Elite City Resort ★★★★
"The hotel's decor suggests a vintage feel. Upon entering, the front desk staff provided a warm and polite welcome, specifically pointing out the location of the breakfast area and swimming pool, and offering assistance with arranging taxis if needed. This was a very pleasant experience. However, there were a few less satisfactory aspects: 1. During my two-night stay, the air conditioning was adequate and relatively stable the first night. However, the second night's temperature was inconsistent. It would turn on and become unbearably cold, requiring me to quickly cover myself with the blanket, only to become too hot and need to uncover myself. I spent the entire night waking up alternately between the heat and the cold, resulting in a very poor night's sleep. 2. I came specifically for the hotel's beach and pool, but the beach is across the street from the hotel. This is typical of Kalamata; the beach is on one side of the promenade, while the hotel's bar and restaurant are on the other. So, the opposite side isn't a problem, but there's no designated beach area. Towels have to be requested from the front desk and returned upon returning to the hotel. Towels cannot be freely taken on the beach; you must wear your swimsuit upstairs in the hotel. In reality, it would have been perfectly acceptable for staff to collect towels from the room. Regarding the hotel's swimming pool, it's large and beautiful, but it's only open from 10 AM to 7 PM. If you come back from the beach and feel like you have plenty of time to swim some more, that's impossible. It's rare to find a pool that closes so early. Even hotel guests have to make a purchase to use the pool. We ordered pizza and fries, and left half uneaten. When we came back from swimming, the pool was taken away without our confirmation (our belongings were all on the lounge chairs, and we had just ordered). After complaining to the staff, they gave us extra fries, but only two slices of pizza (the waiter said we only had two slices left, but we actually only ate two slices before swimming). They also gave us two ice creams for the remaining pizza, which wouldn't have been a problem. However, the waiter's attitude changed from apologetic before giving us the extra items to an arrogant, "we're done with you" attitude afterward, which was very unpleasant. In short, for this price, the facilities and service are not good value for money."
Elysian Luxury Hotel and Spa ★★★★★
"I had a really nice time at the Elysian Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and nicely decorated. My room was spacious and comfortable, and I loved the modern style. It was easy to work from my laptop there. The bathroom was great, and I especially liked the powerful shower. The breakfast was delicious! They had a good mix of sweet and savory options, with fresh fruit, pastries, greek pies, and even some hot dishes. I would have liked the option to order eggs or an omelet cooked to order, but overall, the breakfast was very satisfying. The hotel also has a nice gym and a spa, although the gym could use a few more machines. They have a very good outdoor pool too. We attended the New Year's Eve buffet, but I wasn't super impressed with the food. The DJ also wasn't the most exciting. However, the staff were all really friendly and helpful. I especially want to thank Vangelis, Andreas, Penelope, and Kathrine. Overall, I recommend staying at the Elysian Hotel. It's a great place to stay, and you can easily visit lots of beautiful places nearby!"
Karalis City Hotel ★★★
"We stayed two nights at the Karalis City Hotel and had a nice experience. It’s a good value for the cost. The breakfast spread was good with lots of options. We filled up and didn’t need lunch. Some fresh fruit would have been nice, they served canned peaches. The beds were a little firm for our taste, but the room itself was spacious and comfortable. Nice view of the harbor from our balcony. Roomy bathroom that was spotless. Appreciated the daily room clean. This was a perfect base for the area, great location near the square and lots of restaurants. There are a handful of parking spaces directly across from the hotel and a large public parking lot at the harbor down below."
