"This hotel is located on the lake. When we visited there, the weather was very bad, raining, windy, and cold. The hotel provided a free boat trip pass starting at 2:30 pm. As we arrived in the hotel quite early, before noon, we left our luggage at the lobby and went out to see the lake. It was a peaceful lake with some people walking, jogging, and riding a bike. We had lunch at the hotel lobby after purchasing some snacks at the Lawson. After check in the hotel, we went to the room, Japanese and western style. The room was big compared to other rooms. We had onsen in the six floor of the hotel. The outside pool was good as we can overlook the view of the lake. The lake cruise was so terrible due to wind and rain. What is funny is that there is no windows and doors to protect us from the strong wind. So it was bad experience due to weather and poor service of the boat. Dinner and next morning breakfast were fantastic as the food quality and service were carefully managed. One thing to mention is that I had to visit the hotel after checking out because we left a package purchased from the Daio Wasabi Farm in the refrigerator. I came back to hotel to pick it up by trains, but I was glad that the hotel office kept my package. I would like to visit this hotel again."

"The hotel was quiet and the scenery was beautiful. The first time we dined there, we were given a choice of chopsticks, and to our surprise, they were still provided the same chopsticks the next day! This small detail showed the hotel's meticulous and high-quality service. The food was also very thoughtful; the exquisite dishes and the ritualistic process made our meal a truly enjoyable experience. The waitress even made the leftover salmon and egg rice balls, wrapped them in lotus leaves, and delivered them to our room – such a thoughtful touch! Definitely worth a return trip."

Katakura Silk Hotel
"We stayed in a snowy winter. We were assigned a corner room on the third floor, right in front of Lake Suwa, and the view was great. If you stay on the second floor, you might be bothered by people on the road or the promenade. The room was spacious, and the towels etc were of very good quality. It was disappointing that we had to request a bathrobe and that there was no floor heating in some areas. The hot spring in the room felt smaller than expected, but the hot spring in winter is still the best. There is no large public bath, but you can use the facility next door, but it was too cold to walk outside, so we gave up. The food was heavy for us, so we left it. We knew that we couldn't wear yukata when leaving the room, but it was still inconvenient. It was a small hotel, so I wish they had some stylish indoor wear."
Kirigamine Kogen Ryokan Futabaya
"There was no bus from JR station to the site, and it was scattered about \ 13000 for the taxi fare, and it was about 30 minutes by Alpico transportation bus in the guide, but it was a pity (> _ <)"
Kamisuwa Station Hotel
"The room is clean and tidy. Easy to find. Close to the lake"
Hotel Lalba Suwako
"The Lalba Suwako Hotel, barely a 20-minute walk from the train station, about ten minutes from the castle, and a stone's throw from the beautiful shores of Lake Suwa, enjoys a very good location and is easy to find. Unpretentious and with a discreet entrance, especially compared to its imposing neighbors, the hotel doesn't make great pretensions but offers everything one would expect: a pleasant welcome, clean and comfortable rooms, access to well-maintained baths that can be privatized for 45 minutes per room per night, and an optional, delicious and comprehensive breakfast. We very much appreciated this simple hotel, which represents excellent value for money. Thank you very much for the welcome!"
KKR Suwakoso
"Great place"
HOTEL Lafonteine Suwa
"This price is a bit expensive for the countryside."
Hotel la Fontaine
"The hotel seemed very dated but not particularly dirty. The check in was very easy and uncomplicated without needing assistance (even offered different languages). The location was great, only 2 min walking from the lakeside. The bed and pillows were not the most comfortable. It was acceptable for the price. The AC was not cooling the room properly."
Ryosou Futaba
"The exterior is quite old, but the rooms have been renovated, and the toilet, sink, air conditioner, and bed were new, clean, and well-maintained. The hot spring bath is a bit dated, but it's very clean and well-maintained. There doesn't seem to be a meal service, but there are plenty of good restaurants near the station, so finding breakfast and dinner isn't a problem. Being close to Lake Suwa, we were able to see the fireworks, which was great. The location was very convenient. Overall, I think it was a very good place to stay."
