Amazing
AAnonymous UserBeautiful hotel in a great location, within walking distance of most old town attractions and round the corner from a metro station making it even better!! Staff can't do enough for you and the whole place is welcoming and beautiful.
Breakfast set in lovely dining area with plenty of choice from a menu so served to you without having to wait for the toaster! Rooms are luxurious and have everything you may need, including a very comfortable bed!
GGuest UserThis hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town. The building itself, according to the hotel's description, dates back to the 16th century. It's truly a unique experience to stay in such a historically rich setting while enjoying modern minimalist decor, especially given its superb location in the old town's core. What particularly stood out was the hotel's pool, which directly overlooks Porto Cathedral – an absolutely unforgettable sight.
Rrambler25Fantastic central location - couldn't have asked for better. The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff were brilliant - friendly faces and efficient with everything we asked for. What really makes this place special though is the building itself. It's stunning with gorgeous architectural details. The interior design is elegant without being stuffy. All in all, a real gem that ticks all the boxes for comfort, service and style.
TTravelang88Hotel is centrally located near to Sao Bento station and can walk to most attractions like the clerigos and cathedral. There are also several food options available. The only downside is there’s not much amenities. The gym is pretty small and no swimming pool
GGuest UserThe hotel had great service, including hotel information at the front desk! The breakfast area overlooks the city of Porto and has a great view. This is not limited to this hotel in Portugal, but there are no slippers or toothbrushes in the room, so you need to bring your own. If I have the opportunity, I would like to stay in an upgraded room.
YYouzijingxinThe hotel rooms are spacious.
Problems that need to be pointed out: The hard plastic on the hair dryer is somewhat sticky due to aging; there were obvious oil stains on the two pillowcases on the day of check-in; although the sheets covering the quilt were clean, there were two obvious holes; for double occupancy, small face towels were provided There is only one (we brought our own small face towel); the hot water bottle has residual water from the previous guest that has not been poured out.
PPassporttoPalateThis hotel was recommended by a friend and I would happily stay again, or in their other locations. The staff were friendly; the hotel was neat and clean. The rooms spacious enough, so you did not feel cramped in any way. The hotel has a pool, outdoor and indoor, and a small room with some gym equipment (but no room to spread of a gym mat out). There was some construction happening on the side street next to the hotel but it didn't bother us; the work stopped in the early evening.
The hotel is well located as well; easy waking distance to the square with lots of places to eat, and a few nice rooftop bars. You are a close walk to the market - which I would recommend eating your way through one afternoon, and close to the subway line if you wish to get further afield.
MM16182****1. The hotel's decor was nice; I saw it while passing by. However, the room's interior decor was just average.
2. The service was poor. I had to get my toothbrush and slippers from the front desk; they wouldn't deliver them if I called.
3. Around 9:20 PM, a staff member entered my room without knocking. Luckily, I was still asleep. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in recent years.
GGuest UserThe staff is always friendly and willing to help, top grades to them! The location has plus and minus. Unless your in one of the cabs that has special permission to enter Flores street, you are going to have to haul bags from a fair distance. Once there, it’s close to many cool things by foot. The rooms are a bit dated, but hey, it’s a 500 year old building! Highly recommend visiting the garden!
