Elite City Resort ★★★★
"The hotel's decor suggests a vintage feel. Upon entering, the front desk staff provided a warm and polite welcome, specifically pointing out the location of the breakfast area and swimming pool, and offering assistance with arranging taxis if needed. This was a very pleasant experience. However, there were a few less satisfactory aspects: 1. During my two-night stay, the air conditioning was adequate and relatively stable the first night. However, the second night's temperature was inconsistent. It would turn on and become unbearably cold, requiring me to quickly cover myself with the blanket, only to become too hot and need to uncover myself. I spent the entire night waking up alternately between the heat and the cold, resulting in a very poor night's sleep. 2. I came specifically for the hotel's beach and pool, but the beach is across the street from the hotel. This is typical of Kalamata; the beach is on one side of the promenade, while the hotel's bar and restaurant are on the other. So, the opposite side isn't a problem, but there's no designated beach area. Towels have to be requested from the front desk and returned upon returning to the hotel. Towels cannot be freely taken on the beach; you must wear your swimsuit upstairs in the hotel. In reality, it would have been perfectly acceptable for staff to collect towels from the room. Regarding the hotel's swimming pool, it's large and beautiful, but it's only open from 10 AM to 7 PM. If you come back from the beach and feel like you have plenty of time to swim some more, that's impossible. It's rare to find a pool that closes so early. Even hotel guests have to make a purchase to use the pool. We ordered pizza and fries, and left half uneaten. When we came back from swimming, the pool was taken away without our confirmation (our belongings were all on the lounge chairs, and we had just ordered). After complaining to the staff, they gave us extra fries, but only two slices of pizza (the waiter said we only had two slices left, but we actually only ate two slices before swimming). They also gave us two ice creams for the remaining pizza, which wouldn't have been a problem. However, the waiter's attitude changed from apologetic before giving us the extra items to an arrogant, "we're done with you" attitude afterward, which was very unpleasant. In short, for this price, the facilities and service are not good value for money."
Karalis City Hotel ★★★
"A great welcome by knowledgable receptionist and the hotel is in an excellent location. All appeared perfect. Unfortunately the beds and pillows are very hard, that along with the motorbikes racing up and down outside in the early hours meant we got no sleep."

"It was very pleasant, liked again"
Zoe Seaside Resort ★★★★
"Don't book room next to the reception ground floor and with sea view If you are lucky enough other visitors will stop talking and laughing at the hotel's restaurants after midnight."
Horizon Blu Boutique Hotel ★★★★★
"Check out at 11am because the cleaning lady has to leave"
Pharae Palace ★★★★

Kleopatra Inn
"The hotel staff was friendly and the rooms clean. The beds were comfortable with clean sheets and nice quite environment. The hotel offers breakfast which I didn’t have so I can’t really comment. I do recommend this hotel without hesitation and will stay again if in the area!"
Mantinia Bay Hotel
"Nice modern hotel in a great beach area with large rooms and nicely appointed with a little balcony. We had a view of the pool on the first floor which was nice. Check in was quick and pleasant. You get a sheet at check in to order your breakfast the next day and call the morning of and they will deliver it to either your room, by the pool or on the upper terrace. The choices are the usual ones but plentiful and very good. The beach is right across the street and they have beach chairs and umbrellas free of charge for you to use but there are not that many so get there early. We watched the sunset on the beach last night and it was beautiful. Lots of restaurants on that strip to,choose from although the hotel has this own little restaurant in the hotel or you can walk across the street and have a gorgeous view. Had their Mango Passion milkshake which was just okay. I think it was a nice choice for the money and would recommend it. They also sell olive oil, wine, pastas, etc in the lobby and are pretty reasonable. "
Garden City Resort
"We've been traveling around Greece for 20 days, and so far, nothing like this has happened to us. The room does NOT match the photos. The family room they assigned us was so small that our suitcase didn't fit (and we only had one suitcase out of four of us!): the plan they proposed was to help us unpack all our clothes and put them in drawers! When we asked if we could change hotels due to limited space, they told us they wouldn't refund our money since the plan offered was good. We wanted to speak to the manager, who didn't show up or want to talk to us. There was only one electrical outlet in the children's room. They didn't provide official complaint forms. The pool was tiny and packed with children and adults playing ball. Not at all a 5-star hotel! Expensive for what it is!"
Irida Beach Resort Suites
"A family run resort with the lovely husband and wife Irida and Costas to make you feel very welcome and privileged to share their lovely home. This is an authentic Greek resort with fresh eggs from their chickens and delicious home cooked produce provided for breakfast. The village with many restaurants is a 10 minute walk away. Costas is very knowledgeable and happy to share information on places to visit. A very enjoyable stay."
