Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yamagata Ekimae
"Very good location, close to Yamakata station and plenty of restaurants around the hotel. Hotel room is spacious, perfectly clean !"
Takamiya Ryokan Miyamaso
"This hotel, despite being over 300 years old, boasts beautiful decor, and the staff are very polite. The hotel offers stunning views, and the sulfur hot springs are decent with their own scenic backdrop. They also have private hot springs, but these need to be booked in advance! What truly surprised me was dinner – it was absolutely fantastic!"
Richmond Hotel Yamagata Ekimae
"A very pleasant 2 nights stay in this modern hotel with spacious room. Check-in and assistance from receptionists was friendly and helpful. It's a short walk from the station, bus stops and a large supermarket. A nice touch is the free coffee/tea or ice cream in the dining area from 12-12pm. We have stayed in Richmond hotels before and will do so again."
Yamagata Eki Nishiguchi Washington Hotel
"Fantastic! The location is super convenient, directly connected to Yamagata Station, making it incredibly easy to find. And the views are absolutely beautiful!!! The hotel is also very tall!!! One more thing: I left a pair of headphones and some souvenirs at the hotel, but only realized it after leaving Yamagata. The Trip.com customer service really went above and beyond, communicating with the hotel for two full days to help me out. The hotel was also incredibly kind and helpful in resolving the issue ˘̩̩̩ε˘̩ƪ 🥹🥹🥹🥹 I'll never forget this; I'm truly delighted."
Takamiya Hotel Lucent
"Service is ok . Room is acceptable . Location is excellent if you are going for ski."
Zao Onsen Omiya Ryokan
"This time, I booked this hotel with friends for a hot spring and skiing trip to Zao. The hotel's location is excellent; you can walk to the ski resort and take the cable car up the mountain. It's also very close to the shuttle bus station for the city center. The hotel is quite large with many stairs (a bit like a maze). Although the hot spring is small, the temperature is just perfect, not too hot. I really loved it! 💕"
Zao Kokusai Hotel
"Very nice hotspring facility, both indoor and outdoor. Service is exceptional, there is a shuttle that will send you to anywhere within Zao Onsen village, and pick you up back to the hotel if you call. Our room was Japanese style with mountain view."
Yamashiroya Ryokan
"Thank you for turning on the air conditioner to cool the room before check-in. I was very happy with the landlady's thoughtfulness. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the opportunity."
Meitoya So
"Stayed 3 nights for skiing. Customer service was exceptional and sincere. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner throughout our stay. Highly recommended。"

Yoshidaya Ryokan
"It was perfect. I loved the old house full of history, they even put on pictures of the employees on the wall. The woman who welcomed me was lovely, her English was great and made it super easy for me to understand how the ryokan is working and how to access everything in town. My room was great, spacious tatami room with all the amenities on disposal (towels, toothbrush, coffee, tea). The hot springs was AMAZING. 10/10."
Yamagata Grand Hotel
"Living experience is good, it’s also very close to Tendo, so we went to pick cherries."
Toyoko Inn Yamagata-eki Nishi-guchi
"The hotel is clean with friendly staff"
Yamagata Nanokamachi Washington Hotel
"Far from bus station. About 25 mins walk. Breakfast is very good with a wide variety of choice. Onsen is good. Service is friendly. Surrounded by Lawson, 7 eleven and family mart. Lots of shops around."
Zao Shiki No Hotel
"Onsen is perfect and the breakfast is with a lot of varieties. The staff is helpful and friendly."
Zao Plaza Hotel
"The location, food and services are good. The only downside was that there was no laundry service or coin laundry available."
Takamiya Hotel Rurikura Resort
"I stayed here from March 2nd to 4th for the purpose of skiing. I booked a mountain view twin room, but because I am a member I was able to stay in a residential suite room. I was able to relax in a wonderful room. The front desk and restaurant staff were as friendly as ever, and the customer service was also good. I especially liked the part-time student from Rikkyo University who only served us for one day. Breakfast is a buffet, but dinner was delicious and satisfying, with improved quantity and quality. The chef's homemade edible chrysanthemum sauce was particularly delicious. The large public bath, Zao Onsen, is clean and excellent. The location is very convenient, as it is close to the Zao Ropeway and Meihinkan Notoya."
JURIN
"Came for ski trip. Located in the middle of the hill perfect for ski in and out. The reception is very helpful, there’s a Solomon rental Center at the hotel. Hotel also sell ski pass at a discount price."

"Good dinner"
Super Hotel Yamagataeki Nishiguchi Natural Hot Springs
"The day we checked in, the onson was not provided as heater was broken. It was a huge disappointment as we just drove long hours from Tokyo and expected to rest in onson. If the hotel can suggest other onson place or provide vochur, it would be nice. But we asked and there was nothing. Breakfast was good. And the night bar was a special idea."