Akroyali Hotel & Villas ★★★
". My wife and I stayed at the Akroyali in Agias Andréas for one week. We had booked a sea view room and we were allocated one on the second floor. There is a small lift so no issues getting luggage up to the room. The hotel is situated right on the harbour side and our room had sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious, simply furnished but had a hairdryer, safe, aircon, TV and fridge. It’s fair to say the rooms are a little dated but that’s not a criticism just an observation. The aircon worked well, there were plenty of sockets and the beds were comfortable. There is a kettle and cups in the room but we swapped these for two mugs from the breakfast area, with permission of course. Towels were changed every day and bedding I think, ever other day. Now as those used to Greece will not be surprised to hear, the bathroom is almost a wet room. There is a raised edge around the shower but it and the curtain don’t meet sufficiently to stop water getting onto the floor. There is a drain and it does tend to dry within a few hours. However if a wet floor bothers you bring a sponge type cloth and just mop it or use the bath mat. Standing facing the curtain while using the shower does help reduce the impact as well. The balcony is small with a table and two chairs, there is however nowhere to dry anything. Luckily we have a travel clothesline with a hook on either end and pegs so we were ok. The view however is lovely even if in the heat you cannot quite make out the other side of the bay. WiFi was a little hit and miss on the second floor, better on the balcony and downstairs. There is secure parking just a cross the road. Breakfast is a buffet but what a buffet, there is plenty of variety and everything is replenished as it runs out. If you want hot water for tea or yogurt and honey just ask. Some people had scrambled eggs and omelettes but I don’t know if there was a charge for those or not. The staff, what can I say, they are all very friendly and helpful, many don’t speak very good English but this is Greece and their English is generally much better than our Greek. Special mention has to be made of the lovely Ana Maria, who does speak very good English and was very helpful at all times. Agios Andreas itself is a small village/town on the road from Kalamata to Koroni. It’s popular with Greeks at weekends and holidays. Busy season is July and August but it livened up a little at the weekend when we were there. There are two beaches, the one south of the hotel (turn right as you face the harbour) is the best. There are around 20 pairs of sun beds with umbrellas but plenty of space to plant your towel if you wish. The taverna/apartments that run the sun beds requires you to spend at least 7 euros and then the beds are free. Toilets are available in their building at the back of the beach. I imagine it’s a lot closer to how Greek locations were before the package tourist industry took over. There are"
Zoe Seaside Resort ★★★★
"Don't book room next to the reception ground floor and with sea view If you are lucky enough other visitors will stop talking and laughing at the hotel's restaurants after midnight."
Grand Hotel Kalamata ★★★★★
Buka Sandy Beach ★★★★
"Excellent location, right on the beach! The sea and the sandy beach in front of the hotel are ideal for enjoying the summer sun in Messinia. The pool is quite large. Very good breakfast, we would like to have the option of all inclusive."
Pharae Palace ★★★★
"Location is perfectly located walking distance to all shops and restaurants along ocean side. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The restaurant up stairs is absolutely stunning with the views of ocean. Highly recommend this hotel."
Rex Hotel ★★★★
"We have stayed at the Rex a few times over the years and have been more than satisfied on every occasion. Our room on the 4th floor was on the corner of the building and was flooded with light. The bed was comfortable and the room scrupulously clean. The staff on reception were most helpful in every way. Once I asked where I might buy an English newspaper and the gentleman on the desk not only gave me the information he then rang the shop to check they had one. He then took me outside to show me exactly where the shop was. Breakfast provided an excellent choice and the ladies looking after the room were constantly refilling the platters to ensure there was enough. A particular plus in this hotel is that bar prices are normal and not grossly inflated as in so many other places. We often encountered locals enjoying their morning coffee or evening drink both in the bar and at the tables outside. The hotel is well placed for visiting everything in Kalamata. We enjoyed this visit every bit as much as our earlier visits and we are very grateful to all the staff who provide a wonderful service."

"A very perfect hotel and resort. It has four high-quality golf courses. There is a free shuttle bus that shuttles between the courses and hotels. The golf fee is slightly lower than the Shanghai course. The rental clubs are also good. The carbon shadow generation"
Artina Nuovo
"Great bed, clean room, good breakfast, great pool, excellent stay! The price-quality ratio is excellent. The hotel is right on the coast with the sound of the waves in the background. Sandy beaches are a reasonable distance away. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the village has potential. Work is underway on the harbor."
Irida Beach Resort Suites
"We stayed at the resort during the off season and were treated royally. It is a beautiful quiet location across a small road from the sea. The room was very clean and comfortable, except that the bathroom was very small--we would suggest removing the door and putting in a curtain to separate it from the room, because it is difficult to get in and out of the bathroom. The breakfast was extraordinary--a full buffet spread despite being the only guests during our 4 night stay. The hosts were very generous with information about the area, including tour destinations, routes, and restaurants. Would definitely stay again."
Lagouvardos Village Hotel
"First time in this part of Greece, and I cannot say enough good things about the Lagouvardos Village! Clean, modern units combined with a delightful staff. Located North of Marathopoli and just 20 minutes from Kyparissia, you can also walk to a great beach in about 3 minutes. We will be back!"
Garden City Resort
"Superb hotel - clean, modern and close to the beach with friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast and a cosy pool area. The staff go out of their way to be helpful - which sets the hotel above the rest."
