"Our room was on the second floor with a king-sized bed. The sofa bed needed to be made up by ourselves, and there was no duvet, only one blanket provided, with another blanket in the closet, which was generally sufficient. There was parking available in the yard. For the second-floor room, luggage had to be carried up an outdoor staircase. My friend stayed in a first-floor room with a queen-sized bed and a 0.9m bed. Their balcony opened directly onto the roadside, which felt a bit unsafe. A common characteristic of motels along the Great Ocean Road is the lack of curtains, with roller blinds used instead, which aren't great for blocking out light. Our room had an induction cooker and pots, but my friend's room didn't. At nearly 1500, it was also the most expensive accommodation on our Great Ocean Road trip."

It would be better if you could let us know in advance."

"This was a good stopover on our Great Ocean Road trip. The room had a great view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side, with strong winds and rough seas the day we arrived. Apollo Bay has plenty of food options, so you don't need to worry about finding a meal when driving yourself. My only complaint is that I didn't see any hotel staff during our entire stay, so the service was practically non-existent. Also, parking in the courtyard is quite limited."
