"I have stayed at many Zhixuan hotels. To be honest, I am quite disappointed with this one. I stayed at Zhixuan hotels in Hangzhou during the Chinese New Year last year. There were various children's New Year activities in the lobby, as well as small gifts and rich breakfast. I can tolerate the age of this Yixing hotel, but the style of the old hotel should still be there. The walls of the room and toilet are peeling and bubbling, the toilet water drips and makes a sound all the time, and the door is also bumpy. The breakfast that I was most looking forward to was also very disappointing. It really can't be compared with other Zhixuan hotels. It's too simple. There is nothing to eat. The service staff also made spitting sounds in public (although they didn't spit, they went into the kitchen to spit), but we heard such sounds while eating, which was also disgusting."

After soaking in various pools, a session in the steam room was incredibly relaxing. Our butler, Sister Xiaowei, reminded us daily to keep our room stocked with drinks, fruit, and dry towels, and even suggested daily sightseeing routes. The entire stay was incredibly comfortable, making us feel right at home."

"The hotel is located less than 10 kilometers from Yixing Station, with major shopping centers like Wanda Plaza and Babaiban nearby. Yixing Museum is also conveniently within walking distance. However, popular attractions such as the Bamboo Sea and Pottery Factory No. 2 are quite a distance away. Our room was very spacious and offered an unbeatable view. On the downside, the facilities felt a bit dated – for instance, there were no charging outlets by the bed, suggesting the room hasn't been updated in quite some time. The elevators were also quite noisy, which even light sleepers might find noticeable late at night. Breakfast is served on the 60th floor. The selection remained largely identical throughout our two-day stay. Do note that children taller than 1.1 meters are charged 58 RMB for breakfast."

"I specifically booked a room with a balcony, but I wouldn't recommend the Bamboo Retreat King Room. The 'balcony' shown in the picture was explained to be an 'inner balcony,' which was just a solid wall separated from the room by a sliding glass door. It felt stuffy, oppressive, dim, and had a strange smell, almost like being in a prison. There was no bathtub, and the bathroom was tiny. However, the butler was excellent and helped us switch to a room with a proper balcony, which was a huge improvement. We're very grateful for that. The bedding in the room was good, and the two beds could be combined. Room service was fast, but the TV casting feature was broken. Even after maintenance came to try and fix it, it still failed, and nothing further was done about it. Regarding the hotel and scenic area activities and package details, you really need to proactively ask about everything as there are no reminders. For example, for the hotel-provided firework viewing spots, it's best to call and ask in advance, as no one will tell you, but if you ask, you can book it beforehand. The shuttle service isn't very convenient either. It's not an on-demand service; there are only a few fixed stops, and you have to wait for it like a bus. It also can't go inside the scenic area. Overall, the service felt a bit lacking. Despite the service issues, the Ctrip package offers good value for money. The Birds of Prey show included with the ticket is definitely worth seeing. The scenic train B line was a bit boring, but the Yaohu Town has great aesthetics. The evening water show and fireworks were also good. Coming in summer for stream trekking would be fantastic. It's also very convenient to explore at night and then return to the room, making it perfect for a two-day, one-night stay. The food within the scenic area was surprisingly good. It would be even better if the service could be improved."

"Decided to visit Yixing spontaneously while the weather was still pleasant. Stayed for two nights, and the front desk upgraded our room to a beautiful one with a wide-open lake view. The breakfast wasn't lavish, but it was enough to fill up. Wanda Plaza is right next door, and they even have a Cha Yan Yue Se (tea shop) with no lines! Yixing Museum is just a short walk across the street and was open even on a Monday. It's a bit far from the Bamboo Sea, but hey, Cha Yan Yue Se is right next door, and it's close to the high-speed rail station. Yixing is a great place to visit, with lots of tourist attractions like Pottery Factory No. 2, Gu Nan Street, and the grottoes. Plus, there's no traffic congestion, and the hotel was quite affordable. All in all, a good experience."
