Temple Point Resort ★★★★
"After our 7 days safari,we looked for a quiet place to relaxe and we found it at Temple Point Resort. We called it oasis of peace.Houses with the rooms setteled in beautifull park, little private beach, wonderfull Mida Creek sunsets, helpfull and kind personnel.Special thanks to Emmanuel, who arranged for us some trips. We highly reccomand all day trip with dolphin watching, snorkelling and rich seafood lunch on the way. Genneraly:we were several times in the hotels of Diani beach and in Malindi and Kilifi ,it was nice, but it was noisy, busy, with agressive locals at the beach, here you have private beach and nice quiet walks"
AHG Lion Beach Resort ★★★
"We stayed at this hotel for 10 days on an all-inclusive basis. It's a lovely hotel, relatively small and therefore family-friendly, but it has everything you could need; you'll be pampered. There's a beautiful pool and the beach is right next door. There's also a massage center. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The entertainment team is always attentive to guests and always there to help or accompany you in town. There are daily activities throughout the day. A big thank you and well done to everyone; we had a wonderful holiday. I highly recommend it!"
GK Palm Resort Watamu ★★★
"Wow! This is a place my wife and I would like to stay again, especially once the WiFi signal is stabilized and speeds optimized, which I was assured is being sorted out. This affected my room and is the only reason for the missing star. :( The staff is very responsive. Lydia, the receptionist, went above and beyond to cater to us. She is the undisputed anchor of the resort. The rest of the staff were friendly and always checked in whenever we passed by them. The rustic Italian architecture and ground landscaping transfers you to a different world and time. We made a few suggestions about room lighting to evoke a better ambience but that was just personal taste. Another guest might scoff at it! The pool is well maintained. We enjoyed several swims even though I'm nowhere near a master of the sport. Being the good swimmer that she is, my wife gave me some valuable lessons. Perhaps that's why I married her. :) The restaurant food quality was okay but there are some other options around like Ndoto Cafe, where we had some of the best chicken curry and local cuisines we've ever tasted in our lives. It's a hidden local gem, and only 2-minutes stroll away. Try it. GK Palms Resort anyone? Yes, please!!! Again? Yes and yes!!!"
The One ★★★★
"Location was good. Atmosphere was fantastic, rooms were very spacious, bed too big for one person, cleanliness was ok,there was no koise at all, services were good, only that meals kept repeating, amenities were ok."
Hemingways Watamu ★★★★★
"Amazing hotel in watamu beach.beautiful beach view.Very friendly staff from the reception, amazing buffet, clean rooms,Good hotel for family vacation."
Visiwa Beach Resort ★★★★
"Visiwa is a nice and pretty resort right on the beach with astonishing ocean views rooms and an excellent Italian restaurant which is probably one of the best around here. Service is very personal and accurate. We stayed for 3 nights, but I imagine spend a week without any problems."
Medina Palms ★★★★★
"The hotel runs down to the picturesque white sand beach of Watamu. Hotel has approx 50 rooms . It was blissfully quiet during our stay with only about 50% occupancy. Plenty of comfortable sunbeds and impeccable service from the pool staff. The architecure is inluenced by the Moors. Keyhole arches and running water connecting three swimming pools. Our two week stay was split because of our 5 day safari (a much recommended, wonderful experience). All staff were very friendly. Rooms were kept spotless. Although the lunch and dinner menu were the same, there was more than enough choice to satisfy the most choosy diner. We were on 'full board' and therefore accepted that drinks were not included, however, a minor complaint, for a 5* hotel, was that even water was not included when dining. Took several walks into the centre of Watamu and felt quite safe. Returned by motor cycle taxi or Tuk Tuk at very little cost. A good experience and a way to see local life and culture. A great holiday and would do it all again."
