"Positives first - lovely food, great location, close proximity to a lovely beach, very nice bar and restaurant staff. Negatives - room was dated, air con was very poor room temp got down to 24 degrees with air con on full. During a heatwave that’s pretty poor. I reported this twice to reception colleagues, first one said there was nothing she could do as the hotel was fully booked. I was advised to come back the following day which I did and was told they would get someone to look at it. They never did but I wasn’t going to waste my time complaining every day. However on day 8 of my holiday I lost a full day of my holiday in bed in that awful room being sick, headache I was over heating I just could not cool down. My husband had to go and buy two additional fans to try and keep the room cool. Not the best experience! I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again due to cleanliness in the room and poor air con"

"It is the second time we stay in Luna Club and Spa in Malgrat de Mar. We stayed in October both times, almost at the end of season.This time we purchased the all inclusive package. -the parking was not free unless the room was booked directly through the hotel website, since we booked through 3rd party we were asked for 15€per day + we found parking on the streets around the hotel, but I imagine in high season it is not easy to find and tickets are issued frequently in the area -the all inclusive drinks package is very limited, only one of each type of drinks is included(one whisky, one gin etc) and lower quality brands. No lemonades or fresh orange juice either, some types of coffee also not included, and the soft drinks were not bottled. + food is plentiful and Mediterranean style, always options for fish chicken and vegetarian dishes and most dishes were great -sometimes the food was really salty, not cooked properly, especially at lunch -desserts options this year were not great, repetitive types and not tasty overall. On the last stay in 2019 they had a chocolate fountain more assortment of fruits and better desserts -the all inclusive food options during the day are not great, some fruits,cakes and leftovers from breakfast or lunch, so if you skip lunch and want to eat from the all inclusive bar is not great +on the all inclusive package there is a free entry to the spa per person, which is great, but from Thursday to Sunday you can only go for 2h. The price was 15€ per day/2h otherwise +the spa is a must visit experience, although some features were not well kept since our last visit(the chromotherapy shower was broken, some heated chairs as well, less seating areas) +the rooms are nice and spacious, and kept clean regularly, although on our last stay we had more toiletries provided and the room was cleaned more often +the additional adult only pool is great, although be minded you have to pay a towel rental fee plus deposit and an additional fee if you want to use the Balinese beds by the pool(15€per day) +the staff is really good and kind, especially the bar staff and restaurant, many thanks to them, really good customer support and service +nice entertainment programs throughout or stay(5 out of 7 nights), although not great for youth and teens, not the party kind of vibe, which is why we chose Luna Club +relaxed and calm atmosphere everywhere, nice sitting areas, lots of sunshine Overall I recommend the stay at Luna Club for the price difference between Luna Park, but either go for room and breakfast only or for the breakfast and dinner option. I do not recommend the all inclusive as for the price difference you can buy whichever drinks you like and eat on the beach or other restaurants during the day. Also lots of add ons that were not included for all inclusive guests and you still have to pay for them. Thank you for our lovely stay! "

"Please note - 1. The only two lifts are TINY and ANCIENT. During our stay one of the two lifts collapsed - injuring the people inside - two ambulances had to be called to take the injured people inside to medical aid. 2. Reduced to one tiny lift instead of two tiny lifts most people including those on 6th and 7th floors were reduced to taking the stairs with prams and luggage 3. There are no fridge, hair dryer, kettle in the room. 4. Treat the salad with caution - the sweetcorn was off for example 5. They turn off the coffee machine and water machine at dinner time to compel you to buy water when you are super thirsty with the salty food. 6. There are no parasols at the pool with the sunbeds - it’s all just open sun."

"Disappointed. It's an old hotel that they've tried to give a facelift, but it's still what it is. The room had hair in some places, so it wasn't spotless. They charge for Wi-Fi, there's no refrigerator, and they charge for the hairdryer. The buffet hours are limited to 8-10 am and 5-9 pm, and they charge for drinks at the evening buffet. Overall, the facilities are very basic and offer nothing special. I certainly won't be returning."

"We had an Amazing week at Hotel Papi. Nice clean rooms a lovely pool to relax in or by. A great selection of food at the buffet, something for everyone at a grat price. The restaurant was always clean and the staff were constantly ontop of everything. It was clearing relaying or refilling. They were always busy. A few members of staff who stood out were Noelia, Davy and Gilbert. A friendly greeting each and every time we went to the restaurant. One inparticular female member of staff ( I didnt get her name) made an effort everytime to speak to our youngest and make her feel welcome. Overall they were all great and hard working, A brilliant team with a fantastic leader. Thank you all at Hotel Papi for a fantastic stay."

