"The truth is that the Rif Mangrove Beach Resort gave me a disappointing reception on May 24th when I arrived. They didn't have my reservation confirmed by Trip on record, but the personal attention was downright frustrating. Far from condoning the guest for Trip's error, they treated us with an arrogance worthy of indecorous people. We received very offensive treatment since if there had been an error in the reservation on the part of Trip, the hotel should have proceeded to contain and solve the problem, none of this happened. This caused a lot of stress and an unforgettable negative experience."

"Beautiful resort and best all inclusive experience I've had to date. I'm not an all inclusive person but the quality of the food was excellent and the food was very tasty. The service was great everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The property is gorgeous and had a lot of space and different areas which made your stay even more comfortable. You don't need to leave the resort it has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Also very easy to travel to. Can't wait to come back!"

"The hotel is nice, but the service was terrible. They kept me waiting for my room after check-in. I arrived at 3 pm and they didn't give it to me until 4 pm, and then at the last minute they gave me the wrong room. It's supposed to be all-inclusive, and the drinks were poorly prepared and they didn't have the ingredients to make them. The food at Portofino was salty. Then, at the steakhouse, I ordered medium-rare and the meat arrived incredibly tough. I ended up sick and had stomach cramps all night. I had to pay for the medical expenses myself since the hotel doesn't have a medical clinic. In the end, it's expensive and not worth the price. We spoke with many guests and they were all disappointed. Go to another hotel."

Pietermaai Oasis

"My dive buddies and I spent eight nights at the Pietermaai Oasis. We received a very warm welcome from Daisy, and since we had sent our documents before our trip, we received our room keys in no time. She showed us all five of our rooms and the two pools. My room was the furthest one on the first floor, under the roof. It was a good size and had a small kitchenette. The rooms are clean and equipped with a large refrigerator. Café James is right next to the hotel and serves excellent breakfast and lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pietermaai Oasis!"

"We ended up booking this last minute as we came to Curacao two days early to beat a bad winter storm in the USA. Our resort we had booked for the rest of the trip was full. My wife and I did a little research and watched a youtube video and decided on this hotel. That was a great decision. As great as it was to decide to leave early or we likely wouldn't have made it to Curacao. The entire staff was amazing. The converted monastery gave it extra charm. The pool was small, but perfect for us to relax in. We were surprised that the bar wasn't open one night. I think it was a Saturday. But the front desk receptionist was able to get us drinks. Even after she left for the night, the security guy was able to get us simple drinks. He didn't speak English very well or understand bartending, but was able to get us what I wanted by pointing at the bottles. I would definitely recommend this place."

"loved the beach, the Pools, the bars, the resort in general, the outdoor areas were clean and well looked after and the staff was great. As for the room it was clean which made my wife happy, but very noisy A/C units barely able to keep up with the heat TV that does work, front door difficult to close. Annoying problems that be easily corrected. You can see it's an older resort that needs some loving. The Staff was better than expected, they were great. I think management needs to ensure these basic items are fully functional /repaired to the same degree that their staff delivers the great service to their guests. Watchout for the Unlimited Vacation Club upsell, hard to see how that's going to work if you can't bring the rooms into the 21 century level."
