The RidgePoint Hotel
Dunkeld East Hotel
"The experience was incredible. Myself and my girlfriend went for the weekend after a very hectic business trip and so we were on the market for a well priced luxury mental cleanser. This trip was was perfect. We are big fans of the Touch Down Group's properties and this one did not disappoint, and I won't even get started with the salivating worthy food's! Well done team!"
Alveston Manor Hotel
"The hotel was great, and we enjoyed our stay. The Spa went out of their way to accommodate us as we couldn't make for our Spa appointment on the agreed upon time and date. The receptionist seemed to not know what he was doing exactly as we were asked to pay for accommodation upon check out even though we booked via daddy deals and the voucher was attached on our check in form. That was sorted out eventually though I feel the gentlemen at reception should have checked all that and not inconvenience us as we were already running late for our spar treatment. The bed on one of the rooms we booked was a bit small and the aircon was not working properly, however we had a nice and enjoyable stay."
The Ridge Hotel
"Slept in the hotel for work purpose. Blue flag games Left cup full of tea as my time was up for going was running late. In the evening coming back cup was still there with tea. Dustbin not emptied. Housekeeping never removed anything. Food was horrible everything for breakfast hard and over fried. Very poor service"
Olifants River Lodge by Dream Resorts
"The resort probably has a lot of potential, but the overwhelming feeling was one of not our problem, contact corporate. When making the booking online I received a reservation number and a few hours later another email said I must pay or it will expire. Travelling at the time I did not investigate and made the payment. When we arrived at reception I was told I had two bookings which was clearly wrong. But since it was an online booking I was told to contact central reservations - zero attempt to assist. I have now reported this twice - still no response. We booked dinner bed and breakfast - nowhere is it stated that the last dinner orders are at 19:00. We had 45 minutes to decide what to eat - not quite the evening we had planned. The breakfast was equally uneventful and the heated pool had slimy algea growing on the sides. The Cabana were clean and had an aircon which was a pleasant surprise. Should be noted that the shower in the Cabana is in the bath which is not suitable for aged visitors. I requested via email check-in and check-out times and received no response. If you are planning on doing self catering note its not a quick drive to buy anything you forgot - the gravel road is hectic and we were in a 4x4. There were signs of recent money spent like the loungers at the pool and the grounds looked well kept. But overall certainly got the feeling of a tired family owned business with a corporate take over that left a few people disillusioned. Bit of a tragedy if you ask me."
Anew Hotel Highveld Emalahleni
"Love this hotel. Always clean, friendly staff and very spacious rooms . Plus the hotel is located just a short walking distance to a shopping centre "
Boven Villa
"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Boven Villa Guesthouse. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional, warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful in every detail. The retreat experience was truly revitalising, rejuvenating, and deeply relaxing. From the nature walks, grounding, reflective and creative activities, everything about the environment encouraged rest and reflection, making it the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life. The atmosphere was calm and beautifully curated, allowing me to fully unwind and reconnect. A special mention must go to Jean, who was simply amazing. She created such a welcoming and peaceful space where it felt natural to relax, reflect, and bond. Her presence and care made the experience even more meaningful, and it’s clear she puts her heart into what she does. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and grateful for the experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a restorative and memorable getaway. Thank You. Dankie. Ngiyabonga."
Kairos Home
"Kairos Home is a great place to stay. Easy to find and close to the Middleburg Mall. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. We would be very happy to stay over again."

Rocky Drift Private Nature Reserve
"Spent a lovely three days with Warren and Sam at Rocky Drift. Great scenery, quiet (except for running water) and welcoming. Great place for walks up and down the valley and swimming in rock pools. Good food and huge portions. "
The Blue Sparrow Guest House
"Not the standard I am used to from Nightbridge. Bad internet, TV not working, water pressure bad. No complimentary water. 1 toweel so if you shower in the evening, you use a wet towel in the morning. Worst coffee supplied ever."
Lily Villa Country Lodge
"We had my daughter's wedding there on Saturday, her wedding started at 3pm and was brutally crashed by your day visitors by 7pm, when we complained to reception and security the reception lady was so drunk she could not even speak properly, she told us that this is our own fault because we only had access to use the venue from 3pm to 5pm, only 2 hours for R7000 for a hall with no locks???? And your day visitors coming in to dance and take over the wedding reception eating all the wedding food & snacks meant for the wedding guests. I will leave a review on every single platform about the horrible horrendous service you offer your guests. Your day visitors and lack of night security honestly screwed up my daughter's wedding day, as a day that was supposed to be memorable for the new wedding couple is now only a memory of horror thanks to the way you conduct business on your premises. I would advise anyone to rather spend your hard earned money somewhere else where there is professional people who care about your experience too and not only about your money like the staff & management of Lily Villa County Lodge, you should change your name to Lodge of Horrors to fit the TRUE experience you give your guests. Worst experience of our lifes and my daughter is utterly heartbroken because of this, we lost ALOT of money entertaining your day guests in the night time with no security in sight, THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!"
Walkersons Hotel & Spa
". Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil, well maintained property. Walks and hikes. We stayed self-catering and also enjoyed excellent service, food on occasion in hotel, including a surprise birthday cake. Visited the rehabilitation centre for birds of prey. Not far away is the quaint town of Dullstroom, Beer, coffee brewed at same place! Dullstroom parkrun was a challenge"
Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate
"I really cannot rate this place enough!! I have never written a review before and we have stayed all around the world. It really is the MOST magical place! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! On my evening runs I was 2 metres away from zebras! SO much wildlife! The horses are so beautiful and treated amazingly- tehey are let out every evening to roam the grounds freely and come back themselves every morning. I saw some horrible reviews so was nervous which is why I had to write. I cannot fault the place! The staff were amazing, the food was amazing. Make sure when you check in you ask for a map and ask for everything they have on offer as they don't really advertise. I would recommend on day 1 going for a long walk around the grounds and getting a feel for the place. The two restaurants are on opposite ends of the property so you have to drive and one is closer to games area and other side closer to reception where you book everything. So many amazing places for fly fishing (the kids and I had a lesson which we loved) and also the horse rides are an absolute must! We were walking at sunset through a huge zeal of zebras! It really was so amazing! We went from here to Camps bay in Cape Town and I preferred here. The rooms aren't fancy here more lot cabin like but very comfortable and well built two stories w kitchen/ bathroom/ large bedrooms and comfy beds. But the place is so beautiful you won't be in your rooms much! Dunks the town was quaint and gorgeous too with lovely shops and restaurants. Can you tell I loved the place haha . We will be back!!!"
Gooderson Kloppenheim Country Estate
"What a wonderful getaway! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, friendly, and incredibly inviting. Even though we only stayed for two nights, it honestly felt like we had enjoyed a full week’s holiday. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay, and it was clear that guest experience is a top priority. Stuart, the General Manager, was visible, attentive, and genuinely involved in ensuring everyone was comfortable and well looked after. The food was absolutely lovely — we can highly recommend both the mussels and the steak! The spa was another highlight, offering amazing treatments, excellent service, and very reasonable pricing. This is truly the perfect place to relax, unwind, and completely switch off. We would love to return again, especially with our children. We’ve previously visited another one of the group’s properties, Midlands Saddle and Trout, which we also loved and hope to visit again — but Kloppenheim Country Estate is honestly on another level. Thank you for spoiling us with such a fantastic weekend away!"
