I had a wonderful stay overall, and while there are a few areas where the hotel can step up its game, the foundation is absolutely there for this to become an exceptional property. 🏨 The Hardware & Facilities (Top-Notch!) On the physical side of things, the hotel completely delivers. The rooms are comfortable and well-designed, the gym is well-equipped for a holiday workout, and the swimming pool area is beautiful—perfect for soaking in the quiet energy of the region. 🍳 Food & A Soothing Morning Ritual The culinary experience was a highlight. The food quality was solid, and the local flavors were genuinely delicious. But my absolute favorite part of the morning was the outdoor breakfast area, where they offer fish feeding. Watching the fish move gracefully through the water while enjoying breakfast was incredibly calming and set a beautiful, soothing tone for the day. 🌱 Areas for Growth: Service & Sustainability To truly elevate this hotel to a 5-star luxury standard, there are two areas I’d love to see improve: Eco-Friendly Amenities: In a pristine destination like Banyuwangi, sustainability matters. Currently, the hotel is still using single-use plastic containers for bathroom amenities. Shifting toward refillable dispensers or biodegradable alternatives would align beautifully with the natural essence of the area. Staff Guidance: The young team members have incredible potential and are clearly eager, but they just need a bit more structured guidance and hospitality training. With the right leadership, this passionate young staff could easily turn good service into an exceptional guest experience. 🗺️ The Verdict Overall, I will absolutely come back! "- Please improve the soundproofing of the rooms in the future, as it's very disruptive: 1. The noise from neighboring rooms is extremely loud and easily audible. 2. Street noise is like watching an F1 circuit race in the middle of the night 🤦. I couldn't sleep all night. - The room's AC won't get cold unless it's set to the absolute coldest temperature and highest fan speed. We woke up in the middle of the night hot and sweaty, even though the temperature was set to 21 degrees with a fan speed of 3. After checking, the air coming out felt only about 20% cool. - Why isn't the shower screen full-sized? It's very inconvenient for showering because if the water pressure is a bit strong, it spills out and wets the entire bathroom floor outside the shower. - Please add a light above the desk in the room, either a ceiling light or a desk lamp. The room is always dark, and it's too dim if you need to use the desk."

"We stayed at this hotel for three days while moving from Bali to Java. Overall, the hotel has a good location, close to the port. To get from the port, be sure to contact the hotel directly, as Grab is not available; they'll send a car to you. The room is spacious and has a shared hallway. The bathroom is tired, and there's no proper window, so unless you close the bathroom door, you can clearly hear all the loud noises from the street. There are also some issues with housekeeping: the only linens they change are pillowcases. On the plus side, I'd like to mention the hotel staff, especially the receptionists. They were always friendly, helped with finding transportation, and suggested people to contact for excursions. Thank you so much! They're the best. When traveling, keep in mind that the main street near the hotel gets very congested after lunch, so allow extra time. The breakfasts were good; we never left hungry, and the hotel grounds are pleasant. For dinner, I recommend Ikan Bakar Pesona Banyuwangi."

"It's really fun here. It's cheap even though it's hard to find food. If you order food from room service, it turns out that it's cooked at Margo Utomo Evo Resort, so it takes more than 1 hour just for fried noodles. If it's not cheap, I probably won't come here again 😅"
