Commodore Hotel

The hotel room was lovely and brilliant view but very disappointed with service after a night out we arrived back to the hotel about 10 50pm on the Sunday night to be told no late bar for residents and if we wanted a drink we had to get there and then or not at all another lady came in after us also a resident and was refused to buy a drink if you are on holiday who would want to go straight to bed at 11pm l have never had it happen in any other hotel anywhere especially as they had a night porter on duty who was very nice but wasn't aloud get drinks on the plus side they had a lovely terrace up on 3rd floor that u could sit out and look out to sea l think especially during the summer season there should be facilities for people to have a couple of drinks even if it was only till about 1am ,we checked with the other hotel in cobh waters edge and they were very surprised to hear this for residents

Booked at very short notice as my flight out of Cork was cancelled and could not find any hotels there. I’m very pleased I stumbled across this hotel and the delightful Cobh! A really pleasant stay. Comfy room, lovely bathroom and friendly staff. Couldn’t fault the location and some lovely places to visit all very close by. Would love to return!

The hotel was excellent with regard to location and facilities The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpfulll. The restaurant food was very good, well presented and plentiful. The bar whilst we were there for the weekend, ran out of brandy and rose wine, so they could perhaps review their stock levels to avoid this happening in the future. The rooms were lovely ,spacious, well fitted out but lacked 'soul' perhaps a couple of pictures etc would help. Overall, we would very much recomend this hotel and will be returning in the future.

The hotel was expensive for the night as there was no breakfast included. I also then had to pay for parking, which should be included as it was expensive to stay with no breakfast included. Staff had assigned a parking space for me, and on my return from a family funeral, my space was gone. I parked in another space and when I informed the staff they asked me to move my car to another space. I declined. I had paid for my space, and it was gone on my return. Staff seemed to know nothing of what was going on in parking spaces. Disappointing experience. I would always stay at the commodore but will probably seek somewhere else going forward.

Classic. Huge room. Ventilation not too good as most windows cannot be opened

Lovely stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the room was spectacular. Extra touches in the room were very nice. Only negative was noisy guests in neighbouring rooms.

Great location and view. Large, comfortable room.
