Holiday Inn Express BODMIN - VICTORIA JUNCTION by IHG ★★★
"The room was clean and tidy, but some areas, like the bathroom walls, had holes and damage. The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast quality was decent. There's an outdoor car park for £6 a night, and a petrol station, fast food, and supermarket nearby, making it very convenient. It's a convenient hotel for visiting various attractions in Cornwall."
The Carlyon Bay Hotel and Spa ★★★★
"Lovely place and great staff. Sadly, you can hear every word of the neighbouring rooms conversations at night. Oh and near £8 for a pint of an ale or £18 for a cocktail in Cornwall is absurd."
St. Austell ★★★
"Air con is desperately needed. The rooms are unbearably hot. There were a lot of very exhausted guests through lack of sleep"
The Kingswood ★★★
"Staffs are very friendly, atmosphere very chill and food from the restaurant taste great and fresh."
Rashleigh Arms ★★★★
"Spent 3 days here on a bed and breakfast basis. Room was spacious and in an annex outside the main building so nice and quiet. Breakfast was very good with a substantial choice. Drinks were expensive (especially wine) and food in the evening was the usual pub faire, would have been nice to have a pasta and salad option. Charlestown was lovely and the hotel is well situated for the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Overall a good stay and would recommend this hotel."
Pinetum Garden Cottages ★★★★
Travelodge Bodmin Roche ★★★
"First tip the Travelodge is set from the road so from the A30 take the services junction with McDonald’s and Holiday Inn Express but the Travelodge is not there take the Road around to Victoria Roche and station. The lodge gives you very large room and en-suite with a bath. The place is clean the bed is comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and efficient. Only minor point no USB socket so take a plug."
Pier House ★★★
"The location is very good, just at the port, the beach (graved stones) is out. The first floor is the restaurant and bar, and the room is upstairs. The room is very small and can't open the suitcase, but the facilities are quite complete, the bathroom is very good, there is a small refrigerator and coffee machine, free two bottles of local Lag beer. The hotel belongs to the St Austell brewery Winery, and the restaurant offers a variety of beer, wine, aperitifs, and local cuisine."

"Fantastic chicken burger and shrimp poe boy. Lovely staff. Definitely worth a visit. Doggy friendly too. Thanks for a great lunch. Everything was freshly cooked. Nothing frozen here. Looked after the pooch too. Great view over the harbour a real suntrap."
Eden's Rest
"Ian, the host at Eden Rest, was the most helpful person I have ever experienced at a B&B. He contacted me direct before my trip and left a phone number. After 4 hours online trying to find out info for our trip he was able to answer all my questions in less than 10 mins. On our arrival he picked us up from the station ( we had no car), gave us all the information we needed about buses to and from venues we wanted to visit and on our last day, when we weren’t able to get a bus back to the station in time for our train he kindly came and picked us up. Our room was ‘cosy’. Ian had told us it would be a bit of a tight squeeze but it did not matter at all because everything else was perfect: cleanliness, efficiency, excellent breakfast, friendliness and Ian went out on a limb to help us make the most of our stay and if he couldn’t answer a question from us he went off to research it and came back a short time later with the answer. Thank you so much Ian. If we ever have cause to travel to that part of Cornwall again, you will most definitely be our first choice for accommodation. Warm wishes Barbara and Florentina"
The Waterwheel
"Our stay at the Water wheel was perfect. Staff very friendly and professional. Breakfast was beautiful. We have no hesitation in recommending Water wheel to other guests. Would gladly stay again."
Bradleigh Lodge
"Wow…. What a find! Lyn and Martin were wonderful hosts. We stayed a week with our daughter and her boyfriend. We had two rooms side by side that shared a private balcony. The rooms were amazing and had everything you could wish for, we had a very sunny week so the balcony was a real luxury, it included a little mini fridge! Perfect for those evening beers. Breakfast was warm, welcoming and always lovely. Lyn made a fuss of us every day. Martin was really helpful with lots of local information and he even kindly took the boys up to the brewery for their tour! (Us girls had abandoned them in preference of a wildlife park!) The property is well placed to visit many of the wonderful places in Cornwall, Charlestown, Mevagissey, St Michael’s Mount, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Tingagel Fowey and many more. I would recommend this beautiful home from home in a heart beat. Thank you."

"A chilled weekend away from the hustle n bustle of the city, for three days of hiking on the coast path. The location is perfect for hiking, 5-10 min walk to the harbour, shops and eateries, and 10min to the bus stop. Regular busses (even on the weekend and out of season) take you to the main attractions in the area. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating, also making sure my lactose and wheat intolerance was catered for. The breakfast was the best I had in a long time. I booked directly through their website which gave me an additional discount. Can absolutely recommend, and will be back again."
