Upon arrival, the reception staff greeted me warmly and check-in was smooth and efficient. The hotel's lobby exuded a modern and clean atmosphere, which was quite welcoming. Furthermore, the hotel's security measures were commendable, ensuring a safe environment for all guests.
My room at Hanting Hotel was cozy and adequately furnished. The bed was comfortable, offering a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring. However, I did notice that the room lacked proper sound insulation, as I could hear noises from the hallway and neighboring rooms. This impacted my sleep quality slightly.
The cleanliness of the room was generally satisfactory, although there were a few areas that could have been better maintained. The bathroom, while functional, could benefit from some upgrades to enhance the overall experience.

MM8821****I managed to get tickets for the Changchun Airshow, so I booked a hotel on Ctrip. To my surprise, I found out that IHG had just opened a new InterContinental Hotel in Changchun this year – the InterContinental Changchun Gaoxin. I immediately placed an order, but it was fully booked on the 18th and 19th. To stay at an InterContinental, I decided to extend my trip by a day.
My stay was incredibly comfortable. The decor is a new Chinese-style light luxury and minimalist design, and the cleanliness definitely met five-star standards. The highlight of the facilities was the Kohler smart sensor toilet – no need to lift the lid yourself!
Finally, let's talk about the service. Every staff member I interacted with greeted me with a smile and was eager to help. I especially want to commend Lobby Manager Wang Xue; her service was truly a 'five-star benchmark.' When she learned that we had specifically adjusted our airshow schedule to stay at the hotel, she not only proactively helped us confirm the transportation routes to the airshow venue but also thoughtfully prepared portable bottled water and a sunscreen reminder card.
This stay truly made me feel that 'InterContinental quality' isn't just about luxurious hardware; it's also about the warmth hidden within their service. Even having to wait an extra day to stay here was completely worth it. The next time I come to Changchun, this hotel will definitely be my first choice!

MM53355****I highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel! We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a family room upon check-in. The room was spacious and thoughtfully arranged, offering incredible value for money. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile, which made us feel very comfortable. The location is also a huge plus – just a hundred meters walk to the subway station, making it super convenient for sightseeing or daily commutes. Overall, our experience was perfect!

- Breakfast selection was great and service of staff there was superb
- Room assigned was on 33rd floor with great view of the city
- Room size was big despite having a small window space
- Futuristic and minimalist hotel with robot to send food to your door (deliveries)
- About 10 mins walk to “The Hill”/“Wanda Shopping Mall” and Tram 54
Cons:
- Not easy to find the exact location in Didi App as it’s very new and there are a few hotels of the same name around the area
- Was told that they have disabled the aircond (Cold air) during winter and it will only blow warm air. With that, we were advised to turn off the aircond and we slept sweating as the temperature was not low enough for a great night sleep
- To maximize space, there wasn’t any proper hanging (wardrobe) area that we can use to hang our winter jackets
Overall (Summary)
- Great hotel for its location and with much local delights around. Service was great with great selection of breakfast. High floor view of city. Just too bad there wasn’t any cooling aircond we could use as the window was tight shut. Great room size for family which is a plus point. Happy to come back again perhaps in the summer next time. AAnonymous UserOverall, the experience was great. It's very close to the Sky City shopping mall and the convention center, making it convenient for getting around and shopping. The lobby and rooms are stylishly decorated with a great atmosphere. The bedding was clean and soft, providing a wonderful sleep experience. The only minor drawback was that the soundproofing was just average. In general, it offers excellent value for money and I recommend it to anyone traveling for business or leisure.

GGuest UserA grand old hotel, very pleasant to stay at. Though the decorations are old-fashioned, this makes the hotel a really charming place. The staff are extremely helpful and polite. The location is excellent: just remember to use the underground transit plaza when leaving the station, and take the Shengli Street exit. This is much easier than approaching at surface level, and will take you directly to the front gate.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with lots of amenities. Overall, a very elegant hotel, at an excellent price. Highly recommended.

The architectural aesthetics of the hotel are stunning. It doesn't strive for overt luxury but instead embodies a sense of understated, tranquil Eastern charm throughout. It blends the delicate grace of Jiangnan water towns with the elegant style of classical Ming and Qing architecture. Even in winter, the snow-covered northern landscape outside the windows creates a beautiful contrast with the warm, Zen-like atmosphere inside.
I was particularly impressed by the hotel's expression of culture and art, such as the origami art installation in the lobby, inspired by the Siberian tiger – it's creatively beautiful.
The hotel service maintains Banyan Tree's consistently high quality, but with an added layer of sincerity and warmth unique to Northeast China.
The hotel is quite large, offering 24-hour shuttle service. The best part is that in the frozen winter, you can experience a variety of ice and snow activities.
To put it simply: great decor, spacious rooms, attentive and warm service, plenty of ice and snow activities nearby that kids absolutely love. The breakfast selection is also extensive and very good.
