"I booked a family room on the 8th floor, but the elevator only goes to the 7th floor, so I had to carry my luggage up one flight of stairs. The room was listed as 40 square meters, but half of that was actually balcony space, so the room itself wasn't very big. The balcony only had a door, no windows that could be opened, so ventilation was only possible by opening the door. The room had a strong odor, which improved the next day, probably left by the previous guest. The shower stall only had half a glass partition, so shower water splashed into the bathroom, and my slippers got soaked. Despite being advertised as part of the Jinjiang Group, it felt like a privately owned hotel. The hotel provided children's toothbrushes and slippers, and there was a crushed spider on the sole of one of the slippers. Considering the low price, I just wiped it off myself. On the third day, I moved to a room on the 6th floor. The layout was more open, but there was a hole in the ceiling, and the bathroom floor and walls were covered in hair. I accidentally got a small bloodstain the size of a 10-cent coin on myself during my period. I informed them, and they compensated me 30 yuan. These days, bloodstains aren't difficult to clean, and the area wasn't large; it's usually considered normal wear and tear for a hotel, so asking for compensation was a bit unpleasant. Aside from that, the service was okay, and the front desk provided free bottled water. The location is about 2km from the beach, which isn't a short walk, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby."
