Hotel Saginoyu ★★★
"The room was clean and the hot spring was excellent."
HOTEL Lafonteine Suwa ★★
"Facilities: Very complete, clean and tidy, great environment, and the staff are very nice and enthusiastic."
Hotel Beniya ★★★
"The hotel is within walking distance of the station, the room was clean, and all the staff were friendly; overall, it was a great experience. The lake view was especially wonderful. The weather was hot, so it was a bit of a hassle to go out, but just looking at the lake from the room was lovely. I am leaving with wonderful memories of Lake Suwa and Hotel Beniya from my summer vacation."
Nunohan ★★★
"Location: Right by the lake, with fantastic views. There's a Lawson convenience store and a highly-rated grilled eel restaurant nearby. Room: The Japanese-style family room was excellent, a blend of modern and traditional styles, comfortable and stylish. Onsen: There's an onsen on the first floor of the hotel, with both indoor and outdoor pools, very convenient. We soaked in the onsen after our hike up the hill, which was incredibly relaxing. Service: The service was the best part. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and even helped us call a taxi. The hotel also offers electric-assisted bicycle rentals for only 1000 yen for two hours. We cycled around the lake the next day, a fantastic experience!"
Hamanoyu ★★★★
"The old hotel's renovations made the layout a bit confusing, with the flow from the lobby to the elevators and restaurant being somewhat unclear. Otherwise, the building was beautifully renovated, clean, and well-maintained, with excellent facilities. Breakfast was served in the restaurant, with each room assigned a small table. The Japanese-style kaiseki bento box, salad, side dishes, and dessert were served buffet-style, and both the portion size and taste were very satisfying. This was a weekday visit, but I would like to return if the weekend prices are reasonable."
Comfort Inn Suwa Inter ★★★
"The room and bed were spacious enough for one person. I didn't have breakfast, but I had breakfast at the McDonald's next door."
Suhaku ★★★★
"I forgot something and they kept it for me until the third day, thanks!"
HOTEL ROUTE-INN KAMISUWA ★★★
"The bed in the room was too small. If your partner is tall, I would recommend choosing a double bed, otherwise it will be very uncomfortable to sleep in. The hotel has a hot spring bath, and it was practically empty; you could basically have the place to yourself."
Rako Hananoi Hotel ★★★
"Overall, the hotel is pretty good, but it's really far from the station and public transport isn't great. There aren't many restaurants or convenience stores nearby. For a tourist, I don't think it's worth coming all the way out here to stay."

Sui Suwako
"After thinking about it for a long time, I finally decided on this one. It's a little far from the station. If you have luggage, you need to take a taxi. There's nothing to say about the hardware or services. It's not big, there aren't many customers, and it's very quiet. There are two hot spring pools, indoor and outdoor, in the room. Let's talk about shortcomings. Perhaps the only thing is that the water temperature in the outdoor hot spring on the roof is not very high, and there are more bugs in this season."
Lupia Inn Nanko
"The building itself was old but well reformed and also clean and tidy. There was a nice desk in the room for work so it is good for workation. Morning buffet was also good. Staff members were kind. Public bath was little bit tiny but we liked it. About 10 min walk, there is Kami Suwa Station, Convwnience stores, local super market TSURUYA, and a drug store so you can grab some late night snacks there."
Katakura Silk Hotel
"Very satisfied 👍"
Hotel Lalba Suwako
"The Lalba Suwako Hotel, barely a 20-minute walk from the train station, about ten minutes from the castle, and a stone's throw from the beautiful shores of Lake Suwa, enjoys a very good location and is easy to find. Unpretentious and with a discreet entrance, especially compared to its imposing neighbors, the hotel doesn't make great pretensions but offers everything one would expect: a pleasant welcome, clean and comfortable rooms, access to well-maintained baths that can be privatized for 45 minutes per room per night, and an optional, delicious and comprehensive breakfast. We very much appreciated this simple hotel, which represents excellent value for money. Thank you very much for the welcome!"
Shibu No Yu
"Service: Very attentive. Although the front desk staff didn't speak Chinese or English, we managed to communicate well with the help of a translator. Food & Beverage: Dinner and breakfast were included in the room rate. Dinner was tasty and substantial. Breakfast, however, was quite standard and not really to Chinese tastes. Environment: The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the station and a 30-minute walk from Tateishi Park. We were also lucky enough to catch a fireworks festival on the day we checked in!"
Suwakoen
"It's a little far from the station, and there are no convenience stores nearby. You can stay in the hotel for two meals until you check out. The lake view room has a great view!"