The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, Costa Navarino
"This is a lovely resort for golf players and families. Overall we had a relaxing holiday and enjoyed our time spent here; there are lots of facilities in The Romanos and in the other hotels nearby (Westin, W, Mandarin Oriental) to cater to all tastes. Positives: - four impressive golf courses to match the expectations of golfers of all levels; particularly The Bay Course offers some amazing sea views - there is a nice blue flag sandy beach (the water is pretty deep near the shore, especially if it gets windy and there are waves) with a good greek restaurant (Barbouni) - Eleon Pool is great if you are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere - Anazoe Spa has a wonderful relaxation area with pools, saunas (but for some reason the spa staff doesn't inform the customers about it...) - as for food, what we liked the most from The Romanos' restaurants was Parafrasi, everything we ordered here was flavorful: roasted beetroot salad with cherries, rabbit stuffed cabbage dolmas, grilled lamb and kadaifi with cherries compote - in Navarino Agora you can find some nice shops with resort wear and I was also pleasantly surprised to find a Benaki Museum Shop (with good quality museum replicas) - we greatly enjoyed the idea of the cinema in open air (there is one with classic movies at The Romanos and another one with recently released movies at Navarino Agora) - the hotel app, where you can find all the intel that you need regarding the resort's facilities and some discounts as well :) However, there are some aspects that still leave room for improvement: - the rooms need a bit of a refurbishment - the food is quite pricey and the quality is not always up to the cost (e.g. the italian restaurant) - the reception staff doesn't deliver services worthy of a 5* resort, most of the time they seem rather bored - the cost for different tours is unreasonable..."
Grecotel Filoxenia
"Recently renovated hotel, in a great location on the sea, with 3 beautiful swimming pools and gardens, nice (all new) rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, extremely nice and attentive staff, perfect place to relax."
Messinian Icon Hotel & Suites
"Best inclusive breakfast I have ever seen, it was reason enough to go back. Very clean and spacious rooms. Views are phenomenal. Definitely need a car due to hills, but really close to Kalamata town. We loved the pool area and all the staff was very friendly. King size beds were amazing and we had good blackout shades for those long summer nights."
Kyparissia Beach Hotel
"First of all a big thankyou to all the lovely staff for the excellent stay at your great hotel. You made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food and drink was excellent. Amenities were close by, the square, the castle, the old town and a lovely quiet beach. The free wifi was excellent, the room was great and cleaned daily and couldn't fault this hotel. Hopefully will be back soon."
Artina
"Very clean relaxed beautiful place on the sea smelling the sea breeze. Newly renovated rooms fantastic people. When I visit the area I stay here always. Very close to everything but also remote located secured place nice to fear. You sleep with the sound of the waves"
Mantis Seaside Houses
"Beautiful, spacious room with all the amenities, incl. excellent air conditioning, full kitchen and bathroom. Very clean with new furnishing and fixtures. Safe location offered lovely views out to the sea and mountains from the balcony with a villa feel. Beautiful sunsets. Very calm and tranquil surroundings. Breakfast included was delicious, very generous with local Greek specialties like fresh pastries. Very attentive service from owner. Excellent value for the location, room size and quality. Would love to return esp. in the summer."
Camvillia Resort Messinia
"What a wonderful holiday we had for many reasons. Location was beautiful as was the beach. Staff wise; the jewel in the hotel's crown, was Jerry. Always had time for all guests, and chauffeured us all to and back from the beach. Jerry is the 5* asset to the hotel. The above statement, I happily give 5*. The rest, another story. Rooms, housekeeping was very poor. No liner in toilet bin on our arrival. One small 'guest soap ' for days. We asked every day. The ladies who were management, on the front desk listened, and resolved nothing. Eventually we were given clean bath towels, also clean sheets three days after our arrival. Only to leave the top sheet still folded on top on our bed! They did this same thing again, the next day. Truly shocking, and I wouldn't expect to have to make my bed even in a 2* hotel. The day before we left, the cleaning team didn't empty the toilet bin in our bathroom. Every evening we were flagging up our problems, not what you want to do on holiday. I felt management didn't really care. The beds were comfortable.however the lighting insufficient to attempt to put on make up, both in bathroom and bedroom. Interior of room, very tired. Such a shame, this hotel should be 5* but it's not."
Hotel Estia
"Another great stay at Hotel Estia. Our room's air conditioning operated seamlessly (despite 3 power cuts) thanks to the backup power generator. Steph, Glen and the team were friendly, kind and funny as ever. We've stayed here 12 times now and will be back next year."
The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino
"Poorly cleaned room and very poor service. This hotel offers many family packages, but the service is poor. The resort is large and has a large pool and a large beach."
Horizon Blu Boutique Hotel
"Check out at 11am because the cleaning lady has to leave"
Natura Club Hotel & Spa - Adults Only
"Had a warm welcome after arriving on a late flight - restaurant was still serving at close to 11.00pm. Staff were all polite and helpful and everywhere was clean and well maintained. Yes, the road up from the highway is potholed - so first gear and take it easy. Yes, breakfast is repetitive but there is enough choice that you can mix it up a bit each day. Bar service at pool is good and always sunbeds available when we went. Local beach is an easy walk away, not so easy coming back up the steep hill, but a quick shower and dip in the pool fixes that. On site restaurant is good although best to head out to local tavernas which are reasonably priced. Its a low key area generally and makes for a relaxed holiday."
