"As seasoned travelers, this is by far the most satisfying hotel we've ever stayed in. Period. You get five-star service at a business hotel price. From the front desk to the rooms and restaurant, the service is top-notch and the staff are incredibly well-trained. The hotel restaurant offers set menus for two, with both Cantonese and local options, and the portions are generous enough for three people. The chef is outstanding; the food looks, smells, and tastes amazing. It's about an hour's drive from the Fanjing Mountain tourist attraction. Highly recommend!"

Yinfeng Hotel (Tongren High-speed Railway Station) ★★

"This hotel is super close to the train station. As soon as you exit, just look to your right and you'll see the big, clear 'Yinfeng Hotel' sign. It's literally a one or two-minute walk – so convenient! The soundproofing on the windows is great, so it's pretty quiet. Inside, the hotel is really well-decorated, the hot water pressure is excellent, and the bathroom facilities are quite high-end, with fully smart toilets and curtains. The bedding is clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were also very helpful. We left our luggage at the front desk when we went to visit Fanjing Mountain and stayed here again when we came back. The price is also very reasonable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fanjing Mountain!"

Chuan Shang Yu Nan Cheng Bie Yuan Homestay (Tongren Ancient City Branch) ★★★★

"The environment is great, full of ancient charm. The entire courtyard has a classic, antique feel. However, if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping, I wouldn't recommend it. It's an old wooden house with high ceilings, and even with renovations, it's pretty much soundproof. But the beautiful surroundings and excellent location make it worth overlooking that one flaw. It's just a minute or two's walk from the Zhongnan Archway, making it super convenient whether you want to stroll around the old town or head to Zhonghuan International. Plus, the staff are really enthusiastic and quick to resolve any issues you might have."

"The location is great, with a large supermarket downstairs where I stocked up on a lot of things. Xiao Zhou's service was warm and thoughtful, always putting guests first. The room was quite spacious, and the interior decor and amenities were decent. What's really worth mentioning is how quiet it was – I couldn't hear any outside noise or sounds from the hallway, and the air conditioning was very quiet too. Breakfast was especially generous with a wide variety, including several local Tongren specialties. However, it would be even better if there was a coffee machine."

JI Hotel (Tongren Railway Station) ★★★

"The hotel is located near Tongren Railway Station, just a 15-minute walk from the station, so catching the early bus to Fanjingshan is no problem at all. The room has the same minimalist, natural wood style as the Ji Hotel, clean and cozy. What I loved most was the tea table by the window, complete with the same high-quality tea set as the Ji Hotel's lifestyle store. After climbing Fanjingshan, my back was sore, but brewing a pot of tea and watching the city street scene outside the window instantly relaxed me. I must commend the front desk service. The ladies were incredibly warm and attentive, giving me a handwritten local food guide. Following their recommendations, I found a hidden gem in Tongren Old Town: roasted pig's trotters. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, each bite burst with juice, sprinkled with Guizhou's unique chili powder—so delicious I couldn't stop eating! In the evening, I also had local barbecue—fresh beef and shrimp with a secret dipping sauce—it was so satisfying! Knowing I had to catch a flight the next day, the ladies proactively booked a car to the airport for me and even reminded me to pack breakfast in advance. Having stayed at so many chain hotels, the attention to detail and the warmth of this Ji Hotel are truly exceptional. It's clean, comfortable, has a superb location, and offers attentive service. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tongren!"
