"Right across Lake Suwa and walking distance to Kamisuwa station. Hotel compound was big. Loved the zen garden. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Enjoyed the free outdoors foot bath, and the indoor onsen was huge. Wonderful stay overall. Do note that single rooms do not have lake views."

"There's no elevator, no staff, and the facilities are quite old. To put it simply, the options for visiting this tourist hotspot are extremely limited. Shopping and dining options nearby are very inconvenient, and the hotel check-in process is entirely self-service; I didn't see a single staff member until I checked out, haha. The price of around 200 RMB is not bad, quite cost-effective, and you can see the lake just across the street."

"Standard Japanese service, attentive and attentive; the only downside was the language barrier. Breakfast and dinner were incredibly lavish, with breakfast served course after course. It happened to be during the fireworks festival, so it wasn't crowded, but the atmosphere was lively."

"The hotel service was excellent. A very experienced gentleman greeted me upon check-in. Although we didn't speak the language, I learned about all the hotel's information and facilities. The free public onsen is open 24 hours, and they even reminded me of the changed breakfast hours. I also managed to book a private onsen room with them. We checked in on a Monday, and the hotel wasn't crowded, so booking a private onsen room was easy. A 45-minute session cost only 1000 yen, which was very friendly to hotel guests. Furthermore, we arrived very late, and the hotel had already turned down the bed, which was fantastic! 👍🏻 I barely had to unpack anything; after changing and soaking in the onsen, I could seamlessly transition to sleep. This was my best night in Japan! 😆😆 (Except for the slight woody smell from the wooden room, which I found a little unusual)"

"I use it when I go hiking in the Yatsugatake Mountains. It's small, but there are many restaurants nearby, so it's convenient if you're traveling by car."

"This hotel is located on the lake. When we visited there, the weather was very bad, raining, windy, and cold. The hotel provided a free boat trip pass starting at 2:30 pm. As we arrived in the hotel quite early, before noon, we left our luggage at the lobby and went out to see the lake. It was a peaceful lake with some people walking, jogging, and riding a bike. We had lunch at the hotel lobby after purchasing some snacks at the Lawson. After check in the hotel, we went to the room, Japanese and western style. The room was big compared to other rooms. We had onsen in the six floor of the hotel. The outside pool was good as we can overlook the view of the lake. The lake cruise was so terrible due to wind and rain. What is funny is that there is no windows and doors to protect us from the strong wind. So it was bad experience due to weather and poor service of the boat. Dinner and next morning breakfast were fantastic as the food quality and service were carefully managed. One thing to mention is that I had to visit the hotel after checking out because we left a package purchased from the Daio Wasabi Farm in the refrigerator. I came back to hotel to pick it up by trains, but I was glad that the hotel office kept my package. I would like to visit this hotel again."
