I highly recommend the Japanese-Western style rooms; they're more updated and offer a more spacious, free-flowing layout. "For the price, I expected a bit more. The food and onsen were good, and the service was very good. However, the room felt off, it was warm in autumn, the air purifier looks not premium, and when I checked whether I could open the window, I noticed the upper window frame was quite dusty. There were also no additional amenities provided. For this price point, in this area and on a non-touristy date, I think it could have been better."

"The open-air bath overlooks Lake Suwa, the Japanese-style space surrounded by plaster walls features Hida furniture, comfortable bedding, and the highlight of this inn is the food. The refined Japanese cuisine based on locally produced ingredients was delicious. Not only the dinner but also the breakfast was delicious and I could feel the effort put into making it a visual treat. The staff's consideration was also very pleasant, and it was an inn I would like to visit again."

"The old lady in the restaurant was very welcoming. She stayed in a Japanese-style room and laid the floor while I was having dinner. You can reach the best spot for watching fireworks within ten minutes of walking. It takes about 40 minutes to walk from Tateishi Park Observation Deck. Coffee in the lobby is free for a limited time."
