Great
ZZaixiangnianjiaqunaliI was traveling in Mallorca that day and due to some unforeseen circumstances, I booked this hotel last minute, snagging the very last room. It turned out to be the perfect choice. This hotel is very new; the general manager told me it only opened last October and was even closed for three months during winter for maintenance, so all the facilities and equipment are sparkling. The staff speak excellent English, the design aesthetic is spot-on, and there are so many photo opportunities and sights to see in the common areas. Breakfast was also exquisite. The front desk lady was beautiful, spoke great English, and provided excellent service – she was incredibly attentive. We had a lovely chat, and I told her I absolutely had to praise her on Chinese social media; I hope she gets to see this! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, parking is free and very convenient here; they'll even help you move your car and arrange a spot, which is actually quite rare in Mallorca.
DdavylegrandHotel Bendinat in Mallorca is one of those rare gems that feels like a home away from home. Having stayed here multiple times over the years, I can confidently say that it offers a perfect blend of understated luxury, Mediterranean charm, and tranquility.
The location is simply unbeatable—perched right on the coastline, with stunning views of the turquoise waters of the Bay of Palma. Waking up to the sound of the waves and having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea is something I look forward to every time I visit. The hotel’s lush gardens, with their towering palm trees and cozy lounge areas, create an atmosphere of total relaxation.
The rooms are elegantly designed in a classic Mediterranean style, with whitewashed walls, wooden accents, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Many of them come with private terraces, perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine in the evening. While the décor is timeless, the hotel has managed to maintain a fresh and well-kept feel over the years.
One of the highlights of every stay is dining at Las Terrazas de Bendinat, the hotel’s restaurant. Sitting right by the sea, it offers some of the best seafood dishes on the island. Their paella and grilled fish are a must-try, and the service is always warm and attentive. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a long, leisurely lunch with a view of the shimmering water.
Another reason I keep coming back is the atmosphere—Hotel Bendinat is peaceful, refined, and never overcrowded. Unlike larger resorts, it maintains a boutique, exclusive feel. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, taking
GGuest UserI arrived at hotel on8/9/25 for a 7 night stay it looked good on advert but don't recall ever seeing it . I used to go to Santa Ponsa very very regular but been some years since there .
Its location for a start is just superb . You're walkable to everything . Beach is a bout 200 yards away .
Anyway nice walkway up to door and lovely reception area showing also lovely large dining area to right and again lovely large bar lounge area to left . Young lady at reception warm and welcoming and patient with me ( I have a little voice disability) .
My room was on first floor so apart from taking my suitcase up I never bothered using the two lifts during stay .
My room had two single bed together both good dimensions excellent toilet and shower room to all this and hotel itself lovely and clean . My room did not have sea view but the majority do .
Believe me I had a good wee time on that wee holiday and the hotel made it . Thank you .
Cheers. DONALD .
GGuest UserVery good, breakfast is OK, I like the jelly sea of the hotel the most, next to the small red book famous net red hotel, when I stayed, it was a third of the price of the hotel next to me. I think the price is very high.
GGuest UserThe apartments are well appointed in Santa Ponsa just a short walk from the bay and restaurants. I was welcomed by the night manager who was very helpful. The apartment was clean and well equipped. I have no issues with the 'front of house' experience. But, I question the company's ability to rationalise a dispute fairly. I was there for 2 nights only, visiting for a special occasion.
When I returned from eating after a long day I was locked out of my room and the night manager couldn't gain access with his pass key. He kindly arranged another room for me but all my belongings were locked in the other room.
I was due to be picked up the following morning for a trip into Palma, but missed the opportunity as I had to stay to wait for my belongings. They had to break into the room to access my stuff. The company's view towards my compensation was that they gave me another room so that's all they were prepared to offer, well I should hope they did give me another room I'd paid for it. I can't be bothered to take this any further to be honest, but be mindful if you're staying here and you have medication in your room, for example.
CChristianSkasGreat location in the second row from the beach. The highlight is the infinity pool on the roof. With a glass bottom and a view of the sea. However, the pool is not heated. The breakfast offered a lot of choice. Both international and Spanish dishes were available. For our taste, however, it was far too sweet. The artificial juices in particular were almost undrinkable. The standard room with a balcony and a view of the city. Not huge, but pleasantly furnished. With a wide bed, open wardrobe, microwave and free mini-bar (water, juices, refilled daily). Not a luxury hotel, but overall highly recommended...!!!
MMiss M 2023Nice Hotel. Breakfast and Dining area spotless which is excellent.
Great location. Nice friendly staff. View from breakfast level was AMAZING!
My view from room was awful, I had end room so my balcony faced a wall and had some garbage from other guests thrown down into it. Cleared that up myself.
Room size excellent! Really felt at home in my room.
Bathroom had some cleanliness issues, saw many short curly light brown hairs on sink, shower floor, on shower gel and shower handle. But this didn’t ruin anything. For the room, the only thing I will say is it’s missing basic hotel room items like kettle tea/coffee making facilities. Body cream little bits like that in the bathroom.
Apart from that it was a great stay and I would return!
GGuest UserThis is our 2nd trip to this hotel. It’s now on a B&B only ( we had half board last year) with the breakfast served across the road in a restaurant with the best views across the bay! Great selection of food and drinks.
The man on reception is super helpful and friendly even at 11.45pm!
Lovely small hotel with a small pool
Comfy beds and the balcony is spacious with an area to dry towels etc. The hotel offers towels for rent but we bought one for €5 in the supermarket next door.
Cleaned every day and cleaned well.
Lots of restaurants and shops close by.
The fabulous beach is a 10minute stroll, with a massive supply of sun beds ( €20.50 a day for 2 beds under a fixed umbrella and an attached safety box)
We will definitely go back to Playas del Rey