"The room was comfy and well laid out. It was kept clean to a high standard as was the rest of the Hotel. The Hotel staff were very friendly & helpful thoughout the week. The Restaurant food was excellent, Staff were very friendly and helpful here as well. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The area is quiet apart from at times noise from neigbouring hotels guests. I travelled to the hotel via a Shearings coach from the UK. This was my second time at the Hotel (April 2024). Swimming pools could do with being a bit warmer. the grounds were kept in very good order. The feel of the Hotel was very calm and professional, stress free."

"I can understand all the negative reviews on this hotel, we went for a week 18th August with 3 children ages 12, 10 and 5, and we had a great holiday. The pools are great for children, the hotel and grounds are well maintained, Food there was plenty of choice in the restaurant and plenty of choice in the snack bar, our room was lovely. Only thing I would say is evening entertainment could be improved."

"These apartments are by far the best self catering I have stayed in. Came to Malgrat de Mar last year and stayed in a hotel on the front which we did not enjoy. The Iris is perfectly located at the start of old town with a spar right next door, the beach a couple of yards away. Apartments are modern, clean, roomy and very comfortable with great WiFi provided as well as air-conditioning, a safe is provided for a small payment It's a one bed apartment with a pull out sofa in the living area but as there were only 2 of us we didn't need it. The beds were really comfortable, bedding and towels really clean and extra provided in wardrobe which was a full proper wardrobe The only thing missing was a full length mirror and the balcony fell a little unsafe, tho my partner assured me the slope was nothing to worry about. Definitely well worth money which wasn't a lot and definitely well worth a stay - the people who own it and run it are so so lovely, you will not regret a stay here, will definitely return"

"We wanted a short 5 nights of Autumnal Spanish charm and generally the holiday delivered. The Tropic Park Hotel is a very good 4 star rated resort with very modern and comfortable rooms with excellent showers. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there’s a real civilised clientele. Praise must be said for the superb catering and restaurant staff as the food was of the highest quality with plenty of choice and variety. Sadly though there is a big BUT coming ….. in the form of the Entertainment Team or lack of !!!!! We missed the Flamenco Dancing and arrived half way through the Magic Show which apparently were very good unfortunately we was subjected to four nights of Disco Bingo Pianist and then more Disco which was not only painful to watch but really disappointed our stay. Is it too much to ask for a quiz ? A game ? Or dare I say Karaoke ? Anything but that drivel and as an ex Holiday Rep I do know what I’m talking about !!!! So in the end a lovely hotel with excellent accommodation and food but let down badly by the Entertainment Team!!!!"

"This hotel has a range of activities to offer and caters towards relaxation. staff were so prompt and helpful. All locations of the hotel are clean and functioning. In terms of location make sure to plan your excursions ahead as Barcelona is a far distance. However the Santa Susanna station is walking distance from the hotel. The catering staff were absolutely polite and friendly, I would definitely visit again. There are plenty of nearby beaches to visit during your stay. Thankyou for my pleasant stay!"

"not bad but the walls are VERY thin and because for some reason teens see this place as a youth club they are up all night and are very loud, so expect no sleep. Food (I did b&b) is average, probably better if your not as picky like me, beds are good, views are good, 1 plug socket in each room (there is one extra in bathroom) so bring an extension lead, there are so many children here and they are all so LOUD! ofc this isn’t the hotels fault but it effects your experience, cleaning is good, every day and done well, elevator works fine (2)."

"Room - clean, big beds (4 people/family = 2 double beds), balcony, very big bathroom, minus - room is small. There is no possibility to ask for non clean the room. We have asked in a reception but they still clean a room every day. I am not sure if its necesarry. They are proud to be eco hotel, but changing towels everyday its not part of it. Hotel - perfect pool, 2 parts also for children but the one of them working just a few minutes a day and think its a shame, animation program was cool for all the people who would like to participate. Food - breakfast - deserved to change a little bit on a week, everyday was the same. But everyone can choose, a lots of sweet version of food, eggs, salami, ham, cheese… dinner - everyday a special night, meat and veggies every day. Beach - few minutes by walk, very close. Beach is good for children and strollers :)"