Barracuda Inn Resort ★★★★
"My impression of the structure is very positive and above all of the staff and cleanliness of both the rooms and the rest.....obviously small details to be reviewed but which in any case do not imply a negative opinion....only 2 things in my opinion to be resolved: wifi given that it is paid, it should be extended beyond the reception and on the beach there are very few sunbeds compared to the number of guests. Amazing holiday ❤️🌍"
Kobe Suite Resort ★★★★★
"Fantastic beach location but when tide is in unable to walk on the beach. The suites are large however they are very dark, even with all the lights on, also our bathroom was quite tired. All the electric sockets are European rather than the 3 pin Kenya socket, presumably due to a lot of guests being Italian. If you’re going for a true Kenya experience then this isn’t the place as all the staff speak Italian rather than Swahili. The food was very good although due to the restaurant being open to the public we found service was slow. Staff were very friendly and helpful"

The Charming Lonno Lodge Watamu
"Coming to Lonno Lodge we didn’t have any clue of what to expect. All that prompted us to decide to book our stay there was the pictures we saw and some reviews we read. The moment we were dropped off at the reception though, we were met with this level of peace and calmness that you could almost touch. Oh Silvia and Aldo are the embodiment of that atmosphere. The place is very quiet that even the guests immediately adhere to that unwritten policy. It is a concept that really requires capable imagination and even more dedication and commitment to achieve. One can easily witness this in the way that you don’t normally see majority of the staff but somehow you find your room cleaned up and the compound cleared regularly. Silvia is always there to assist you plan your day. She comes up with suggestions and recommendations of things to do and restaurants to go to and it does not disappoint. Aldo is the quiet power house behind the scenes making sure that the property stays operational. The idea to rely on green energy is impeccable that there is no disturbance of a generator as there is quite frequent power outages. The desalinated water from the ocean is such resource that can accommodate any level of demand. Finally the staff starting with Grace the ever smiling receptionist all the way to the servers, masseuses and cleaners are exceptional. Aldo and Silvia have really created a tranquil haven in the outskirts of Watamu. A place you must visit."
Rafiki Tamu Residential Resort
"We stayed at Rafiky at the end of August 2023... beautiful experience... relaxing place and very close to all the places we wanted to visit, very clean... all the staff helpful and kind and always with a smile... our cook Betty fantastic.....we will definitely return..asante sana kafiky..."
Life Resort St. Thomas Royal Palm
"I stayed at this resort from February 20th to 28th. We organized the two-day, one-night safari with Strawberry!!! The service was excellent, and our guide, Rama, managed to show us all the animals of the savannah up close in just two days. Thanks also to the super driver, Mwamba, who drove incredibly fast and as soon as he heard on the radio that an animal was somewhere, he would get there at incredible speed! Everything was incredible and so much fun, it almost seemed fake. If I had more days, I would definitely have done more Safaris with Strawberry! Jambo!"
Jacaranda Beach Resort
"Excellent location right next to the beach. Beautiful palm trees. Lamu style high beds. Clean room. Friendly staff. Dull cyclic menu. Would be nice to have a la carte on offer. (Its always lovely for us to have a variety/choice and be served and consequently pay for it as well as appreciate the server. Nothing to write home about. Service and facility felt undistinguished for the price paid and the star rating of the establishment. However not regrettable. I would recommend for families and group vacationers."
Blue Bay Village
"The room is OK, the environment is good, the beautiful beach"
Baobab Village
"We stayed in this villa for a few days and overall the experience was positive. The property is truly beautiful: spacious, clean, well-furnished, and features a well-kept garden and a always-clean pool. The location is also excellent, just steps from the sea, perfect for those seeking relaxation and comfort. One strong point I absolutely want to highlight is the chef service: Edison was extraordinary, not only for the quality of the dishes he prepared, but also for his availability and friendliness. I highly recommend everyone take advantage of this service. The on-site laundry service is also very convenient. Unfortunately, I must report an unpleasant incident that occurred on the first night: a thief managed to get in through the window and stole cash and some electronic devices. We were told this was an absolutely isolated incident and had never happened before. Upon request, the management introduced a night-time security service within the village starting the following night. Despite this unexpected event, which we truly hope remains an isolated incident, we had a great time. With new security measures and a camera system that I hope they will implement soon, we believe the property can continue to offer positive experiences to future guests."
