"This is my third time visiting Shimoda in Izu, and I've chosen this hotel all three times. While it's small, it's incredibly convenient, being just a one-minute walk from both the train and bus stations. What's even better is that their website states no breakfast is provided, but they actually offer a complimentary breakfast, which is a really nice touch. If I come to Shimoda again, I'll definitely pick this hotel."

"The hotel is located in a secluded area and it takes more than four hours to drive from Narita Airport, but once you enter, you will feel that it is well worth it. The environment is elegant and comfortable, the room is clean and spacious, and the private bath is great! Dinner and breakfast the next day were both served in the hotel restaurant. The ingredients were fresh and abundant, especially the famous local golden eye sea bream dishes. "

"The room was surprisingly large in Japan, probably because it's a Japanese-style tatami room, with room for multiple tatami mats. Room: Spacious enough, the floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the ocean and park, a real plus. The door opens with a key, and if it's unlocked, it can be opened from the outside, so be mindful of safety. Access: Near the Kaiyu Park-mae bus stop, but the bus only runs a few times a day and there's no shuttle. Alternatively, you can walk to Shimoda Station, which is about a 20-minute walk along the national highway. At night, it's dark and unlit, so be mindful of traffic. Surroundings: 7-Eleven and Sukiya are both within walking distance, making it convenient for stocking up. There's a park downstairs with a beautiful lawn, perfect for taking photos. Facilities: This is quite old, so the facilities are only average. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, but there is in the common areas. Since there's no Wi-Fi, the TV doesn't have internet access, so it's basically unusable. The hot water takes a while to come on, and the bathroom is a pure Japanese design, with a low showerhead and a small bathtub that requires a small stool for washing. Whether you like it or not depends on personal preference. Onsen: There are large, indoor baths with separate men's and women's baths. There are windows overlooking the outside, but the view isn't very clear. The water quality feels similar to hot springs in China. There are two massagers, which I tried and found to be more comfortable than those in China, providing some relief."

"It was the best place where my wife and I had ever rested. And the hotel and the whole city of Shimoda is a paradise. We liked absolutely everything. And the hotel employee - Kaori, is an exceptional nature person. She gives her work 200% and is the heart of this hotel. Thanks to her scrupulousness, sensitivity and care, there was a feeling that my mother was taking care of us in the hotel. We will definitely come back again! We advise everyone to visit this city and this beautiful hotel at least once. "This was my first time visiting Minamiizu, and a friend recommended this hotel – it truly lived up to expectations! The accommodations were great, and the food was delicious. My only complaint is regarding the shuttle service. The day before check-in, I specifically asked about pickup details through Trip.com customer service. The hotel only sent a text message with the pickup time, but not the location. I assumed, like most hotels, that it would pick up in front of the JR station. To my surprise, I waited from 2 PM to 3 PM and saw no sign of the hotel bus. I started to feel something was wrong and checked Trip.com, where I saw a guest comment mentioning that after 3:10 PM, there would be no more pickups. Panicked, I immediately called the hotel. That's when I learned the hotel bus has a specific waiting point, around the corner, to the right of the JR station (and then to the right again). If this isn't communicated beforehand, and there are no signs at the station, it's impossible for guests to know where to wait. Therefore, I strongly suggest the hotel standardize its pickup service by clearly stating both the pickup time and location in advance. Both pieces of information are essential!"

"Очень уютный отель, домашняя атмосфера, создаётся ощущение что приехал в ”деревню к бабушке”, только в Японию 😁 Удобства все отличные, достаточно санузелов, нигде не тесно, очень чисто! Вид с окон восхитительный! Кондиционеры в каждом номере! Постельное белье чистое и свежее, предоставляют халат и тапочки. Есть фен, стиральная машина. В общем всё замечательно! Единственное что не супер - это распоряжение, тяжеловато по жаре пешком подниматься в гору 600 метров с дороги."
