The resort of 8 rooms is half an hour drive from Takano Mountain and a row of cherry trees at the door! The room is spacious, with a terrace and a small yard, you must live together, great! The room was very spacious and traditional. The bathroom had a japanese bath which we appreciated very much. The monks were very welcoming and nice, they explained everything. We also attended the morning prayer at 7 am. Overall it was a great experience. The dinner and breakfast were delicious.

The room was located in a stunning and truly beautiful temple. The person who welcomed us was incredibly kind and, the next morning, gave us a full tour of the temple and its different areas. The room was a bit cold in January but amazing, and the public baths were not always very convenient, but the hot onsen at the end of the day, along with the friendliness and authentic atmosphere, made the experience truly wonderful.

A short walk from Ekoin, very hospitable and friendly service. Room is big and clean with heater provided. Public bath is big but there’s only one so have to reserve slot. They have fire goma ritual everyday for guests and also sutra writing for free provided. Very recommended temple stay!
