"Everything is fine and trouble-free. Impeccable service. Bed/pillow comfort is beyond imaginable. Thoroughly planned and decorated interiors. Breakfast was rich and not annoying for our 5-day stay. Wellness centres is just fine: relaxing pool and sunbeds, delicious energy tea, saunas etc. Everything is close and handy: ski rental across the street, ski school and beginners' slope next door. Overall, Peio resort is more boutique than Passo del Tonale, for instance. As pitfalls I can mention a poor quality of WiFi and unclear working hours of outdoor jacuzzi."

"Let's start with the most interesting aspect of the hotel: the building itself! It is a truly beautiful, well-maintained historic building that evokes the splendour of Belle Époque travel. The dining and breakfast room is spectacular. A definite plus was the upgrade from a standard room to a junior suite, which was very welcome. The room is honestly a mix: some beautiful historic pieces of furniture and others in horrible 1990s Italian style. A terrible sofa bed straight out of a 1990s furniture catalogue. Very nice, spacious marble bathroom. However, I don't think it can be considered a 5-star room, but rather a 4-star room. This is also because, as a rule in 5-star hotels, complimentary water and evening turndown service are provided, none of which are available at this hotel. The staff is a mix : some are kind and courteous (especially at restaurant), while others clearly did not attend a hotel school and treat you with arrogance (reception desk). On the plus side, the breakfast is satisfactory and the food is of good quality, although it is not at the level of a 5-star hotel. The dinner is of good quality, but the prices are crazy: much higher than the Italian average. For example, a glass of wine costs €17??? We're not in Cortina d'Ampezzo or at Badrutt hotel in St. Moritz. The SPA, known as the ‘new baths/Bagni nuovi’, is very pleasant. There are several outdoor pools and several relaxation rooms inside. I must say that the spa is very pleasant, but guests staying only one night should be aware that they can use it from 3 p.m. to 11 a.m. on the day of check-out. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but be aware of the prices because, in my opinion, they are disproportionate to what the hotel offers."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Garni Pegra for a week skiing. In fact we loved all of Ponte di Legno. Location is great for skiing and the village. A very short walk to the chairlift to the Ponte di Legno runs and the gondola to the Passo Tonale ski area. The hotel is very well fitted out and an efficient lift gives access to all floors including the large ski and boot store at -1 Our room had a balcony and a view to the passing gondola and the spectacular mountains. Admittedly room heating is only on a few hours a day but we found that perfectly fine and can well understand that there shoukd be standard settings rather than have guests turning all thermostats to full on! Shower room was also fine and shower water temperature and pressure were both good. We didn't need room service but we could see that the staff were hard working and very pleasant. The reception staff were great, including the manager who was very helpful to us in ordering a taxi to Milan for us when our scheduled transfer vehicle was late. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but what was available in the dining room looked fine to us. We also had a pasta meal at the hotel when we arrived which was very convenient. There are some very good and very reasonably priced restaurants within very easy walking distance. The last few days of our stay had the minor inconvenience of having a loud guest next door who was on the phone a lot and was very loud! The hotel construction is high quality but sound insulation is not great. A bit difficult and expensive to remedy that now of course. Overall, despite the reviews that some guests have left (maybe some complaints were justified but others seemed unreasonable) we were very happy here and are seriously thinking of booking the same resort and same hotel next year! We didn't see a better located hotel in P di L. We loved it!!"
