CityBlue Creekside Hotel & Suites ★★★★
"Hello , when you will return my over charged $ 1500? My friend and I stayed at City Blue Hotel Mombasa, Kenya on December 25, 2025. The next morning when we checked out, a staff member named Cynthia made a huge mistake with the billing—she charged my credit card 1,500 US dollars incorrectly, even though my actual total cost was only 5150 Kenya shillings. The hotel team apologized right away and promised the overcharged amount would be refunded to me by the Tuesday. But that promise turned out to be empty. I’ve waited for a full month, sending repeated emails and asking local friends to call the hotel to follow up. Yet, there’s been absolutely no response from them—no updates, no explanation, nothing. It’s incredibly frustrating to be left hanging like this over such a clear billing error. I just want the money that’s rightfully mine back, and it’s disappointing that the hotel isn’t honoring their refund promise or even communicating with me. What is the attitude of the hotel's senior management regarding this billing error? I want to receive my refund as soon as possible."
Voyager Beach Resort ★★★★
"We recently finished our holiday to Kenya and Tanzania at Voyager Resort. We were both surprised to find I'd booked an all inclusive package and it was excellent! Our booked garden view room ending up having a view of the ocean. It was amazing. Great staff, really good food, same with the included drinks. Loved the Outlook Bar. It's a big resort but it didn't ever feel crowded. Now if they could have just guaranteed the sun it would have been perfect :)"
PrideInn Hotel Nyali ★★★
"It was a small but lovely hotel. Hotels in Mombasa have a lot of problems, and I expect further efforts to be made depending on the attitude of the staff and management. Thank you."
Travellers Beach Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Really good hotel, good food, friendly staff and good value for money. Highly recommend."
Sheratton Regency Hotel ★★★
"Stayed here for 2 weeks. Of the options offered in Mombasa, the hotel is good. The buffet is poor, but there is one. Of the minuses, cockroaches in the room. It would be good to update the room renovation."
Kilua Beach Residences by CityBlue, Mombasa ★★★★
"Nice good"
Severin Sea Lodge ★★★★
"The hygiene was excellent, though the facilities were a bit dated. Service was great. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and it wasn't crowded, which was ideal for someone who likes peace and quiet. There's a small activity room and two swimming pools. The food was just okay."
PrideInn Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa Mombasa ★★★★
"Hello everyone! To say the hotel is excellent is an understatement. It's wonderful!!! Everything about it is perfect: the location, the infrastructure, the staff, the food, the cleaning. I haven't felt such a sense of peace at a hotel in a long time; I felt complete peace. Our room was in block 5 with an ocean view, and it was simply wonderful. It was windy during the first few days of our stay, and we didn't want to go in. But the seawater pool was a great alternative, with daily aerobics and other activities. The pool bar is excellent (it feels like you're always welcome there). I'd also like to mention the food: it's superb. The chef is always on top of things, monitoring service and making sure guests are happy. He's a great guy!!! I'd also like to mention Michael, the hotel receptionist, who greets you upon check-in and continues to provide top-notch service, so a special thank you to him!!! The entertainment team is 100% committed. Huge respect and thanks for their professionalism and hard work. Before leaving, we had a fantastic dinner outside. It was a complete delight. I was overwhelmed with happiness at being here right now. I left with tears in my eyes (it was all so touching). Thank you, thank you, thank you, my favorite hotel!!! I'll be back!"
Sentrim Castle Royal Hotel ★★★
"The food in the restaurant on the first floor is very good, but you need to be a little patient. The triple room is very spacious and the location is very friendly for visiting the old town the next day."

