"Just back from Mrs Chrysannas. The hotel was very pretty and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As we arrived late 1am, there was no-one to meet us, but our key and directions were left at the front door and we checked in fully the next day. The room was spacious, had a good sized balcony with sea view, but was in the shade all day and the room lacked storage for our clothes having just a wardrobe and only enough room in the drawers for underwear, so we lived out of our cases. The pool area was lovely but not so of you have children, as nothing for them except a shallow pool. The pool did not open until 10.30 so if you want an early morning swim you will be disappointed and closed at 7.30 for our 1st week but got earlier and earlier during our stay until it was closing at 6. This hotel advertises as quiet and tranquil and it was, but was lacking in atmosphere and could have done with some Cretan music at the bar and in the background at the restaurant area to remind us of where we were staying! The food. Well it was a bit hit and miss for us. Staying all inclusive we had a buffet for the meals. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of cooked or continental. but the cooked was cold by the time we reached the table with it. Lunch and dinner were uninspiring and we were offered some very fatty pork on at least 4 occasions. There was a lack of vegetables at the evening meal - thank goodness for the greek salad which I ate a lot of! Other reviews mentioned a bbq at the pool area during the day but all we were offered was sandwiches and cake. We ate out several times to get a more greek experience. The area was quiet, the village was small and a bit out of the way but the bus to Chania was frequent and cheap. Loved Chania!. Overall we enjoyed our stay but felt it could have been better"

"This is a very large resort, and the stay exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean; secondly, the overall environment of the resort is very beautiful, and the facilities are complete. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good when we went, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor pool; thirdly, the hotel includes two meals, and the food was plentiful and delicious; the staff at the front desk, restaurant, and rooms were all warm and polite; it's very close to the beach, making it a great place for a relaxing vacation. Highly recommended! 👍"

"This is not a 5 star hotel and does not even compete with 4 star Greek ones we have visited. We are 2 families of 8 with kids 8, 15, 18 & 20. We booked 3 rooms and this review is from all of us who thought the same. We know it’s school hols but have never seen a resort this heaving and crowded and we’ve always travelled in school holidays. This is a young family hotel. Would not say suitable for couples. Pros - [ ] Nice large pool - [ ] Great kids pools - [ ] Good water slides - [ ] Aesthetically pleasing looking hotel - [ ] Drinks good - [ ] Great snack bar and ice cream bar - [ ] Can help yourself to drinks at pool bar - [ ] Good aircon in rooms - [ ] Comfy bed - [ ] White party DJ was good but randomly party only lasted an hour - [ ] Great fans at outside eating area Cons - [ ] Beach is stone and not pretty at all - [ ] Lounger situation on the beach not nice and cramped area (they could make it so much nicer) - [ ] Music blaring all day both sides of the pool and both different songs (one coming from bar and one from animation team) - [ ] Do not come here if you want any peace - [ ] Pool towels can only be changed every 3 days which is not good enough for 5 star hotel. Went to change them end of day 3 to be rudely shouted at that we cannot change them as it’s 3 day rule and we’ve only been here a day which was wrong! Eventually was allowed but such rude staff and stupid rule! - [ ] Rooms small - [ ] Hardly any storage, no chest of drawers or units just a wardrobe with not much room - [ ] Bathrooms very cramped and sweaty - [ ] Mirrors steam so you can’t see a thing after shower - [ ] Shower floods bathroom floor (Leak came from under the tray when you turn the shower off, Same in all 3 rooms) - [ ] If tall sitting on toilet is hard as your legs hit sink - [ ] Dirty marks on shower trays - [ ] Towels sometimes not changed even if left wet on floor and sometimes dirty towels left in our shower tray after room cleaned - [ ] Bed sheets and covers not changed once in 7 days - disgusting! - [ ] Mini bar - given a couple of bottles of water on first day, sandwiches as arrived late and 4 cans - never re stocked and leftover sandwiches/plates never taken away for whole 7 days. We asked for more water and about mini bar to be told it’s a mini fridge not a mini bar and no we can’t have any more not even water. To fill bottle up at water stations at dinner but the staff told us we were not allowed too and the water tasted awful! - [ ] Hardly any staff - [ ] Staff barely look at you and smile - [ ] First Greek hotel to not show you to a table at dinner or ever give you coffee at your table at breakfast - [ ] Buffet food not the best and repetitive - cold bolognese, food ran out quick and not replenished quickly none of us enjoyed it. Curry night the food was full of salt! - [ ] Tables/plates not cleared quickly at any meals due to lack of staff - [ ] Dirty floors in and outside at buffet not cleaned - [ ] Never seen a cleaner anywhere in grounds the"

"We stayed in a deluxe suite with a pool for 7 days. The room was somewhat run-down and felt quite old, unlike the photos online. Cleanliness was also subpar, likely due to the room's age. For example, there was mold in the grout between the bathroom sink and surrounding tiles, and the floor was cracked and always felt dirty. The sofa was white but very dirty, with faded colors and grime. The room's soundproofing was poor; we could hear conversations from upstairs in the bathroom. Furthermore, although the hotel advertised an all-inclusive package, they were very strict about bottled water and meal times. Each person was only allowed one bottle of water at a time, and it wasn't delivered; we had to get it ourselves from the bar. We were rushed around for meals if it was even slightly late, and the staff became quite rude. We had a small baby traveling with us, and although we requested a crib during booking and reminded the hotel via WhatsApp, there was no crib in the room. We waited over an hour after check-in before an extra crib was provided, disrupting the baby's sleep. In short, our experience with the hotel was subpar; the facilities, cleanliness, and service were not worth it."

