GUEST HOUSE SUGINOYA
Yuruino Yado Keizan
"The facility is old, but it was clean and there were no problems. The staff were smiling and cheerful, which made me feel comfortable."
Kichiya
"The hotel is a bit old, but the hot springs are excellent. The location is a bit remote, so it's more convenient if you're driving. Both breakfast and dinner were very good!"
Otogitei Kofu
"Good service, good food, good stay and wonderful star journey."
Gekkabijin
"It was a wonderful starry sky. I watched it for a while with the telescope I brought to the parking lot. But it was cold and I took a telescope to my room and enjoyed the starry sky from the veranda until late at night."
Oogute Kohan Shirasagi So
"A great location for star gazing. We originally planned to go to Achi Village Sky Park to watch the stars, but on the way to the hotel we found that this place is more suitable for star watching. There is no light pollution, and we can see many more stars than usual, and some small stars can also be seen. There is a lake outside the hotel, and there are net beds, chairs, an observatory, etc. around the lake; this is a hotel, but there are also camping sites for rent outside. You can also enjoy fireworks nearby at night. A very good environment, but the curfew at 10pm is too early... The room is large and the sleep is very comfortable. Dried fruit snacks are provided and you can take a bath until 10pm in the evening."
Yamaboshi
"Breakfast and dinner were both very good! The food was fresh."
Yumoto Hotel Achikawa
"The hotel is bigger than expected, with special cave hot springs, indoor hot springs, and large hot spring pools. The surrounding natural environment is very good, and you can see the starry sky at night."

"Terrible! Not recommended! One night's stay included two meals. Dinner was extremely salty; the pan-fried fish was incredibly salty and had many bones, making it inedible. I had to drink water constantly after dinner. All public spaces in the hotel were poorly lit, dark, and lifeless, greatly spoiling my vacation mood! The staff were polite and tried their best to explain using iPads and body language."
Sizukanaoyado Kagami
"We were traveling by car and arrived after dark on the day of check-in. It was a pity that we didn't enjoy their open-air hot spring. The location and environment are both good. It is a very quiet forest environment. The owner gave us a roll of tape to stick 🐛🐞"
KUROTAKE-Luxury Retreat, Hirugami
"An antique hot spring hotel, the room is large enough clean, hot spring pool is very comfortable, but the hotel has no facilities, and breakfast is general, nearby convenience stores and supermarkets are not, we did not eat dinner in the hotel, breakfast is relatively simple semi-buffet form, just want to be in the room"
Keigetsu Nicchoan
"📍 Hotel Keigetsu 信州昼神温泉郷 日長庵 桂月 @ Hirugami Onsen, Nagano 🇯🇵 We stayed 3D2N from 13 November 2025 at Hotel Keigetsu (日長庵 桂月), and it turned out to be one of the best choices for our Nakasendo trip. The ryokan sits in a peaceful corner of Hirugami Onsen, surrounded by nature and traditional Japanese charm. There is a designated parking area exclusively for guests, accommodating around 15-20 cars of all sizes, making it very convenient for self-drive travellers. We chose a Japanese-style room with a private bathroom, and the highlight was the beautiful wooden bathtub — perfect for a relaxing soak in complete privacy. In the mornings, the view from our room was calm and peaceful, with gentle bird chirping adding to the serene atmosphere. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, and both meals were exceptional. Each dish was beautifully prepared using seasonal ingredients, and the servers were patient and friendly, taking time to explain each course and share stories about local flavours. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced the dining experience. The ryokan is within walking distance to the Morning Market, just about 10 minutes away, making it an enjoyable little morning stroll. There is also a FamilyMart right beside the ryokan, just a short walk away — extremely convenient for drinks, snacks, or last-minute essentials during your stay. The staff also introduced several nearby activities and hiking trails, and the routes are super visitor-friendly, making this ryokan an ideal base for exploring the Nakasendo area. The onsen baths were another highlight — soothing, clean, and filled with Hirugami’s famously smooth, skin-friendly hot spring water. Perfect for unwinding every evening. Overall, Hotel Keigetsu offers excellent food, warm service, relaxing onsen, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable convenience, whether you’re here for onsen relaxation or the Nakasendo trail. Highly recommended for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable ryokan stay in Nagano. ♨️🍁🌿✨"

"The location, food and hot springs are all great, it has a high CP value and is worth recommending!"

"I visited in mid-November, so there were no flowers blooming in the surrounding area, but there are peach blossom trees planted around the hotel, making it a wonderful location in April when the flowers bloom. The rooms are clean and the views from the rooms are great, a treat for the eyes. Next time, I'd like to stay in early April when the flowers are in bloom."
Fudo Onsen Hanabishi
"[Scenery] I visited during the spring and cherry blossoms. The altitude of the inn is about 1000m, so when I drove up the pass from the foot of the mountain, I enjoyed the cherry blossoms at the foot of the mountain, the cherry blossoms at the foot, the cherry blossoms in full bloom, the three-minute bloom around the inn, and the cherry Beside the inn, there was a beautiful river of water and the scenery was good. [Hot spring] It feels slimy when soaked in hot water in a high alkaline spring. My skin has become smooth. The bathtub is large and there is also an open-air bath outside. [Room] It was an old-fashioned Japanese inn room, but it was good that each room was fully air-conditioned and the room temperature could be set according to your preference. [Meals] Dinner is a table with a hearth, and you can eat freshly baked Yamame, chicken, eggplant, potatoes, onions, etc. in front of you by charcoal. The mushrooms were also delicious with butter baked and inobe."
