"Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient. Facilities are good. I did however have a cluster of ants in my room. They were swiftly dealt with by staff within about 5 minutes after reporting. I was grateful for being able to leave luggage prior to check in but a bit disappointed i had to pay 2 nzd to store luggage in a locked on departure for about 90 to 120 minutes. I can understand charges for longer periods of left luggage on check out, but under 2 hours seemed a bit unfortunate. However i would still recommend the YHA for others, although if you want a more "party" type hostel, this isn't it."

"Arrived late at night, the kind landlady patiently waited and guided warmly, the room was very clean, the kitchen utensils, tableware, coffee pots and other arrangements were well arranged, the facilities were all available, the bathroom was spacious and bright, and the five-star praise!"

Bed is comfortable, electrical blanket is a plus. City view from balcony and mountain views from front verandah are very pleasing. Lovely friendly host lady makes our stay even more enjoyable. Location is central as well, easy drive/walk in and out. Loved it. Highly recommended."

The Sails is definitely top tiered among the hotels in Nelson, with easy access to nearby sights and walking distance to many eating places. we give our strong recommendations to everyone who's stopping by to book this place!"

"We drive up from Chch to Nelson to visit my grandma and decided to stay at ASURE fountain. When we arrived there was a lovely young girl at reception who checked us in, we chatted for a while and she took the time to explain everything to me and answer the questions I also had. There is a car park outside each room which is great! Our room had 2 bedrooms, beds were extremely comfy, kitchen, sofa and dining table. The heater was amazing and warmed the whole place up! My daughter loved the small playground down the back! I can’t think of anything I can complain about! We really enjoyed our stay with you guys, thanks for having us! We will for sure be back ♥️"