Arrival & Accommodations Seamless Check-In: After a journey, the last thing you want is a drawn-out check-in process. Arrival here was an absolute breeze—swift, welcoming, and relaxed. Immaculate Rooms: Our room was stunning, immaculate, and beautifully decorated with modern touches. Effective Climate Control: A huge bonus was the air conditioning system; it was whisper-quiet yet powerful, blowing cold and high whenever needed to keep the room perfectly comfortable. Outstanding Staff & Personalized Hospitality The level of service here goes well beyond standard hospitality. Every single team member we encountered was consistently friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Main Restaurant Excellence: A massive shoutout to Ray and Van in the main restaurant for their attentive care, bright attitudes, and seamless service during meal times. Pool Bar Attention to Detail: Special recognition goes to Antonis at the pool bar for providing some of the best service I've ever experienced. I tended to order the same drinks at various points throughout the day, and after the first couple of times, Antonis had already memorized my preferences. As I walked toward the bar, he was already prepping my drink! That kind of intuitive, thoughtful attention to detail is incredibly rare. Guest Relations: Thank you to Katerina for her consummate professionalism and proactive guest relations management. She ensured every aspect of our stay ran smoothly. Food, Dining & The Spa Buffet Dining: The food was consistently delicious. The all-inclusive buffet is brilliantly curated. Rather than overwhelming guests with mountains of mediocre food that lead to unnecessary wastage, the hotel focuses on top-tier quality, beautiful presentation, and a fantastic balance of fresh, healthy options alongside regular favorites. Spa & Wellness: I decided to book a sports massage at the spa to try and address a painful, nagging shoulder issue I'd been dealing with. The therapist did a phenomenal job—by the end of the treatment, the pain was completely gone. Truly therapeutic work! Minor Points for Consideration To give an honest and balanced picture for future guests, there were a couple of minor areas that could be improved: À la Carte Steak: While the main buffet food was superb, our experience at the à la carte restaurant was a bit mixed. The beef steak I ordered was unfortunately quite gristly and fatty, which didn't quite live up to the high standards set by the rest of the culina"

"Just returned after 7 nights B&B at this wonderful resort and can’t recommend enough… Travelled with friends as well and we were upgraded complimentary to a swim up room upon check-in - a fantastic start ☺️ All facilities are top class including service in all aspects. Breakfast fantastic as well - high quality and presentation every morning. The resort is located approx 5-8 min from Platanias which easily can be reached via bus stop just outside main entrance (EUR 2 / person each way) or Taxi (EUR 12 each way) One of the last days one of our friends had a medical issue which was handled top professional by the staff and management - THANK YOU once again We will definitely come back and book Myrion Resort next time we choose Chania as destination and can only recommend you to do the same - Don’t hesitate one second ! "First time we booked directly a vacation address instead of using tour operations. What a great decision it was. Ideally situated a few minutes way from the beach and 10 walk from the town centre, a bus stop and supermarkets. The location has one of the best(not crowded) swimming pools we came across last 15 years not mention the beautiful garden. Some rooms have a sea view and are recommended to book at an additional cost and are absolutely worth these extra costs. Close to tourism and at the same far away from it when you want to keep away from it, this is a ideal spot to find your perfect vacation."

"It was my first time staying in an all-inclusive hotel. The hotel was modern and well decorated. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The restaurant was open at almost any time and there were basically no restrictions. The kids loved the water slide. Although it was not big, there were not many people and they could enjoy it. Unfortunately, the temperature was relatively low in early May and there was a strong wind. Although the outdoor swimming pool was beautiful, it was not very swimmable."

The attention to details is second to none and i would 100 percent stay there again . The staff penelope on reception and eddie who worked in the restaurant and bar were lovely and friendly . The location of the hotel is amazing as well as the food we ate one evening in the restaurant and the food was just amazing . Would definitely recommend this hotel 10/10"

"We had booked a two-week stay in a standard one-room apartment and were assigned room 1152. We got almost no sleep the first two nights due to noise from a pool pump. After complaining repeatedly to both the hotel and Apollo—neither of whom was particularly accommodating or responsive to our grievance—we were offered what they claimed was the only available room. They couldn't provide an apartment, only a double room (1253) located below street level, just five meters from the sidewalk on the main road in Platanias. This room could best be described as a basement unit; it had small windows and a terrace exposed to so much traffic and street noise that one had absolutely no desire to spend time there. At check-in, you are required to pay a tourist tax equivalent to that of a 5-star hotel. The hotel is well-situated near the beach. Yes, there are fitness and spa/wellness facilities, and undoubtedly some nice rooms as well. However, many rooms clearly reflect a priority on maximizing space utilization; consequently, there are numerous units—tucked under staircases or into awkward corners—that are likely worse than what you would find in a 2-star hotel."

There was only a hand held shower there, the hob was rusty and no toiletries apart from hand wash. Very disappointing! Needs lots of TLC and modernising.
