolate and dilapidated. The service wasn't good either. Everything in the room was charged for. Later, the hotel refunded me a bit over 100 yuan, and I thought that was fair enough. I also spent a few hundred yuan on room service. Then, on check-out day, room service kept calling me, non-stop, insisting on collecting 10 yuan for a packet of instant noodles. I was busy and told them I'd call back later, but the staff insisted I pay through her WeChat right then and there. I'm genuinely disappointed 😔 and felt really wronged. I traveled all the way from Chaoshan, Guangdong, to Luoyang for this."

"It was an absolute surprise! The location is great, very close to Yingtianmen, just a few minutes' walk away. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the decor is fantastic, completely exceeding the price. The receptionist was very friendly, and importantly, the owner has set up a cat shelter for stray cats. There's a little cat named Zhaocai in the lobby. I hope this wonderful hotel will have a thriving business."

I booked for two nights, but due to personal reasons, I needed to switch rooms on the second day, and the front desk handled it very smoothly. Before I headed out, the front desk proactively gave me directions, and upon check-out, they even gave me a free flower pastry. A truly excellent hotel, highly recommended!"
