Our room had full automatic controls, which was very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. Everything in the room was neatly arranged, and the toiletries had a lovely scent. My only complaint was that the water pressure in the showers of both rooms I booked was quite low, which made showering a bit unsatisfactory."

"Even though I booked a no-smoking room, the room really smelled like cigarettes. I asked to change, and had to change 2 more times since all of the rooms smell like stale cigarettes. The final room I was in was fine, but lower floor and the windows weren't as nice. The reception staff were friendly when switching rooms and answering my questions. For the room, it's a good size and was overall clean. Every time you enter the room, the TV turns on full volume with a safety warning which was annoying to turn off. The room also had condoms for sale on the desk in the room, so I assume it is a love hotel. It's a central location in the city, but nothing too close right outside the hotel. Everything is about 15-20 min walk away."

"Atour in Meizhou has really stepped up its service! It's so thoughtful. The environment is clean and well-designed, very user-friendly. They even prepared a cake for me on my birthday! For the dry cleaning, there's dedicated staff to help with washing and drying. The hotel's breakfast腌面 (pickled noodles) are even more authentic than what you find outside. A perfect stay!"

"I feel very bad and the service cannot keep up. It is extremely inconvenient to live in a mid-level villa. It takes more than an hour to go back and forth by electric car to have breakfast. Many complaints have not been resolved. The breakfast spot is crowded and I have to find a place to eat while standing. In the corner, the welcome attitude in the lobby is impatient, and no one manages the parking spaces, resulting in random parking. It is impossible to guarantee the parking of residents' vehicles. I don't want to come here again."

"The guesthouse is located inside the Hakka Cultural Square, in a nice environment. It's right next to the scenic area, bustling with people. Behind it is a river, and along the riverbank is a large grove of pomelo trees. Meizhou is famous for its Shatang pomelos, so this place is called Pomelo Isle! Changsha has Orange Isle, and this is Pomelo Isle. It feels a bit like a poor imitation! We booked a five-room guesthouse as a group of friends and family, thinking that at least there would be a living room where everyone could sit and chat over tea. However, I didn't check the facilities carefully and assumed they were there. Another guesthouse looked better in the pictures, and since the price was the same, I assumed the layout would be similar. But upon arrival, I realized there was a significant difference! The customer service was excellent. We arrived around noon, before check-in time, and they arranged for us to have tea at a large tea table in the back garden. It was almost 2 PM when they finally cleaned up and let us in. The rooms are on either side of the building, and the bathroom is in the middle of the corridor – four people share one bathroom. This was a bit inconvenient. Everything else was fine! The breakfast was also good! Overall, it's worth a try!"

"I cannot recommend this place enough! It is an absolutely unique and amazing spot. The owners have done a stunning job restoring this 100-year-old Hakka house. It truly feels like sleeping in a museum where the exhibits come to life. The property itself is an attraction. The atmosphere is incredibly quiet and relaxing, offering a perfect escape. We loved the convenience of having dinner on-site; the local dishes are freshly cooked to order and everything was delicious. The breakfast was also fantastic. To top it off, everything was spotlessly clean and well-organized. An unforgettable experience!"
