"The hotel chain is all located near train station and we trust the brand. That's the reason we chose this hotel. This one is about 10 minutes walk from Mainz train station. Very easy for travelling. It's also within walking distance to the old town where there are few Christmas markets - all about 20 minutes' walk. The room is spacious and clean. The bathroom has enough hooks and rails for towels and clothes. Staff are very friendly. In general, the Germans are hospitable and friendly to foreigners."

Also, make sure you are staying in the main building, or you will have to walk a long way with luggage... and help was not offered, although I had 2 suitcases. The location, while not central in Mainz, was reasonably well-connected to the city centre via public transport -- the bus stop was a ten-minute walk downhill from the hotel through very pretty neighbourhoods with regional charm."

Thus the manager may need to take the time to train some of the staff in basics required at a hotel of this level"
