The owners and their parents at this guesthouse were incredibly kind. They not only provided us with a room, but also went out of their way to take care of everything for us; I felt so embarrassed! The environment was lovely, and there were plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby. We even went to the market to buy seafood, and they prepared tableware and a table for us, and even started a fire to steam the seafood for us. They also had homegrown fruits and vegetables in the backyard for us to eat, and they even gave my child popsicles. The guesthouse also had kittens; the owner's mother is very kind and feeds stray cats, adopting those abandoned by others. Having kittens added so much joy for my child. The sea-view room on Jinshiyu Island was my favorite among the three hotels and two guesthouses I stayed in during my trip to Weihai! You can see the sea and seaweed-thatched houses from your bed, with seagulls circling overhead from time to time. The sea sparkles under the setting sun – so idyllic! However, the disappointing breakfast was a huge disappointment. For a room costing over 800 yuan, each person only got a small steamed bun, a sweet potato, and a tiny piece of baby pumpkin. 😂