Bamburi Beach Hotel
"We stayed at the Bamburi Beach Hotel. Our booking was done by Moyo Holidays and it was a flawless experience. Our flight preference and attention to detail all taken care of by Moyo Holidays. From the time we checked in the front desk staff were very warm and inviting and we were welcomed by a cool hibiscus drink and cold towels. Checking in was very easy and we felt the love and warmth rightaway. We were given a spotless, clean and very spacious room with an ocean view and a remarkably comfortable bed, strong wifi and every detail felt luxurious..from the rainfall shower to the complimentary bath amenities, awesome cushions ..etc Dining staff - chefs, waiting staff all ready to serve you with gleaming smiles, outstanding breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner buffets offering a wide variety of cuisines. The Bar staff really very conversant, polite ready making your drinks and ensuring you sit there content. The infinity pool is one where new friendships are made and the pool staff very friendly with fluffy towels on hand and guiding you to your pool bed overlooking the ocean or the pool. The events team entertaining all with pool / beach activites like aerobic, volleyball, stretches etc and engaging all in live entertainment in the evening. The snack bar really going out of their way to serve snacks , freshly popped popcorn, endless scoops of icecreams and a menu to please all anytime of the day. The entire cleaning staff ensuring each and every place is spotless and the security staff ensuring your safety at all times. Birthdays and anniversaries or any special occassion celebrated with a lot of pomp by the entire staff with endless wishes and personalized cakes and one getting pampered with loving room decor for your special day. Ocean views and the stunning sunrises to please a photographers soul, the beach walks, boat rides and watersports all right outside for you to experience. Special thanks to Michael, Lorna, Bibiane, Frederick, Andrew...and all the staff. I would definately come back again and again to get that much needed break."
Royal Shaza Suites
"Good hotel and more affordable than many on this coastline. Stayed here while attending a conference at PrideInn Paradise and no complaints! Only issue was that the trip booking was not showing on arrival but the hotel were amazing and sorted it out. Huge rooms with kitchen, fridge, kettle which was great for making tea!"
Ziwa Beach Resort
"I went to the restaurant for three days. The first two times I ordered food and a big bottle of still water to drink. The third time I noticed that on the menu the price of the water was half the price that they charged me. I confronted the manager with the fact and, while admitting that they had taken double the money, they took out a piece of paper, not signed by me or anyone else, pretending that there was still a bottle to pay. I could not order any food, was encircled by three hard headed people, I told them that I don’t want discussions and that I want to eat. Instead of passing my order to the kitchen they wanted to discuss till I give in. I stood up and went away. I ate at nearby restaurants lido and la casa di nico were I was treated as a king."
Tudor Water Sports Hotel
"I enjoyed the services and the ambiance"
Sai Rock Beach Hotel & Spa
"The rooms needs uograde ."
Bliss Resort
"Over this past 6 months I have been staying at Bliss periodically for business. Excellent location and facility. The rooms are as spacious as any 5 star hotel I have stayed at and the staff, exceptionally friendly. The Restaurant is probably one of the best in Mombasa. Be aware however alcohol is not served. The location should also be highlighted as it is a safe area for Expats to walk to the local shops, bars, banks and restaurants."
Cocoa Luxury Resort
"This hotel is conveniently placed right next to the beautiful Nyali beach but that is where the good things stop. Muthu is very poorly maintained, with a collapsed building on the back right of the pool. Each room has ripped and stained mosquito nets. Rusted and dirty bathrooms, the first room we were put in the water was leaking from the toilet. The AC works but sounds like it’s about to explode. And the lift is broken, so you are screwed in you are on the 4th floor. We also ordered a meal from the restaurant, but had to send us back as the chicken biriani had gone bad, and the spaghetti bolognaise was so salty my wife tried to poor water on it to make it better, with no luck. Finally, the entire team there doesn’t communicate with each other and they cannot be contacted by Trip.com. That meal we sent back, we were told by the restaurant manager that we would not need to pay for it. He never told the reception staff and we had to argue with the guards at the gate of the hotel to let our taxi leave for about half an hour before we had to force our way out. Please don’t stay here, it’s not worth it. Go to somewhere near Diani beach, it’s much better on that side."
Cocoa Boutique Hotel
"The premise offered excellent services, very serene view and great food served. The hotel team was very welcoming and friendly. I loved the pool, the cinema/bar space entertained the guests well, the morning ocean view from the room is THERAUPTIC!"
Neptune Beach Resort - All Inclusive
"This is a fantastic hotel. I really cannot find any faults for the 2 weeks that we stayed for. The pool guy Danson looked after us like we were his family. He is such a credit to the hotel and I hope the hotel can reward him for outstanding service. Kalimbo the gardener brought us fresh coconuts and prepared them for us to drink. Thank you kalimbo. Gibson at the bar made sure we were properly hydrated without us having to leave the sun lounger. Thank you Gibson. For my partner’s birthday they even made a special cake for her and sang happy birthday. She was so happy so thank you. We also got up early to watch the monkeys a couple of times and they are so cute and funny. This was a holiday that was so good we plan to come back again."