The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, Costa Navarino
"Very good hotel. Great service and atmosphere. Great rooms. Pools, Beach, restaurants aqua park and a lot more in the resort. Also many sites around."
Camvillia Resort Messinia
"Oh dear Camvillia. No one can deny the stunning location of the hotel. You have some wonderful friendly and helpful staff but are totally let down by poor management. Housekeeping is simply dreadful; every day I had to go to Reception and ask for something - clean towels, more soap, clean sheets left at the foot of the bed, broken lamp and finally the paper bin in the bathroom not emptied. I do not wish to spend my precious holiday asking for basic things and then being told by Management that it is a five star hotel. Insincere apologies and nothing being done to resolve the issue is not good enough - even for a three star hotel. This was my fourth and last visit to the hotel. Get your act together and stop resting on your laurels."
Vasilikon Hotel 1888 the past is Present
"Very good customer service and helpful"
Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino
"Having travelled all over the world, I can honestly say that the service here, led by the ebullient Alexia M, was the best we ever experienced. The views, the food, the golf, the smiles… I will surely return!"
Artina
"I usually stay closer to my family in Filiatra but wanted to try this little village instead. It’s lovely and I will return. The rooms are upgraded and include air conditioning, a beautiful bathroom with a shower (that includes doors which is rare in Greece!) and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Breakfast is delicious and the pool is very nice! The staff is hospitable and nothing is too much to ask. If you’re wanting a nice hotel in a location to visit Messina, I would definitely recommend Artina Hotel!"
Kyparissia Beach Hotel
"Hotel no complaints. The location is dreadful, its very hilly and therefore you need a taxi to go to the square and the old town. We would not go back just because the location. Breakfast is the same everyday so gets boring. We did have a kettle in our room as we upgraded. Beware it very very hilly"
Messinian Icon Hotel & Suites
"Hotel is in a super location just outside Kalamata on the hillside. Very convenient for the airport, a 20 minute drive away. Large rooms with sea views. Large comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Bathroom had a good shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was only ok. The buffet, whilst plenty of choice, was a little dull and the cooked eggs etc looked well past their best come 10.00am. Very good coffee though. Dinner was good, attentive service and quick delivery of food on the sea facing terrace. A nice pool but very little shade to make it appealing to use in the afternoons as the terrace is west facing. Helpful staff especially on a late evening check in. It isn't immediately obvious where you need to go on arrival in the dark. We initially got out of our car at the lower level and blundered round for a few minutes before realising reception must be elsewhere: it was, you have to drive up to the upper level. The design of the hotel is stark minimalist. It needs the planting to grow a bit more to soften the edges and provide more shade. Good choice though for late fight arrivals and/or early departures and in a quiet location."
Grecotel Filoxenia
"I highly recommend this hotel: 1. People are amazing, very kind and helpful. They even found a back pain cream for my mother. Staff at the restaurant, beach and everywhere were amazing. Hotel manager was super helpful too. We asked for a quiet room, with nice view, and we got precisely what we wanted. 2. Sea and views are spectacular! Water is crystal clear. Especially if you swim in the morning its like being in a movie! Its also quiet, and not crowded (27 may to 6 June) 3. Hotel and rooms are renovated! This is very important! Doing my research, I have realised that often in Greece hotels may be old (it happened last year to me, that pictures dont show that). I highly recommend this place! I travel a lot, and i think this is one of the best places in Europe!"
The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino
"Poorly cleaned room and very poor service. This hotel offers many family packages, but the service is poor. The resort is large and has a large pool and a large beach."
Hotel Estia
"The only place I will ever consider staying at when visiting Finikouda! The rooms are clean, modern & spacious. Staff are friendly & always helpful. The owners, Stephanie & Glen go above and beyond in every way possible to make your stay enjoyable. The nicest hotel owners you'll come across. Gorgeous views of Finikouda from the rooftop balcony/bar. Stay at Hotel Estia, you will not regret it! We'll be back again :)"
Elysian Luxury Hotel and Spa
"Perfect stay in a perfect hotel! Modern, spacious rooms, good level of ammenities in the room, staff at the top. If you want to have dinner in the harbour, you have to walk for 20 minutes, but in a very safe area. Breakfast was fantastic as well, plenty of choices, freshly squeezed orange juice. The only limitation is related to the use of the pool, only 4 people capacity, you need to make a reservation...so quite tricky. Otherwise, a top hotel!"
W Costa Navarino
"Best hotel ever. Wonderful Polish facility, design of the facility and room top"
