Great
YYilukaixuangeThis is the first night of the Fari trip. I arrived at Paris Airport in the morning and rented a car to the hotel. The hotel is close to the city center, but the road in front of the door is a one-way street. There are not many vehicles passing by and it is not noisy. The location is very good. The parking garage is not too big, the entrance is less than a little on the facade of the hotel, don't drive it, otherwise the one-way line will have to retrograde or detour. After arriving, ask Shangtai Garage entry method and then check in early. The service is standardized and the hygiene is impeccable.
MM45379****Just opposite the stadium, about 2 kilometers away from Lance Railway Station, half an hour walk, the room is very clean, the window is soundproofed, and you can sleep peacefully at night.
CChiuThe hotel is conveniently located next to the Reims train station, but reaching it was more challenging than expected. You need to exit the station through a specific platform exit that’s not easy to find, as there is little to no signage. We took the wrong exit, which added an extra 15 minutes to our walk to the hotel.
Upon arrival, we were quite surprised by the reception—or rather, the lack of a traditional one. It consists of just a small coffee table with a single computer, where one staff member manages both check-ins and check-outs while constantly running back and forth to assist guests. Initially, I thought this was just a secondary station and that a more formal reception area existed elsewhere, but that wasn't the case. I couldn’t understand how one staff member could handle all the guests with such limited resources, especially during busy periods. I suspect it could easily become chaotic during peak hours.
The room itself was quite small, and breakfast was not included in the rate. However, the hotel had an interesting offer: if we opted not to have housekeeping during our stay, they provided two complimentary glasses of champagne. We were happy with this arrangement, as we usually prefer not to have anyone enter our room during a short stay. We did enjoy our two glasses of champagne at the bar after dinner, which was a nice touch.
That said, with no breakfast included, there might be better value options available in the area. It's also worth noting that finding a place for breakfast near the hotel wasn’t easy, with limited options within a 5-minute walk.
TTravel maker 13Fantastic location right next to the cathedral !
Easy to get around the city center and many restaurants options near by.
The rooms are a bit old but considering the location it may be the best option in the area.
Highly recommended !
QQueenie ChanQThe room was quite spacious and included a mini-kitchen, though it only had a microwave oven and no cooking utensils. Breakfast was served at the rooftop restaurant, which had an outdoor dining area with a great view. However, the food was the same every day, with the only hot options being baked eggs, baked beans, and sausages. There was no drinking water in the room, but each floor had a water dispenser where you could fill up. Parking was available on the street outside the hotel.
GGuest UserDo consider staying at this hotel if you’re visiting Reims with a car. With a 7-minute drive from the city center, you get a more spacious room with facilities much more than a 3-star. We couldn’t manage to arrive on time for check-in, but they have kindly found out an alternative to work it out. Attached photo displays the outdoor patio to our room!
GGuest UserIdeally located hotel in the city center, surrounded by many restaurants. Parking available at the parking lot. The room card was deactivated several times. Decent breakfast. Slight noise disturbance due to the proximity of bars and restaurants, but nothing bothersome. Otherwise, everything was impeccable.
GGuest UserCheck-in at Hôtel des Arcades was easy, and the staff were helpful, friendly and very welcoming, which made a good first impression.
The room itself was fine, although it was warm. However, the bathroom was disappointing. Taking a shower felt a little like being in a caravan, with the curtain touching the toilet, and once the shower had been used the toilet area was wet. The door also did not close properly.
Overall, the hotel could definitely do with some TLC. Given its location in such a great city, a few thoughtful touches, such as photographs or local artwork on the walls, would really help give the place more character and make it feel more connected to its surroundings.
CC. GellingsSimple, and practical for a short stay. Quiet surroundings. Parking near the entrance, breakfast in the main building, which was acceptable. Bathroom had a bath and shower in it. The glass to avoid splashing doesn't work, since it is far too small and the bathroom floor gets wet and one risks falling.
In all not a bad hotel for the price charged.
DDr.HeinkeThe hotel is very good in the old town and is easy to find . The spa does not appear to be the hotel but is located in the same house and at 14:00 so we could not use it.
Reception so friendly professional fast.
We haven't used breakfast because you can immediately get a French breakfast in the street cafe.
There is a parking space unusable for us because we arrived. But the hotel reception has made it possible to find another. Overall we have very well sleeped the air conditioning was also well set.
